Isla Fisher is the author and narrator of this book. Isla Fisher is hilarious.

Wacky Marge, Jemima and Jakey’s babysitter entertains the reader with her antics in this 3rd instalment, however Marge is always on the ball when looking after her charges.

Playful and delightful.

Three more stories about the quirky babysitter and her charges

My son BEGGED me to get this from the library when we saw the audiobook on the shelf. He's loved the last two, which took me by surprise somewhat, and hung on every word in the car.

Marge, the rainbow-haired babysitter who twists the rules to make sure the children have a fantastic time when their parents are away, now takes Jemima and Jakey to the zoo, on a train and on the hunt for a lost tooth.

We enjoyed Isla Fisher's narration and I particularly love little Jakey and his own little rules, he's a very realistic 4 year old. Jemima as narrator works, and Marge is always such a spirited character, with tricks up her sleeve that my son just loves hearing.

Works well on CD, we've tried them on paper too. Some fun adventures here, we liked the tooth as my son is losing his at the moment, and the zoo escapade.

Definitely we'll look out for any more.

One for ages 5-9 in particular.

The best thing about reading one of Isla Fisher's books is that for those (vital) moments you're not watching one of her films.

If you haven't discovered these books than your in for a treat,

As I was reading this, I found myself smiling, Isla Fisher's writing reminded me of my favorite children's author, New Zealand's own Margaret Mahy.
Jemima Button is seven and her brother Jake is four. Their parents, when they go out, leave them with a their babysitter Marge. Marge is short, serious and wearing sensible clothing and a hat. But as soon as their parents leave the hat comes off and you can see Marge;s rainbow colored hair and colorful clothes. Every book features three hilarious adventures.
The stories about their escapades are funny, not too long, or too challenging for newly independent readers.

The newest installment of Isla Fisher's series "Marge in Charge". It's funny, adventurous and delightful set of three stories about Jemima and her younger brother Jakey and their ecclectic babysitter Marge and their escapades!

I had the pleasure of meeting Isla at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August where she was promoting this book. Her stories read just like her, her personality shines through in her stories and children can't help but fall in love with her charm, nor that of Marge!

The partners' (couples) dinners a.r.e. "ALWAYS BORING"... see ALWAYS HUNGRY... by Dr David Ludwig. They are all possessed and addicted to the food. And the Addam's Family children'$ adventures a.r.e. stolen from other sources and thus cancerous. Get your records straight. We are not bewitched or addicted to or seduced by fame.

Marge the unforgettable babysitter along with Jemima and Jake are back with another set of three short stories about rescuing a train (I loved the bit about getting the cow to get off the railway track!), helping Jake with his wobbly tooth which he calls Tim and their hilarious visit to the zoo - Marge is just about as entertaining as the animals!

Marge is the babysitter kids dream of. She’s unusual, has great rules and has lots of fun. This collection of three short stories focuses on the missing tooth, a train rescue and a day at the zoo.
All three stories are short, fast paced and entertaining.

Recommended for 8+. Very good for bedtime stories.

This book is perfect for early first readers . The three short tales are full of humour and imagination
and large enough print to pick out early words but they are also just the right length for a bedtime story. Illustrations are great too to keep the interest.

Lovely stories that can be read to a younger a child or read together or for a competent reader to read on their own.

I would of loved to have had a babysitter like Marge when I was younger, who was full of adventures and fun things to do.

I’m always impressed by authors who can create a fun, exciting adventure story without any nasty villains, and which can entertain a wide age range of kids (4-10 in my house). I’ll definitely be getting the rest of the series!

Book Three in the Marge in Charge collection.

Have you met Marge? She has rainbow hair, tells wild stories and is the best babysitter in the whole world. Now things do sometimes go off the rails when Marge is around but Jake and Jemima dont mind. After all, no one else could rescue a train, help Jakey's wobbly tooth or cause chaos at the zoo.

This book is absolutely amazing.

With her rainbow hair and mischievous personality, there is plenty of fun when Marge is in charge.

I am a massive fan of the Marge in Charge collection, so I was very excited to get my hands on this book, and once again it was worth the wait.

Isla Fisher has done an amazing job with this book. Containing three wonderfully fun stories and fantastic illustration by Eglantine Ceulemans, this book is the perfect book for young readers.

Isla Fisher has created truly great characters to journey with, these great characters seamlessly carry through the strange and unpredictable stories.

With creative plots, great characters and wonderfully entertaining story telling, Marge And The Great Train Rescue by Isla Fisher is a must have for all young readers.
