More professional than most of these bargain crime anthologies. Sixteen cases are presented in 120 pages, so the accounts are concise (and dispassionate) but they include enough detail to make the entries interesting.

For some killers while they may be nonviolent when they are committing criminal activities alone, but something happens when the wrong two people get together. Their latent psychotic tendencies come out. Most of these killer pairs were men, but surprisingly when the other half of the pair is a woman the murders committed are often more depraved. Many of the women are used as lures. While a young girl or boy may not trust a strange man to go with but they are more likely to trust an extremely devious woman. This makes them very dangerous to potential victims. These heartless harpies often stood aside just watching the cruel barbaric treatment inflicted on the kidnapped victims (whether they be children or women). They would then help in getting rid of the bodies. These truly terrible partners in crime while terrible weren't as horrific to their victims as when the killer pair were both men.

The two men seemed to be more ruthless, frightening, and brutal than a man woman pairing. These men would come up with creative, merciless, disgusting ways to torture their victims. They became ferocious beasts utilizing various methods to kill and terrorize their victims. No one was exempt including family members. Robert Keller really brought together a very eclectic grouping of serial killer pairs. But one book wasn't enough to cover the many monsters that work in tandem. So Mr. Keller wrote a second book that also focused on Deadly Pairs. This is a great book for true crime fans.

Not my favorite but...

This book is not in my favorite top 30 list of books written by the prolific author Robert Keller simply because I knew of and have read full length books about most of the killers in this anthology. However, he is such an amazing author, none of his books deserve less than four stars. Here we read of gruesome twosomes who murder wantonly all over the world. The book is a great intro into duel serial killers if that is something you are interested in reading. Really, pick up any of Keller's books. They're all that good.

Good informative true crime book.

Robert Keller is a great crime writer and this book lived up to the previous ones I've read. His talent for telling the facts around these despicable crimes is a joy to behold.
