I found this book (along with Gelinas Accounting Information System, recommended by the other 'guru') pretty much good. The cases included really help me to understand comprehensively about building a system for all financial cycle.

Pretty clear breakdown of how an AIS system works. This was a textbook for a class with a rather abysmal professor, and I'm thiking that combined with a stronger professor, this could be an excellent tool for teaching AIS.
