Days before the start of Spring semester, astrophysics professor Spencer Harris meets the man of his dreams. Sexy, funny, and as much of a nerd as he is, Jesse is perfect, and the prospect of getting to know him better after their amazing night together is the best thing that’s happened to him in years.
That is, until he turns up in Spencer’s office as the new visiting professor.
All of Jesse’s wishes have come true at once--a new job, new town, and new romantic interest who’s cute, smart, and really, really good in bed. Except it turns out that he’s about to share an office with him, and that means they’re both stuck with the college’s fraternization policy. Neither of them can afford to risk their jobs, so they’ll just have to wonder what might have been if they’d met some other time.
But Spencer looks really good when he bends over. And Jesse’s habit of sucking on pens is really distracting. And it’s not as if anyone would ever have to know…
But secrets have a way of getting out. Star-crossed lovers have a way of getting caught.
What happens when you meet the right man at the wrong time?
Spring Fling is a standalone gay romance with a HEA, and does not end on a cliffhanger. However, it does contain astrophysics lectures, forbidden love, explicit sex scenes, and a carnivorous plant.
Sean Ashcroft likes rainy days, white hot chocolates (don't knock it 'til you've tried it!) and boys kissing in books. He currently resides in Australia, all the way down at the bottom of the mainland in a sleepy little seaside town.
He writes sweet, hot books about sweet, hot boys who absolutely deserve each other.
*** Spring Fling is delightful for our star gazer and his botanist ! *** Hunky tattooed Jesse, 29, is new to the area. It's a good night for a hook up before he starts his new job. He spots Spencer at the bar, and he's interested. Spencer, also 29 is cute, funny and also ready for a fling. As a professor of Astrophysics, in other words, a "nerd," he's been alone a long time. Jesse and Spencer get along so well. Funny talks, deep conversations, and they are extremely compatible in bed. Wow ! One night is not enough for either man.
On Monday morning when Jesse is led on the campus tour and shown his office, there is Spencer. Professor Spencer and Professor Jesse will be sharing an office, and the fun begins.
The Astro-professor and the Botany-professor decide to have some more awesome sexy times, and keep it professional at work. It works great for awhile, but folks can't help but see the stars in their eyes when they look at each other. A crabby teacher tries to start problems, of course. Our men are adorable, low key, terrific and loving. Both are nerdy in their own way and absolutely get along in every area of life. This is a smooth plot, with fun sexy times,
and a happy ending. You'll be smiling through this story and feel cuddly, too. ENJOY ! ============
4.5 STARS ⭐️ (I'm thinking about Spencer of course!)

I really loved this story! ADORABLE!
A lovely story of romance and sweetness, how not to love Jesse & Spencer? The writing was so well done, I enjoyed reading every page and what about the happy ending? *_* it's worth it! I like to read books with both characters' POV cause you're able to get better into the story and you can be more engaged with their feelings.
I'm not going to get into my list of 7,487 ways in which **this is not how academia works.** Even putting all that aside, this was an extremely weak showing: paper thin plot and characterizations.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is a sweet instant love book. The relationship seemed to work well. The relationship seemed believable and the couple were well matched. There wasn't anything fantastic about this book it was an average read. If people want a quick no fuss romantic read this is it.
I am a big Sean Ashcroft fan. I love the connection I feel to his characters. He instantly had me with this story. I love the get together, have smoking hot sex and find out crap, I cannot have a relationship with this person. I love the conflict with Spencer not wanting to ruin his career over what was supposed to be a one night stand, and Jesse not wanting to hurt Spencers career either as Jesse is only a temporary teacher. Of course all secrets come out in books and the meddler did his best to ruin Spencers career and his future. When Jesse showed his resignation papers to Spencer I was in tears. It was the perfect grand gesture. If I was a better reviewer I would wax poetic over the storyline.
Spencer is a professor of astrophysics, hoping to get tenure in the next few years. After a night with a guy he thinks is out if his league, Jesse, he returns for the new semester.
Jesse is a visiting professor of botany, and he’ll be sharing the office with Spencer. Try as they might not to “fraternize”, as per school policy, they can’t help but be attracted.
They take the risk, have a secret affair that everyone around them wonders about, and fall in love. When they’re discovered, they figure out a way to make things work.
If you have issues with big, strong late 20's dudes with tatts teaming up with bookish nerd college professors, just look at the cover of this book and toss all your preconceptions aside. That's because Spencer (on the left) and Jesse (on the right) are as compatible in their wants and needs and goals as they are separate in their appearances.
This is a wonderfully paced, seriously hot, sometimes angsty and once in a while weepy romance between two men who might look like budding buds when they are walking toward you but who meld into scorching, inescapable and insatiable lovers when the doors close.
The thing is even though it's set in a small Montana college town, it's really believable.
There isn't much I can add to tug you into the pages other than to suggest you read the blurb, look at the cover, and get ready for a very loving time.
This was a sweet story about two people meeting at exactly the wrong time, and a stupid workplace fraternization rule standing in the way of their relationship. What I really liked about this story was the way these two were completely honest about what they wanted and their fears. They communicated, there was no silly misunderstanding, and problems were solved heads-on. This was my first book by this author, but not the last!
Spencer and Jesse are two people who weather the storm to be together and a stupid rule so a school can cover their behinds says a lot but they fought for there love to have the kind of life they wanted and I'm so happy Spencer went out that night and met Jesse
Even though I think that this is well written and tightly scripted and the protagonists are nicely developed and portrayed, I think the premise of this story leaves it a bit unfullfilling. To think that an academic institution would have a sanction against two equal colleagues from fraternization is a bit difficult to accept.
This is a nerdtastic story! I think I have been in the mood for cutesy, soft, easy romances and this fit the bill. It is a story about two guys meet at precisely the best time for them and the worst time for everyone else. Even though there wasn't much time for their friendship to build, they still felt like good friends to me by the time they decided to take a risk. Jesse is so considerate of Spencer's feelings and is respectful of his reasons for hesitating to continue a relationship. Spencer is also considerate with Jesse by making a valiant effort to be a friend and not push the boundaries. Due to the circumstances of their jobs, they decide to just stay friends. But, as we know with all good romances, the tension gets a little too palpable, close proximity makes things a bit too heated and combustible...then boom, fireworks. The end was a bit on the predictable side and it seemed to take them a long time to get to the conclusion, but overall a good read.
What an enjoyable breath of fresh air. These two were sweet and loving and so adorably nerdy that I couldn't help but fall in love with both of them and hope that they could figure out how to get their happily ever after. And along the way I was treated to two adorably sexy geeks who just melted my heart and who were also hot as heck in the bedroom, wowza. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Highly recommend this one.
This is an ARC review. I usually don't like insta love books, which this definitely is. But the way it is written their relationship actually flows very well. Very little drama, and a cute HEA. If you like a fast, easy, sweet read. This book is for you!
I really liked this story. It was very fast paced and fun to read. I thought Spencer and Jesse were very likable MCs. Who knew astrophysicist’s were so interesting. I totally enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend this book.
I loved the story. Jesse and Spencer make a great couple. Two nerds. One looking like a biker dude. The other a professor. It was a little slower than the author's usual books but was a very good read.
