Matthew 5:9 was an appropriate verse for the book and the series. " Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.

MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

This series depicts that saying throughout every story. Money brings out the worst in people. Money makes people lose sight of what they used to think was important. Money makes people forget about the things and people who used to matter, especially if those people have less than you do now. Money makes you forget where you came from.
In each of these stories, the treasure affects the couples in different ways. It came between them in their relationships. It tore families apart. It continued a generations-old family feud. Until finally, it came between people for the last time and the final couple finally decided to do something about it.
But does the treasure even exist? The entire town has been ransacked by people from all over the world who got wind of this pirate's treasure and were determined to be the ones to find it, but no one even found a hint that it even existed. The two families the treasure centered around both believed that if it was ever found, it belonged to them, so if it ever was found, what kind of irreparable damage would it cause? The whole town practically revolved around these two families. What would happen if there was an even bigger feud over the treasure if someone did find it?
But find it they must, if they ever wanted to put an end to the feud once and for all, or at least that's what Levi and Paige believe. Their success depends on the fact that the treasure even exists and that they can decode a journal several hundred years old which held the key to where the treasure was buried.
This was a captivating book. By the time it ended, I'd convinced myself the treasure wasn't real. Who believes in that stuff anyway? But I've been wrong before...

Where is your treasure?

The authors of this seven novella set did a great job leading me in the search for hidden treasure on the Outer Banks in Treasure Harbor, North Carolina. Each story has a prominent couple which was exciting. The stories include biblical love and forgiveness. Characters trust God to guide them in their life choices.

I wonder why this is only linked under Leah Atwood's account? I do wonder if every one will get credit with this review, curious? I need to check? Amazon can be very confusing when it comes to reviews .. a total of 5 authors within this book .. Such a fan ... new 2 each of these 4 authors ... I only recently heard of Patricia Pacjac Carroll, if you are a fan of any of these authors, you may ask where the heck have I been???!?!?! I am so playing catch up now. 1st off I love the cover, that is totally what pulled me in. The hubby & I always make a point to check out and beaches, lighthouses any where we travel to camp out. We love the coastal towns, or places. I will be checking on each of these ladies to see what I should be reading next. To add to my TBR list asap!!! It was suggested to me by Kindle Unlimited & I really did enjoy it! They do call this a novella, short and quick bits of stories, but I would so love more. Going to wet that whistle asap, I loved each bit. ( ;

Treasure Harbor is a wonderful series of seven novellas by six authors. Belle Calhoune wrote number one and six. Ms. Calhoube started the story about buried treasure from the 1700's. Two prominent families had been feuding over the treasure for centuries, even though it had not been found . It began when a man and woman, one from each of the feuding families, wanted to marry and did so secretly. But the woman's father found out about it, and attempted to kill the new husband. Instead he shot and killed his only daughter.
In turn, each author takes the story from there and develops it further. All of the novellas are well written with good characterization, plot, unity and very interesting.
The only negative thing about the book was the poor editing. There were misused words and incorrect verb tenses, but they in no way diminished the beautiful stories.
It is a must read , and I'm sure you'll enjoy it,

Treasure Harbor Complete Series set was written by Leah Atwood, Belle Calhoune, Patricia PacJac Carroll, Kristen Ethridge and Angel Moore. This series consists of “eight novellas centered around the quest to find the treasure hidden by Drake Burton, in the seventeen-hundreds.” Legend says that the treasure is somewhere near Treasure Harbor, North Carolina. Thousands of treasure seekers have come to Treasure Harbor looking for the treasure.
Although each of the novellas followed the lives of people in Treasure Harbor who were looking for the treasure, each of the novellas is quite different and each one is definitely readable. I highly recommend this series.

Amazing in its simplicity

I wasn't sure how different writers could keep the storyline pure and to the point. But, it was as if they had all sat down together to brainstorm to come up with a believable story that drew the attention of the reader to continue reading until the very end to solve the mystery of Drake Burton and his ill-fated love of Camilla Callahan and the jewels she considered to be her dowry.

Wow just wow!

Though there were a few dry areas in this series , I did expect that going into the reading of these novellas by a team of authors . I was super surprised at how the end came about , and I was not disappointed in the least! However , it would have been nice to have had an additional epilogue that included how the other couples were fairing after 2 years.

Treasure hunting, romance and faith

Beautifully written novellas, each focussing on one couples' plans, their struggles and the underpinning search for the pirate treasure. Faith in the Lord's guidance and the pwer of prayer direct the characters' paths. Reconciliation is a key message. A woderful collaboration of writing.

Treasure hunters in Treasure Harbor

When news of a 300-year-old treasure goes viral, hunters converge on little Treasure Harbor in droves. It also stirs up the Callahan-Burton rivalry. Will the youngest generation of the two feuding families finally put to rest the bad blood and find the treasure? This is an inspirational series of forgiveness and restoration you will love.

Began reading to proof for my teen daughter. Couldn't finish it. I understand it's "romance" in the Christian genre, but the repeated attempts to point out chemistry between couples and their physical beauty and attraction became drivel. A much shorter book with the plot being the focus would be 100% better than a longer book reiterating the same point.

What a great series

When seven authors can come together to create a series it ends up being a wonderful read. A few misspellings and one not quite right link, but overall a lovely read.

Mysteries that bring together famlies

These seem to be a series of short stories. Real life like tragedies & heart aches, mostly caused by short-comings, misunderstandings & hard-heartedness of unforgivenes. Would make a nice short TV series. Very interesting, very readable.

Not sure at first

At first, I was unsure how a series would work with several authors. But the storylines wove together nicely to create a larger storyline. Plus the resolution made sense and had satisfaction for the reader.

Good but long

It was a good set of novellas. But it got too long and drawn out. I admit to skipping through the last two just so I could get to the end.
