There's something lurking in all of us. Something we hide and shelter from those we love in order to protect them. A darkness we try to suppress because we're ashamed of who that makes us. Because that's the thing about Shame. It wounds us. It damages us. Or, for the few poor souls out there like me...it defines us. It's there—in the shadows, beneath the surface...just waiting. Until you let it break free And the darkness consumes you.
My name is Ricardo DeLuca. There are two things you need to know about me. The first—is that my heart will always bleed for her... Only her. The second— is that I'm the son of the devil himself—the most feared mob boss who ever lived.
That is...until me.
*** Ricardo's heart might bleed for me but my heart shatters for him. Over and over again. I thought I fought all my demons... I thought the worst was over. I was wrong. Because it's not my demon I'm battling this time... It's his. And it wants to claim something I don't have. His soul. And that's a battle I'm afraid I won't win.
"There are two sides to every story...this is how ours ENDS."

*Trigger Warning*: Any readers with sensitivity to dark reads should proceed with caution and at their own risk.
Have you ever become so invested in a story, in the characters that you feel them in your heart? Yea, that's how I feel about Lou-Lou, Ricky, Tyrone and Jackson. I lived and breathed these characters.
This is the 3rd book in the Shame series, but 4th in the entire series. There is a standalone, Blame it on the Pain, that goes along with this series. But we're here to talk about Shame 3.
This book picks up right where BIOTS part 2 ends, Ricky is out looking for Lou-Lou. Don't know why? Pick up the series! There is only one piece of one puzzle that will fit yours and these two found it. You're going to encounter many twists, dark scenes and heartbreaking situations. Ashley Jade sucks you into this story, from the very first book, chews you up in the pages of the second book and then she rips you up and spits you out with the final book. She doesn't just write a book, she brings these characters to life!
If you can't handle dark scenes, heartbreak in many situations, sexy SEXY scenes and angst, this is not the book for you!
**NO SPOILERS** Wow! I don't even know if I have words for this review. First off let me say that I was seriously invested in this series, I had read all the previous books and had loved them. They were some of my best reads of 2016 and THIS book was my most anticipated read of 2017. My expectations were set high for this book, being so invested in the series and all, but my expectations were surpassed by far. I could not of asked for more in the conclusion to this amazing series. It had all the feels and some of the most beautiful writing ever. "Nothing scares me now. I've lived in the dark for so long, it's my home. Because girls like me can't survive in the light. We wither away when the light hits us and exposes our scars to the world. Girls like me live in the dirty... we bask in the filth... and we dance with the devils in the shadows." I've never highlighted so many passages in my life in any book, but the wording was just beyond captivating. Never has a wait been more worth it, and never has a book blew my wildest expectations right out of the water. This book was everything I could of dreamed for. It was an emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows and at times my heart felt like it might explode. I cried, oh I cried so hard when I read this, because these characters had wedged a space right in my heart, so I cried for their happiness, I cried for their pain and I cried for their shame. Never could an ending be more appropriate for two characters, this wasn't just the conclusion this was Ricardo and Lou-Lou's conclusion, an ending that could of only been fit for these two. "It's the kind that kills... it's the kind that takes no prisoners . It's the kind that will wreck you and leave you mutilated. If I had to choose between life and him—and I have. I'd still choose him every time." I'd go through this emotional rollercoaster again any day just to get to this heart stopping conclusion. Ashley Jade had given us one the most captivating, heart wrenching, beautiful stories to get lost in. It's 5 star, two thumbs up, standing ovation good. Ashley Jade is a brilliant author and I myself can not wait to see what she will bring us in the future. She sets the bar high with this series and for that I commend her. "It's acceptance, it's nurturing, it's longing, it's sacrifice, and it's pain. It's beauty in the darkest places. A shred of light where there is none." *I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Get you a man who can do both. Nah, just get a Ricardo DeLuca!
Ricardo and Lou-Lou last left their story by separating from one another after a HUGE death happened in their lives. Not only did it FREE them, but it also changed them. For the better or for the worse? You'll have to read this story to see. I'm not taking the risk of spoiling anything... so that's all you're getting from me!
Ricardo. You evil dark mother chucker. I love you even though you are horrible. Ashley Jade did such a fantastic job writing this character and all of his emotions. So good. He was bad. Like so bad, but still so easy to love.
Lou-Lou! My heart breaks over and over again for this girl, but her strength through it all is amazing. Of course she has her moments, but after everything she has been through it's expected. Such a great character and her growth through the series has been fun to read!
Hmm what the heck can I say about this series? I jumped on the Shame train pretty late, but I can honestly say I am in love with everything about it. It is risky and edgy, and I really appreciate that it's not sunshine and roses all the time. This story is thunderstorms and dandelions. This is a love story that is also a hate story.
When an author writes a series like this one, they are always under a ton of pressure to deliver. To make their readers happy, to do their characters justice, and to make sure they feel good about the story they are telling. When it comes to the finale, I can only imagine those pressures are doubled. Ashley Jade absolutely KNOCKED it out of the park. This finale was beyond amazing! It was satisfying until the very last word. It didn't FEEL like an ending even though it was. It felt true to the characters, and was so suspenseful and dark while maintaining some feel good moments.
Such a good read. Highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a crime family romance with dark vibes!
He let her go. Let her be free, but what happens when there's an old threat raising from the dead to get her back.
Ricardo DeLuca has turned into the one person he didn't want to be... His father. But will his love for Lou-Lou show him he is not completely like his father?
Lou-Lou thought she was free, moving on with her life and going back to school, that was until Ricardo took her.
If I could put into words what this series has meant to me I would, but I feel like my words will do it no justice, and so I will try.
This was one of the best love stories I have ever read. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't hearts and flowers, it was raw, ugly, and emotional. If there was ever a time to root for a relationship between two characters it was definitely while I read this series.
Ricardo had became what he didn't want to be, but his love for Lou-Lou was so much more than what he became. I knew no matter what he would protect her even if it meant losing his life and the same could be said about Lou-Lou. The things that poor woman has been through broke me. Her strength spoke volumes through out not just this book, but the whole series as well.
Ashley Jade did an amazing job, and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I am sad this series has come to an end, but their story will stay with me forever.

Ashley Jade doesn't give her readers a story, she gives them an experience. A heart-wrenching, deeply emotional, thrilling experience that will leave you breathless and craving more. Flawlessly plotted and filled with emotion, Blame it on the Shame, Part 3 absolutely blew me away with its intensity and rawness. The author concludes Ricardo and Lou-Lou's story in typical Ashley Jade style: jam packed with suspense, heartache, clever twists, engaging dialogue, and absolutely brilliant writing. Ricardo and Lou Lou come face to face once again as a dangerous adversary threatens everything they hold dear. The pain and torment of the past surfaces once again as the two of them battle it out for one final round.
"It's a dangerous game of tug of war...because in the end, neither of us come out the winner."
Jade's characters reach out and pull you in with such fervor, you cannot help but love them and all of their flaws. Ricardo and Lou Lou are far from the typical hero and heroine that you commonly see in books, and that's what draws me to them so strongly. And when the two of them are together it is truly incredible to experience. Even now, after everything they've been through, their dynamic is just as explosive as ever, their connection just as strong, their passion just as fierce. Ricardo and Lou Lou have faced such tremendous atrocities in their lives, both separately and together, and as broken as they are, they are only complete when they are together.
"I'm still a broken puzzle—and he's the only piece that can put me back together again—all while tearing me apart."
I love how the author didn't just focus on one aspect of their relationship. All of the hurt, the joy, the humor, the pain- it was woven together to create the perfectly imperfect bond that existed between Ricardo and Lou Lou. They have faced an uphill battle from day one. So much hurt and sacrifice existed between them, and it was evident in each and every interaction they had. Jade did such a great job bringing everything to the surface in a way that was raw and real.
"I'm just a man that loves her...craves every single inch of her. And would kill anything in my path to protect her."
I honestly had no idea where Jade would take their story and how things would end. I loved that she stayed true to her characters and focused on their development both as individuals an as a couple. The end of these characters' journey was bittersweet for me. I have loved Lou Lou and Ricardo since book 1, and have only grown to love them more through their trials and experiences. The secondary characters were so well-written and lovable as well, a group of people who formed their own family bound together by love and loyalty. Jade delivered a truly special story that will stay with the reader long after they've finished reading. I hated saying goodbye to these amazing characters, but absolutely loved every minute of their story.
What an intense ride to the finish line. Ricardo and Lou-Lou, a broken pair of passionate, dark lovers. This series has been one helluva rollercoaster, more like a jump from a plane without a parachute. One thing is for certain, Ashley Jade knows how to embed her characters into your soul while trapping you into the setting.
This is a series and should be read in order. I'd classify this as Romantic Suspense. Darkly Passionate and unable to put down. There's a certain ache that fills your chest, yet you keeping digging deeper into the dark, looking for that speck of light. I had watery eyes and a death grip on my kindle. Evil brought these two together and devastation has torn them apart. They were doomed from the start. Yet, destined until the end. A end, I didn't know if I wanted to read. But I couldn't stop if you made me.
"Sometimes you don't realize how much you can miss someone, how much another soul can truly breathe life back into your own, until you're face to face and skin to skin with them again."
I don't want to go too much into detail. But, believe me when I say, you are going to close this book with a deep ache in your chest. What kind of ache? You'll find out. The series as a whole, well, it's been an amazing journey. Each character has left a lasting impression in some sort of way, and I couldn't love any of them more. I could go on and on with a whole novella review and fifty highlights to back the awesomeness. Just go read it.
If you love blood with your lust, you must read this series.
I knew this would be a great read as the series has proven to be consistently fantastic! What a way to end a series! Where do I begin? Blame it on the Shame 3 surpassed all my expectations!! Darker, grittier, raw and emotional, I'm still numb from this book hangover. Ricardo is back with a vengeance, and my girl LouLou gave as good as she got! Behind the intense cloak of darkness, the suspenseful excitement, and the nonstop drama, there's a passionate romance between 2 tortured souls! What happened between Ricardo and LouLou? I'll never tell, you'll have to read and find out!
Now that I have finished this series I will admit I am highly entertained by this authors writing. She brings to life characters that each in their own way are truly flawed, yet you can't help but feel for them. Our main female character is living in a hell that she can't see a way out and as the story continues she becomes stronger and then within a moments notice she is back to the scared little girl. Our male character is harden and violence seems to be all he know and yet when he meets his Lou- lou the harden man has a gentle side only she knows. Through all their twists and turn you really are not sure if these two will every truly be happy.
I'm too emotional and raw at this moment to review. Review will follow shortly...
*******Review**********
Shame 3 is an epic finale for an epic series! The series told their story. Shame 3 defined their destiny!
The human mind and spirit can only consume so much before completely breaking. Ricardo's break from reality and his actions as a result of that break are raw and scream "I'm in pain"! Jade nailed "Ricardo's point of no return". I've yet to find another story where the author has successfully captured and exposed this level of pain. Redemption? Of course! His redemption is Lou-Lou. What an emotional, jaw dropping ride, the two will endure before peace prevails! Their combined strength and determination are something to behold! One can only imagine how intense owning the heart of someone like Ricardo. Claiming and owning the type of love and commitment that transcend space and time *swoon* .
This is Ricardo and Lou-Lou's story. It's dark. It's raw. It's gritty. It's real. Consume with caution as it's dark. Their story is dark and beautiful. And it must be told as every emotional band-aid is ripped away to expose truth.
This was on heck of a roller coaster ride. Its dangerous, dark, dramatic, incredibly hot, and leaves you in a puddle of mush! I balled my eyes out! I literally cried big fat ugly tears. This is rare for me.
Both Lou-lou and Ricardo are by far my most favorite couple of the year. They will be missed, but will never be forgotten.
"This black thing in my chest belongs to you Lou-Lou
Im really relieved after finishing this book...It was really painful journey....... Ricardo and Lou-Lou's story were extra ordinary...... I can not even make to words...... I m exhausted...
with this book We meet Ricardo's bloodly side.. killer... He killed.. he turned in to real monster.. He took lifes without any doubt....... he sacrificed his good side for his heart....
There were people who have to paid their sins..... And this Guy Ricardo...... did it very well mybe a little more tourturous than adequate.......
and
I will not be same after these books...... I will not the same after Ricardo and Lucianne.. I will smile for hope.. After losing so much wont make me give up.... I will remember Ricardo and Lou-lou as real life heroes not as a fictional characters... I will their breaths and see their smiles......
Thanks Ashley Jade for this book and My friends Dilek and Tuğba being with me during this painful journey and feeling same emotions......
"Don't look for the colour in the dark ....because there is none"
Wow! Ricardo is consumed with love for Lou Lou, he's even darker in this book, Ricardo is one bad-ass Mafia boss and a character you can't help but love despite the evil that runs through his blood.
My name is Ricardo DeLuca. There are two things you need to know about me. The first is my heart will always bleed for her.... Only her. The second is that I'm the son of the devil himself, the most feared mob boss who ever lived.
That is until me.
Blame it on the shame is Ricardo DeLuca and Lou Lou's story and previous books although these are different main characters it is recommended that book 1 & 2 to be read prior to this.
Lou Lou I'm pretty sure the dynamic of our relationship must be the eight wonder of the world, because even when we hate one another.....there's still no-one else that I want more.
Ricardo and Lou Lou have a relationship that is toxic, they are so wrong but so right, its bitter then it's sweet but sometimes it turns down right nasty.
Two very fiery, passionate characters.
I loved part one and two but book three with Ricardo and Lou Lou was on a hole new darker level, I loved it. The angst, the danger, the passion, the grit, the unpredictability, the pain, the love.
Blame it on the shame was all that, it and it contained everything that has me on the edge, eagerly turning the pages.
Brilliant conclusion and I am definitely looking forward to more from Ashley Jade.
Ricardo: I'm just a man who loves her....craves every single inch of her and I would kill anything in my path to protect her but a hero? that's one thing I'm not..
Bruno DeLuca once told me that damaged people were the most dangerous, because they're survivors. But he was dead wrong... Broken people are the most dangerous... because they just don't give a fuck. remember this line from book 2? It's so fitting in book 3 Befitting and hopeful end to a volatile thrilling story. Ashley drove this roller coaster from start to finish with loop de loops and twists and corkscrews and upside down turns. Just when you thought you had it all figured out, there came another shocker. Ricardo DeLuca is now the new Capo with a killer streak. He doesn't tolerate insubordination or any laxity . People who fail to do the job get muzzled by his gun. Simple as that ! He has no qualms about shedding blood to make an example out of or to instill complete obedience in his ranks. He's off his rockers I think. All the travesty he has gone through with Brad, Lou-Lou, Jackson, Tyrone in books 1 & 2 as made him unhinged and unpredictable. for the first time... I think I understand why the DeLuca's end up the way they do. We weren't born evil... we become it. We're turned into these made men by the DeLuca Mafia. We're created the second we realize that we can't save the people we care about... so we might as well kill them. Because no matter which way you look at it... the people we love are fucked. There's only one way out of this life for them. Blood only goes out...never in. But his travails are nowhere near the end. In fact they're just beginning. Nobody likes a monkey on their backs and he has 3. Council is threatening as ever Lou-Lou is devilish as ever His enemy #1 is as venomous as ever. Who do you ask.....read the book to find out. There's Momma as entertaining as ever. I like how Ashley has embraced the dark and twisted and has broken her glass ceiling Momma is funny as hell and keeps him in line “Please be careful.” I fight the urge to roll my eyes... this is exactly why members of the mafia don't take their mothers with them when they're out conducting business. Lou-Lou has nightmares. Who won't after the ending in book 2, she's haunted and scared and traumatised. Just when she thought she could breathe easy a whole new mountain of troubles descends on her in a new avalanche of violence and bloodshed. I was happy how things ended and really wish Ashley all the best :)
I'm not even sure I can form coherent sentences right now - this entire series was explosive... incendiary.....provocative.... beyond the realm of ALL things you'd expect.
If you need a trigger warning, just stop reading this and close your browser window now.
On the other hand, if you want to read the wildest, most insane story that will ever grace your eyeballs... READ THESE BOOKS. They start with "Blame It on the Pain"
Edge of your seat, heart pounding, out of this world twisty, turny, angsy, balls to the wall.... it's a STORY of epic proportions!
“The man who set me free...is now holding me captive.”
Finally we Jade goes reeeally dark!!!! Ricardo is just as bad or possibly worse than his father, and wait til you read about Dwayne!!!!! That aspect of the book was phenomenal, but once again the repetition was very, very, very annoying. And worse was LouLou’s ongoing negative feelings towards Ricardo that I didn’t feel were at all justified. By the end of this book, I was extremely ready for this series to be over.
What a freaking rollercoaster! I almost want to claim this one as my favorite out of the entire series. I was scared to keep reading and just as scared to stop. Ashley Jade does not disappoint once again! Ricardo has landed on the dark side. There's only one person who can shine some light on that man and she's determined to do just that!
"I'll keep shining the light so you can see and find your way back to me. But you don't get to leave...not without me going with you. So choose our destination. Either you're staying here with me, or I'm following you straight into hell.”
OMG Ashley Jade has written an outstanding series one I will never forgot and the final Part #3 knocked me sideways 5 Massive Stars from me.
My review is not going to go into details about the character's because to get to this stage you will be aware of the back story and who is who.
Blame is on the Shame Part 3 ~ The Sex is scorching, The Violence is brutal no holding back, The one liners will have you crying with laughter, The sorrow will leave you heart broken. The drama and twists will have your head spinning, The storyline will leave you more than satisfied and makes me want to re-read all over again.

I'm a lover of psychology, romance, erotica, dark romance, dark erotica, and anything thought provoking...except for math. I've always read books growing up, and after having a strange dream one night; I decided to just go for it and publish my first series. Little did I know, I would end up falling head over heels in love with writing. If I'm not researching, paying off student loan debt, or writing a novel- you can usually find me watching my favorite series on Netflix, stealing my man’s t-shirts, or pondering the meaning of life. I value and appreciate all my fans reviews, thoughts, and discussions, as well as their time. Each and every single one of you are important to me. Thanks for believing in me and giving me a shot. It has meant more to me than you'll ever know.
First let me say I read this book because I could not have survived without it. I needed this story like I needed air. The final installment of the Blame It On The Shame series, just thinking that makes me tear up, was absolutely everything I imagined it would be and so much more. Ashley Jade has captivated me with her writing since the day I opened the first book I read by her. I've never second guessed that decision and never will. Ricardo and LouLou needed this book to let all their readers know how their story played out. And oh my, the story had me laughing, crying and wanting to throw my kindle all at the same time. In typical Ashley Jade fashion, she destroyed my heart only to put it back together and again and then throw me for yet another loop. The phrase I use often when describing how Ashley's books play with my emotions is "she does the tango on my heart" and this time was no different. I beg, I urge you to take a chance on this author. Once you pick up that first book by Ashley you will never be the same. It doesn't just affect your reading, her books will touch your life and make you feel things you never thought a book could.
"My dark, broken savior who fell in love with a wicked, broken bird and saw her for what she really was."
Oh Ricardo and Lou-Lou....how I will miss these two. The Author couldn't have given us a better conclusion to the wild, dirty, mind-bending Mafia Romance that is Blame It On The Shame. My chest hurt in some places, spit out my drink in others, and this couple never fails to take the line of sexy-dirty and jump rope with it. The demons were out in full force, examining and fighting through these two characters, their losses, their tragedies, and.....triumphs. I will never forget this story, tell everyone they need to read it, and long for a book to drag me through this many emotions in one sitting as this series did. I thank the Author for allowing me to take part in this, truly one of my favorite series!!
"I know the heart inside this monster. Because that heart is mine...and it beats for me and me only. Every part of it. The good and the bad.
This book was absolutely amazing, I loved every moment of it.
You will feel every sort of emotion in this book, you’ll be happy, sad, angry and want to cry. This book is a lot on the darker themes with violence, death, murder, torture.
So much happens in this book this book, I don’t want to spoil. It’s a journey for Lou Lou and Ricardo to make it back to each other but they are made for each either. She was made to shine and he is a part of the dark side now. When they finally reunite it’s powerful, not easy but they get there. There love overshines all the bad that’s happens.
This book starts off where book 2 finished, Lou Lou is free and starting her new life without Ricardo. News arise and lou Lou is in danger. Will Ricardo be able to find her before danger strikes?
Ricardo will do everything in his power to keep her safe. Even if that means not being together?
Ricardo misses her and she misses him. As much as she tells herself she hates him, the love she has overpowers that hate.
You can’t help but feel the personal torment, pain and loss that Lou- Lou has been through. It’s like you feel her pain in this book with her. This significant loss doesn’t just effect Lou Lou but Ricardo as well. They are both coming to terms with their losses.
It’s a battle to fight for their love, but either won’t give up each other. You will see the lengths they go to. Such an amazing book full of so much drama and so much More.
If you haven’t read this series yet, then I suggest you do because it’s incredible.

This is the conclusion to this amazing series about Ricardo & Lou-Lou…
It starts where book 2 left us. Lou Lou has gone and Ricardo is now looking for her can he find her before danger strikes. Well you will have to read to find out.
Ricardo will do anything to keep Lou Lou safe even if that means he can’t be with her?
Lou Lou is just trying hard to get on with her life without Ric but she misses him. As much as she tries to get over him her heart will not let her.
I Loved all the Characters in this book well apart from a certain pair, who I hated. Some really good twists in this book, I really didn’t see coming.
Loved the Banter with them all. I laughed out loud at some parts…
I really enjoyed the ending to this series and my questions where all answered.
This series has been fantastic! And I can’t wait to see what Ashley brings us next.
Atleast the third book was worth the wait!!! It was worth the time and efforts I spent reading the first two books of this series. I really liked this third book of the series.♥️
What a fantastic end to what has been one hell of a rollercoaster coaster of a journey! One thing that has been persistent throughout it all has been the amazing way in which it was written. I was drawn in from book 1 and couldn't put ANY of the books down. This one tied up the loose ends perfectly and was just AMAZING! Loved it!!
This will be an Iconic read in a few years. It just has to if there is any justice in the world.
Lou Lou and Ricardo have been through so much, and it isn’t about to stop yet with the re-emergence of Lou-Lou’s stepfather. The vile man that abused her as a child before leaving her little choice but to flee with the devil himself, Bruno De Luca.
Bruno is dead, and there is a new De Luca in charge, his reluctant son, Ricardo. All Ricardo wants to do is make sure that his friends and the woman he loves are safe. The De Luca council, however, binds him.
Tough choices need to be made; deceptions need to be put in place and lives need to be changed forever.
Blame it on the Shame Part III continues the action and emotionally packed series by Ashley Jade. Ashley is a fabulous writer who does not fear to shy away from tough hitting topics. She handles them sensibly and with great skill in her writing. The book is extremely well written and is an incredible rollercoaster that draws the reader in and leaves them wanting to know everything. All the characters are so well written I could feel them coming off the page at me. Ricardo should be a villain, but he is a hero who captured my heart and soul. Lou Lou should be broken and destroyed, but she is the strength of the whole novel for me.
I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole. You will not be disappointed.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I asked for a ride and a ride I went on, Ashley Jade delivered on this final book in the Blame it on the Shame Series!! God Bless the love of Corn <3
Picking up right where we left off in Blame it on the Shame Part 2, Ricardo is now the leader and Lou-Lou is trying to start her new life away from it all. While attempting to start her new life, Lou-Lou is struggling to find her spot in this big, big world. Working and going back to school to finally get her high school diploma.
“I love how responsive she is to me, I love that even when she pretends to fight it, she can’t. She’s as helpless to me as I am to her. And no matter which way the pendulum between us swings, that’s something that will never change.”
Ricardo, is trying to move on also but gets news that he never wanted to hear. This news has changed the plan of being separated from Lou-Lou. Now even more than ever, he needs to find her and will stop at nothing to figure out where she has moved to.
“I feel so whole when we connect like this, when we’re both stripped down raw to the bone. When we show each other our scars and put our demons on display.”
With the twists and turns in this story, it’s very hard to understand completely who it is that you can trust. Who it is that you can believe will help you. Who will stand behind you even though your last name is DeLuca. Even though the one you love is out there somewhere, it’s the monsters who appear that make you second guess your every move.
What a page turning book that ended this series, just the way it needed to end!!!
