It certainly had much laziness when it comes to write this review, because it is one of the toughest criticisms that I'll write. I have so many things to say, and so little space, because unlike in "A Column of fire" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... do not want to apply a barbiturate via visual or kill boredom who read it. In the office of the historian, although is subjective one has to strive to be as impartial as possible, and in this case must demonstrate and trying to convince users of Goodreads, because Jorge Sáez Criado has written the best novel I've read in years , and should convince them that while he falls sympathetic, because we have common interests (However it would be unjust and reckless to call him friend, because never saved the network, we have never maintained contact, and we've never seen, so the word friend that so easily used is unfair). However, I feel a great philia, and sympathy for him. Yet allow the user of Goodreads, that is not so, and imagine, that I am their enemy, and I hate it, yet would have to recognize that Jorge Saez Criado has written a masterpiece. A book that not only will be a classic in the Parusistic-dystopian novel category, because that is the reign of the Antichrist. It is the final dystopia, or the latest nightmare, that will confront mankind. Let's go by parts, if I had read this novel in 2017 would have exceeded the last year winner the English Catholic novelist Georgiana Fullerton, and its beautiful romantic novel "Too strange not to be truth" on a hypothetical romance between Catherine of Brunswick, and a French nobleman in French america, and under the auspices of the Jesuit missions in United States https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... although I got this wonderful novel " Revelation the Lord's day" last year, thanks to my Soraya, and Maria Jose bookstores (which runs the best bookshop of Valladolid the tree of letters). I chose to relegate this reading to the year 2018, because I thought that it would difficult to gain a foothold in demanding last year. I was wrong, and underestimated my friend. Nor had it easy this year, because before 'Apocalypse the Lord's day " had read the wonderful novel by my friend Manuel Alfonseca"operation Quatuor " https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... I recommend to lovers of science fiction, especially for the readers of Philip K. Dick, and those, wonder if robots can be like us. A reading that is very convenient, because there is now an attempt to robotize society, and apparently the machines threaten to take away 30% of our jobs, that could unleash a wave of Luddite. Although I am chestertonian I think that you must not fall into barbarism. He didn't have it easy, but Jorge Saez Criado exceeded to the novel of his colleague (both promised them, that his novels would be the first to be read and quite possibly find me before the two best novels of the year). Not only that, but that I think that Jorge Saez Criado has written the best novel I've read in many years. Did not have it easy, because there were several writers, who wrote the same think in the predecessor would say Charles Ryder in " Brideshead Revisited" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... "the Lord of “ the Lord of World' Robert Hugh Benson, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... , was perhaps the first major novel dystopian-parusistic where was the rise of the anti-christ. Before theologians had been wet, and talked about, but had never expressed it in a novel. It is a breathtaking novel, which is becoming a reality in our days. I nowadays consider it to be the best dystopia, that has been written with permission of "the brave new world" by Aldous Huxley, "the seed of wish" by Anthony Burgess, "1985" also Anthony Burgess. To those interested dystopias theme discussed at length at a lectures organized by the Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid on 26-28 February. However, "the Lord of the world" was the pioneer, but then it had brilliant followers, perhaps not so good but we should speak of the Argentine fiction both of "666" of Hugo Wast https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... ? ac = 1 & from_search = true or "Papers of Benjamín Benavides" of the Jesuit Leonardo Castellani, that not only tried it in novels, also in theological essays, in fact at present one of the main supporters of Leonardo Castellani is the Spanish writer Juan Manuel de Prada https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... & from_search = true https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... However the great master, and Jorge Sáez Criado model has been the brilliant Canadian writer Michael D. O´Brien and his "father Elijah: an Apocalypse", and his sequel "Elijah in Jerusalem" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...https://www.goodreads.com/series/6765...https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... In fact, during my review will be many parallels between the work of Michael D. O´Brien and writer Jorge Saez Criado. Would have any more than sign as "Comet Dust" of the writer C.D. Verhoff https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... (although in this case there is no Antichrist, if described the end of the world, and) the final judgment), is also the novel from Manuel Alfonseca "the lost continent" belonging to the cycle of the magic puzzle https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...https://www.goodreads.com/series/1836... https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... One of the novels of science fiction, which inspired Manuel Alfonseca "The Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter M. Miller Jr. should not forget https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1.... Jorge Saez Criado has overcome them, may not have the prophetic genius, nor Robert Hugh Benson anticipatory capacity, even if better than he writes. It is true that Michael D. O'Brien win you when you enter, because Michael D. O'Brien is the stylist and a master of the word, but my friend has an advantage,he is European, and when speaking of the European Union does it with more authority, he, also in contrast to Michael D. O'Brien not him gets out of control the account at any time (being objective Michael D. O'Brien can't finish their stories), and does not fall into the histrionismo. Thinking such as for example in the scene in which Vettore slaps to the Pope, or mysticism, when brother Enoch. Michael D. Fort O'Brien are its subplots, and its characters, but to the end (being a genius) is it blurs, as in "Elijah in Jerusalem" yet recommend the wonderful prologue, which speaks of the Antichrist (I'm still eager to read "Teophilos" " and") " Voyage to Alpha Centauri" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7...https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... (by the way remember my challenge launched here asking him to write a fantasy in the style of the Tolkien). Jorge Sáez Criado history starts a few years after this novel prequel "crying blood" https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... where is continuing the Adventures of the unforgettable character father Münker (a priest who is destined to become one of the best priests of fiction). We are witnessing the death of a friend nun, who prophesied the coming of the anti-christ, and one thing that I as historian have observed the acceleration of history in recent years. There have been too many events, and changes, and very little time to digest them. We also see as a character, which was not attached to Münker to Scotland, but that was very present in his life Nowak makes a spectacular appearance, and becomes the co-star of the history. Nowak is a being exceptional, because of their stigma, and can do things, which is only available to a few Mystics. In addition, it is a character, who has chosen to develop their apostolate in white, and cathartics Russian steppes. Recalling the Eastern spiritualism of an Dostoevsky, Soloiev, or if you press me a Solzhenitshin. Same as the Elijah of Michael D. O'Brien are called to the Vatican, because visions them false, and true they multiply. At the same time a political, ambitious and unscrupulous, seems to become the Savior of Europe, and the West. Finally and after as Jorge Saez said is < servant is European, and beautifully referred to the old continent. The apparent miracle, made by Lazzaro Gobbi (is perhaps one of the few things that I don't agree with Jorge Saez Criado that show us the origin and give name to the anti-christ. It is true that Robert Hugh Benson does, but I think that Michael D. O'Brien was most successful, calling him the politician. I think it was a mistake that gave you a nationality, as it does in "Elijah in Jerusalem"). However, never tarnish his wonderful novel, may be other fault show their evil and selfish nature from the beginning. I am more in agreement with the making of the character, that made Robert Hugh Benson's Julian Felsenburgh in which the villain shows his evil in the end. Jorge Saez Criado prefers to call things by their name, and show it as it is a true demon form. The worst is not cruelty, but his selfishness. Filled with horror what connection, which keeps with the demon, which makes it even more monstrous. He is a man Gobbi a such vesania, who does not hesitate to try to kill his wife, or a child who has inside. The problem is that in today's world there are many people, resembling Gobbi, I think of politicians (not gonna say no names to not shock the virtue), but it is not surprising that there are people, who not is sat where they come. Everyone speaks well of them, and receives praise from the television, media, press, feel a phobia by the West, and a hatred of Christianity, while for establishment of progressivism, and relativism, which flatters all religions , and less to our cultures. As you want to the new world order. It's funny, and that is what scared me in the novel of Jorge Saez Criado. We have a lot of ideologies, seemingly opposite each other, but if you escarbamos them. We realize, that all have something in common and the hatred for Christianity. In everything that can do damage to Christianity are all agree (liberalism, the Christian Democrats, the extreme right, extreme left, socialism, communism, and add all the ISMS that want to.) Hence my distrust by the policy, and the current media). G. K. Chesterton, I think, a character who has been the model for today's politicians and is Lord Ivywood, who is interested in this curious character we recommend the very current "the flying Inn", https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... where Chesterton taking advantage of the phobia of the progressivism alcohol wrote a novel bright and intelligent, parodied where currents, that are now in vogue . You could almost say, that was written yesterday, but let's talk about the Lord of the world emerged from the pen of Jorge Saez Criado. Jorge not tells us the origin of the character. I comment with much sarcasm and sense of humor, the birth of the anti-christ the novel has “Rosemary's Baby” by Ira Levin https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... which tells of the birth of the Antichrist one anti virgin (as Emmanuelle J), however, may not born in 1966 as he prophesied Ira Levin (thanks to God, imposed the criterion of the mother, and at the end called it Andrew J). Uplifting children of the anti-christ, although Karl Marx theorized with her in “Oulanem” is counted in "The omen" by David Seltzer https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... . However, to me Jorge Sáez Criado hits fully lacking children of the Antichrist. Whose figure is an enigma. For example Manuel Alfonseca and I discussed, whether it will be a person or an ideology (I I leaned by the first thing). Also discussed, that kind of Government will set up if it is an attempt to deify man, repeating the first temptation ye shall be as gods. Or it will be the establishment of a satanic Cult. To me, impressed me very much a novel, I read two years ago starring one of my favorite detectives Gideon Fell (could be because it is inspired by Chesty? Only God knows it.) This novel was called or "Below suspicion" by John Dickson Carr https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... and spoke of the crimes perpetrated in a Satanic society. We should not laugh in this topic, and more after murders like Sharon Tate. Massimo Introvigne/Rino Camelleri and New York Police hold enm the future more than half of the crimes to have Satanic undertones. At the end, and after there is where bring us utopias. The book to which I am referring is called "monsters of the reason" I mostri della Razioni https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... Jorge Saez Criado, seems in fact inclined by the two theories. Here the symbol of the devil, there is perhaps inspired by the thesis of Michael D. O'Brien, who argued that the dragon was a demonic symbol, and that any work of fiction, which well put the Dragon would be Satanic, or inadvisable. The novel has great characters I think of Bianca, This character I think, is very inspired by one that comes out in "the father Elijah: an Apocalypse". Although in this case it was the spouse of a politician, killed by the anti-christ, because opposed you. The scene of Nowak in his bed is priceless, as well as the conversion of this character. At the end, and after it is of his time which abounds with agnosticism, and the anti-clerical indefferentism. The passages of Münker, and Nowak in Israel are also very good (all novels have just been in the Holy Land). In fact to me the bodyguard Itzhak I like more, than the timid Lev (friend of Elijah) of "Elijah in Jerusalem". The unstoppable rise of the Antichrist is also fascinating, and his cruelty is fulfilled what he said the father Fortea, which emerge the Antichrist would be very similar to Hitler. You do very similar things, as Voldemort is as cruel with his friends, as his enemies. Here is also stressed, something in which I firmly believe the reconciliation between Jews and Catholics (Castellani held him in “the Apokalipsys of Saint John" which argued that the Virgin, who confronts the dragon was not the Virgin Mary, but the union of) Catholics and Jews). It is also moving to see how after the cruel fate of Catholics were just the differences among Christians, and are reattached. The Pope is the same as that of Benson, and Michael D. O'Brien. Admittedly, Jorge Saez Criado describes torture in a very beautiful way, almost reminds me of Shusaku Endo. Also the battles, and the supernatural disasters are wonderfully well described. My friend told me jokingly, that he wanted to write a novel that will destroy the world. I told him even more in jest that a Roland Emerich was made. We are almost reaching the end, I can only say, that it is a magnificent novel, which is among the best that high, and is perfectly finished. That, although it is a work of Catholic fiction around the world can enjoy it. If you don't like religion, enjoy this great Thriller, or novel of catastrophes that agnostics, and Catholics not anti-clerical practitioners should feel uncomfortable reading it. History, not just wrong, because as I would say Juan Manuel de Prada the apocalypse is not something threatening, but a reason for hope, for those who believe, because despite Gobbi good victory is final. I can say Jorge Saez Criado but that the white Blackbird (It is how is called to the writer with a big talent, and he promises a lot), as I called him as a result of the great novel of Juan Manuel de Prada "white Blackbird, Black Swan" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... has become just like the Andersen ugly duckling into a Swan. One of my fears, while Jorge Sáez Criado has projects very interesting. I don't know if you can write something better than this. Finally the day is impossible to find a more powerful story than this, and with one argument, which will be the vsmos to live. I doubt that you get something better. But if God permits I will continue reading their works with great interest, because it still has much to contribute. I was saddened that the publishers have not trusted him, and prefer books that attack your country, novels pseudo Gnostics that look like outputs from the imagination of the new world order, with a cupcake, which seems that it still has seven demons. Pseudo-masochist novels, novels of the boom Scandinavian dreary, featuring hysterical, anorexic tendencies psychotics, soporific South American magical realism, sadomasochistic but not very hurtful books will not get mad staff or politically correct leaders biographies. I saddened that the shadow of may 68, and its secularism is so long, and there are no gaps, to writers of truth (anyone who wants to know something of the kind of literature that I described before that read the first chapters of " White Blackbird Black Swan"). However to me gives me same Jorge Saez servant has written a novel that will never forget, and be forever in my heart. Also, Proust is self published "lost time" and is the author, who is today. Like I did on Twitter challenged anyone who wants to read this novel, and show me I'm wrong. Whoever accepts, that enjoy it like I did.
Fortea (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...).
