Who doesn’t love sexy and secretive office romances? I sure do, I love hot, sexy men and independent, sassy heroines and that is something this story has in spades. Cameron Turner meets her friend at a bar except her friend never showed. She ends up talking to this sexy guy at the bar named Smith. He was tall , packed full of muscle and had to be at least six foot five. He buys her a drink and they talk and omg, his accent..I love men who has that British accent which our man Smith did. One thing leads to another and they wind up at her place for the best one night stand and he was gone before she woke up the next morning. Cam gets up and prepares for her undercover job at Calloway Corp where she will begin to dig for the fact about the possibility that money was being stolen from them. She’s not prepared for the huge surprise that is just waiting to smack her in the face when she gets there --that she is to be the personal assistant to the young Mr. Calloway, and he turns out to be her “Smith” , her hot and passionate one night stand. Yay!! Now let the fun begin.

Only small , minor issue was I would has liked an epilogue on how the story ended and how everyone ended up/how everyone was doing-other than that, loved this book a lot.

Stunning red-headed Cameron Parker meets Smith at a bar of a punk club where their heated attraction has her taking a chance with the charismatic stranger; they have a sizzling memorable encounter and then he is gone. The two find themselves in quite the situation when Cameron is hired as his personal assistant. Cameron is there undercover to find out who is embezzling money from the company. Smith’s concentration falters around Cameron remembering their evening together, while Cameron remembers she works diligently at her job trying to keep things between them professional.
A powerful fast paced intoxicating read that lures you in with vivid scene descriptions, engaging banter and the intriguing plot. The fusion of reality and fantasy make this a most exhilarating story. The back story of each character is touching and how they overcome the memories gives insight to their persona’s. Smith and Cameron’s romance definitely had its low points, but finding each other shows that they were meant to be. The author does a fabulous job showing that keeping secrets from the one you truly care about is definitely a bad idea. A most entertaining read which I enjoyed. If you treasure bad boy romance this is a terrific book for your library. {I voluntary reviewed of an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

Covet is the latest book by Vivian Wood and I absolutely loved it. Another well-written story that I couldn’t help but be completely drawn into. Not your typical romance story; Covet is full of intrigue, deception, drama and a few unexpected twists and turns .. Add in all of the super sexy hotness that is Cam and Smith together and you have one fantastic read!!
Vivian Wood never lets her readers down! I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

It was supposed to be a one night stand but you never know what will happen. She is due to go under cover as a secrety for a very busy buisness for a newspaper to see if there is money disapearing. but what happens when tall dark and handsome ends up being her new boss. The only think i'll tell you is she opens up a can of worms. This is a HEA and a standalone. I love this author and she didn't dissapoint.

I loved this book. Cam was in a punk club waiting for her friend. She meets a man at the bar & ends up taking him home. He's gone in the morning but little does she know that she will be seeing him again. I love this author. She never disappoints. Well written & the extra bonus material is great. Thanks.

This was tucked in as an extra with another book I was reading and I was not disappointed. I'm surprised it was included as it certainly holds its own and was a great read. The characters had depth and I really enjoyed the storyline.

Covet written by Vivian Wood is a novel that follows the lives of a reluctant heir and a woman trying to make a name for herself as an investigative reporter.
Smith grew up privileged, the son of a successful business man but he wants nothing to do with that life and follows his own path into the military. When his father tells him that’s he ready to retire Smith puts his own wants aside to take the business over but soon discovers that money has gone missing and instead of being able to focus all his attention on finding the thief he’s preoccupied with the woman who was only supposed to be a one night stand and now she’s his assistant.
Cam has worked hard for everything she has, a child raised in the foster care system she learned early that you can only count on you. So when the editor of the paper she works for asks to go under cover at Calloway Corp she’s more than happy to take the assignment and get her first byline. There’s one problem she fell for the boss.
This novel features a heroine that is likable and relatable and a hero to die for. The plot was straight forward and moved along nicely. The chemistry between the main charters was well written and heartwarming.

Another good read by Ms Wood.
This is a fast paced story about Cameron, a reporter who goes undercover as an executive assistant at the Calloway Corporation to follow up on rumours of missing funds. Cameron finds out she will be working with Smith Calloway, the son and heir of the owner. This is great for her story but when she turns up for work Smith is the man she just spent a one night stand with.
Smith hates how his father treats female employees so he treats them hard to keep feelings out of it. Finding his new PA is the girl from the previous night throws him for a loop.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and all the emotions that came out but I do hate deceitful people so therefore found it hard to warm to Cameron.
Smith was lovely and took being betrayed hard.
This is my honest review of this book.

La idea de trabajar en cubierto para averiguar lo que se trama en la empresa del chico con el cual pasaste una noche inolvidable... fue lo que me atrajo para leer esta historia. Tenía curiosidad y me pareció interesante, pero luego la trama se va volviendo algo tediosa por la negativa de los protagonista de "te quiero, pero no podemos... una probada no hará daño, pero será la última y realmente no lo es" -_-
La historia se va complicando a medida que avanza, pero tuve la impresión que no explotaban bien algunas situaciones y llegó un momento en el que apresuraron las cosas para dar un finiquito a la trama cuando las cosas habían ido con muuuucha calma.
Me decepcionó el final porque fue abierto y con varias cosas sin concluir, pero es una historia que entretiene si eso es lo que se busca.
La historia se va complicando a medida que avanza, pero tuve la impresión que no explotaban bien algunas situaciones y llegó un momento en el que apresuraron las cosas para dar un finiquito a la trama cuando las cosas habían ido con muuuucha calma.

La historia no es mala, simplemente se me hizo bastante lenta la lectura.
Para mi, los libros de romance no deberían ser contados en tercera persona, ya que si se supone que estoy tratando de entender los sentimientos del personaje tengo que verlo directamente de los ojos del personaje, no de un narrador que observé la historia.
En tanto a la historia, el romance entre Cam y Smith es uno que si he leído en distintas ocasiones, pero no me desagrado. Su historia está bien contada y el conflicto principal tiene continuidad a lo largo de la trama, sin embargo, el clímax me dejó deseando más y me dejó con gusto a poco.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. What started as a one night stand turned into a tale of so much more. We had fraud, lies, deceit, intrigue and love. The chemistry between Cam and Smith was well written. I found Smith's dad's part a little confusing and simplified. What happened to him?
The British accent grated on me if I'm honest. It was inconsistent and had tones of cockney - not something you would hear from " his voice was cultured, polished, as if he'd just stepped out of Parliament"

This story didn't work for me in several ways even though the premise - undercover reporter gets to assignment as asst to a CEO only to find he's last night's one night stand - is right up my alley. Cam and Smith were too hot and cold; she says they are keeping it professional and the next scene he's taking her BASE jumping with his friends. Don't even get me started on how you can't just go BASE jumping without any training. The story had potential; it just wasn't quite there to get the feels.

I just got done reading the book called Covert (Kindle Edition) by the author Vivian Wood . This was a really easy book to read it felt like I was right there in the story once I start to read the book I just couldn't put it down . Holy cliffhangers Vivian!!! I wanted Tony dead from the first book, and I hate him even more now. He's so frickin' twisted. How Fiore keeps falling for Tony's crap is beyond me. I'd have no loyalties left in respect to him. Arsen is a tad sadistic with that "special box". Geeze! I keep hoping for more humanity in Arsen, but I'm still addicted to him. Dang. My mind is going in all directions at once and getting no where. I'm amazed and flabbergasted at the same time! What next!!??

The sizzling chemistry between Smith and Cameron was HOT!!! The storyline was great and the sex scenes were on fire! This was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ must read! This was my first book by Wood however it will not be my last!
