I didn’t want to write a review but I guess I do, I would’ve liked it better if Katie died giving birth, sadly that did not happen.

It went well in the first half but everything changed when she got pregnant at the second half. It's like the couple had baby brains all of a sudden. Although the ending was happy, I was not happy with the progression 😑.

This was yet another good short read. I read this in two hours and I liked it. It helped me pass the time. The story centers around Count Giovanni, a billionaire and only living heir to the estate. You find out towards the end that the reason for his reluctance to open himself up is because of the many women paraded in front of him only because of his title and what comes with it. He was married once and the woman only wanted to be with him because of what she could get. She was anorexic and only cared about the latest fashion. When she became pregnant she realized she'd be entitled to more so she tried to have the baby, but because of her issues with weight she died and give birth to a still born.

The baggage Giovanni carried was so much that he couldn't let himself love or be loved by Katie. She tries so hard and still he tries to see an ulterior motive.

So what will the brooding, aristocratic billionaire do when he finds out Katie is carrying his heir? Can her love be enough.....

This is marginally better than the previous Harlequin stories I've been reading. It's an average light read, with the perspective mostly one-sided (Katie's) and her character occupies 80% of the book with no room for development. I didn't feel any spark or connection between her and Giovanni.

I liked the part where the characters' thoughts aren't most of the time occupied by lust. The author wrote the scenes properly and gave time for the characters to know one another, be together, and create that magic moment.

Giovanni was described as someone stoned because of what happened and he projects himself the way people want to see him. It's no surprise for Katie to be the one who falls for him, and falls hard at that. Katie's an independent woman, strong, willful, and charming too.

This is the type of book to read when you just want to pass the time. Not much sexual tension going on, but it's ok nonetheless.

i've already read some book with the same plot like this..

interior designerer and the signor fell in love..

the leads was been in to marriage since they expect a baby..
the deal was they will be married if the baby was a BOY, but tat the end the baby was a Girl but still they make their relationship works..

Good novel, the count was a bit to overbearing for me but given the circumstance of his life, it was pretty acceptable.

Boring. For the first 2/3 of the book nothing happens. Then they have sex. She gets pregnant and becomes all doormatt-y. Usually the h at least gives a token resistance.
