Perfect overview and beginning research for those interested in American Indian history. If you want to understand dynamics of American Indian communities you need to begin here. Blackwell Companion books have always been a nerdy thrill of mine, but this one is amazing.

Varied literature review on topics relating to the histories of indigenous peoples in North America (present day United States, Canada, and some discussion of Mexico). A good springboard for future research.
