Stated on back cover " Instructor's Desk Copy". A hint of wear. There may be writing marks but we have NOT seen any. Pages are clean and binding is tight.

Material in this textbook is presented in an order that I believe to be conducive for undergraduate education; however, Jones' spends an excessive amount of time proposing alternative theories and then explains how they're invalid or false. I find this to detract from the material students need to learn, and dilute the overall topics they retain from each section. Also worth noting, the introduction of many functional groups and reactions contains considerable molecular orbital theory, which may be extraneous depending on the courses' objective or demographic. For example, a class primarily consisting of pre-medical students will find this topic unnecessary

One of the many textbooks I was required to read in college, and I found this one to be understandable and not too dense for the learner.
