This is my first book by Aubrey Parr and I really liked it!

The story is about Kate and Dominic (Nicky) and their instant bond. The whole plot is sweet and well written and I liked how the author show us not only the hero and heroine's thoughts, but she shows us the secondary characters' thoughts as well, and that way we could see a more ample and vast view of the whole scene and everyone's feelings.

Speaking of feelings, one thing that came close to bother me a little is how the feelings were developing and growing and changing so fast. Sometimes I had some issue following them because it wasnt convincing me totally at that moment, although I could feel it later as the story kept going.

It was sweet and I had a great time reading it! This book was a good surprise to me!

What I liked/Didn’t Like: Aubrey Parr does an excellent job of pulling you into her story straight from the beginning and keeping you there right until the end. Sweet, sassy and sexy all describe this contemporary romance. I loved that you got to check in with characters from te first book in this series as well.

He was unpredictably sweet and insane and knocked off his feet by her. She kept saying it was just a weekend thing. This author gives us the story of two people not looking for or expecting love but totally overtaken by it while also terrified. It's a great story with some intrigue and action as well and hey now don't forget the passion. This is one of those insta-love but we gotta work to make it happen type of reads which always hold my attention better than the insta-love all is perfect type of read.

I am loving this author and enjoying traveling back in time to read her earlier works. Her characters are sexy, funny, all American type of guys that we all dream of a chance to meet, sassy and independent women who are very secure in who they are. These type of characters make her books even more appealing.

I was really waiting to read this one because love on the malecon and the love interest of Kate surprised me. The first time I read Dominic name I just go back and read the excerpt which I didn't before just because the first book like I already say was dope. Aubrey Parr did a great job writing the love story of Kate and Dominic. They are perfect for each other, they complete each other's and especially Dominic. I love the fact that Aubrey Parr built a man that his woman crown doesn't impress.

I willingly reviewed this for Quill and Ink

This is the second book in the Love on... series and while I don't believe it is entirely necessary to read the first book, I would highly recommend that you do, so that you have reference for some information about Kate's friends.

Kate is off for a weekend with her best friends, Nicole and Derek, in South Beach. While getting a tattoo, she meets Dominic and they are instantly attracted to each other. Dominic knows that Kate is the one that he has been waiting for, while Kate is hoping it is just a weekend fling.

Kate returns home after a whirlwind weekend together. After a few weeks Dominic can't take it anymore and flies out to surprise Kate. After some talking they fly back to South Beach for another week together. They both admit that they love each other even with Dominic's mother trying to get him to date someone else just to expand their family's ownership of the Port of Miami.

Trouble ensues due to his family's stake in the Port and Dominic puts his life in danger to save Kate.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters. I love how Aubrey Parr writes mature characters that can admit to their faults and admit their feelings. Dominic and Kate try hard to make sure there is no misunderstandings or miscommunication between them.

I would highly recommend this book.

MY THOUGHTS

Okay so it is kind of easy to tell from the synopsis that this would be a kind of "insta-love" type book and to be fair the last one I read was a bit over dramatic for my liking so although I was hyped to read this I was not sure how it was going to go.

Within the first few chapters my suspicions had been confirmed, however, Love on ocean Drive had a totally different feel to me than A Chance at Forever. Maybe it is because the characters were older, or maybe it was because Kate was trying to fight it that made it feel a bit more real and a bit less like a rushed teen drama.

I personally am a huge cynic of the whole love at first sight thing but in order to review this book fairly I had to put my own feelings on the matter to one side in a way so I could actually provide a true opinion on the book.

I have to say, although it did not totally blow my mind like some of the fantasy books I have read recently, there is a twist I didn't see coming and I really liked it. It gave the story more depth. The main characters are well developed. You do get a more in depth look at Dominic's family than Kate's, although that is to be expected given the place they meet.

I love the relationship between Kate and her best friend Nicole, but also between Kate and Nicole's husband Derek, as well as Derek and Nicole. The characters all seem well suited.. that will make more sense when you read the book.

The only negative for me really was that after the twist the story seems to pick up pace and it feels a bit rushed. We spend all this time getting to know the characters and building this relationship and then its like.. bish ...bash ...bosh .. done.. see ya bye!! I would have preferred it if a little more time had been taken with the story nearer the end.

Overall I did really enjoy Love On Ocean Drive , which is a shock for me haha so I give this a solid 4 out of 5 . Perfect for a chilled out easy reading session

Love on Ocean Drive by Aubrey Parr is the second installment in The Love on series.

Book one is Love on Malecon which is about Nicole and Derek.
Love on Oceandrive is Kate and Dominic´s book.

Kate is a sucessful attorney and Dominic an upcoming artist.
Nicole and Kate are best friends and spend the weekend in Miama Beach.
Kate and Dominic meet at a tattoo parlor and there is inst attraction. They start a fling.
But Dominid is sure he wants a relationship with Kate.
Kate is unsure what she wants and if and how to trust her own feelings.
I liked the characters, they both have a real job and a life.
Love on Malecon was a great read and when you liked this book, you will love this second installment too!

Another 4 star read from Aubrey Parr!

I read Love on the Malecon, the first in this series, and loved that book. If you liked it as well, then you'll like this story just as much. You have two characters who meet by chance, because of a tattoo, and everything changes.

And when I say that things happen similarly in this story, they really do. Or at lewst it read like that for me. The connection is immediate, and Dominic has some serious insta-love going on. Kate is great; she's more practical and not willing to jump in right away. I think that made me like her more. Once they meet, they go through their own ups and downs, and fight for their HEA. Dominic is a wonderful bad boy artist, a great combination in my mind. I connected to both characters, and they had real jobs, and did their best to work around it all. We also got to see more of Nicole and Derek, and I loved that.

I think the only issue some will have with this novel is from early on in the book, when Kate is still unsure of her feelings for Dominic and is trying to get over him. Some could construe this as cheating, but I didn't.

Other than that, it's a very enjoyable read, full of steamy moments and well-written plot that moves nicely. This book can be read as a stand alone, and if you choose to do that, and like it, grab book 1. You won't regret it. If you're like me and liked book 1, then book 2 is a must. And, from what I saw at the end, I think I'm going to really like book 3, when Gael gets his HEA. I'm looking forward to book 3 very much!

I received an ARC of this story and voluntarily left an honest review, courtesy of Quill and Ink Reviews. And then bought it for good measure.

It took me a while to connect with the characters in the book due to the different views and the fact I found it difficult to know which character was talking at the time.

After this issue however I did get into the book and really enjoyed it, both Dominic and Kate have issues and these needed to be worked out in the book from meddling mother in laws to Kate's fear of commitment due to being a divorce lawyer. I loved how they both had a mutual love of art and how this brought them together. I'm now looking forward to Gaels book and going to read the first book of the series as although they are standalone they do have connecting elements in the books.

I really enjoyed this book. I was dying to read it as I loved the first one.
The main character Dominic...OMG I seriously love him.
I don't know how Aubrey did it but somehow she delivered another delectable man to drool over.
The story is set in Miami where Derek and Nicole from the first book are doing a real estate deal. Kate is Nicole's best friend, she comes to visit for a mini break from work as a divorce attorney.
She meets Dominic and anticipates a good old fashioned fling. Dominic on the other hand...well he just knows Kate isn't just a fling...Kate is the real deal.
There are times through the book I was screaming at Kate in my head, but I had to remind myself she works in an environment where she is around her fair share of bitter and twisted ex couples.
Aubrey writes characters that are as real and flawed as us, making them very relatable.

I would definitely recommend love on ocean drive.

Another amazing book by Aubrey Parr, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is book 2 in the 'Love on' Series and although they are each standalones I believe book 1 will give you a better understanding of the backstory. I can't wait for book 3.

This was a beautiful romance where the characters face several challenges before finding their HEA. Kate is a Divorce Lawyer with a tainted view of love, Dominic is an Artist / Tattooist not looking for a relationship. Following a visit from Katie to Dom's Tattoo Parlour and he is not ready to say goodbye. Kate enjoys his attention but knows she will have to say goodbye when the weekend is over. She is on a long weekend break, she doesn't live in Dom's world.

Love on Ocean Drive by Aubrey Parr

*ARC provided for honest review

This is one of those books with a plot that seemed like a fairytale. I really wanted to like this book but it just wasn’t for me.
The characters are ok; I already met Derek and Nicole on Love on Malecon, Kate is Nicole’s best friend.
The plot is interesting; I really wanted to like the book because I love stories where the lead characters have instant connection, but this one didn’t work out for me.
The pace is why I am rating this book average. The shifting of POVs from one character to another was confusing for me. Some lines delivered were also cheesy for my taste.
I didn’t get to finish the book.
I might try to read this book again, which might change my review, and I will sure to update my rating, but for now, I give this a 3.
I will still recommend it to my friends who love this type of stories.

I swooooooooooon!!!!!!
What a lovely tale of love at first sight!!!
This book takes you on an exciting journey of love at first sight with all the feels involved! Both characters feel the immediate attraction, but for their own reasons, they are both hesitant to immediately share the depth of their feelings with each other.
Kate is a divorce lawyer, so she sees the negative side of "love" and "marriage" on a regular basis and it makes her feel like it's not something that is worth pursuing. I loved getting to know Kate and how her mind works!
Dominic *sigh* is a mystery to her, that she enjoys unraveling one layer at a time! The fact that he is a famous artist, one that Kate happens to love, allows her to feel comfortable with him and open herself up to him.
The path they take to be in one another's life is a fabulous story of love overcoming everything!
This book has just a touch of drama to give you a break from all the swoony-ness going on, and it is scripted and written really well! This is my first book by Aubrey and I will be reading many more!
