This book was ok. It was a good review, but a bit too basic for me. Probably great for a beginner. I HATED how the budget was too low that the color pages were inserts, and for a graphic design book, this is a HUGE pain to have to flip back while reading about her review/comments about the images. I used to have math books in color, but this design book isn't?! I appreciate Wiley's need to keep the price down, but I just think it was a poor choice for a graphic design book.
When I bought this book, I was hoping one more about information GRAPHICS, not page layout, etc.
All in all not a BAD book, but just a little below the level I was looking for.
This was a great primer of basic information design info. I don't know if it stands out as an excellent book in general, but it was already on our shelves at home, and it was well-suited toward the type of design work I can see myself doing.
