Over 30 stories about the supernatural associated with Australia. Some are extracts taken from novels and others are purportedly true stories. They vary from 1 paragraph descriptions to 14 pages. And range from the stereotypical ghost stories to some much more unusual, intriguing and in a couple of cases well-written stories.
The outback stories are probably the most Australian sounding ones and often centre around the lack of people, noises at night and the reliance that outback people had on uncorroborated word-of-mouth reports. People getting lost and violent and unexplained deaths.
The book is probably aimed at children, but obviously, many of the stories were originally for adults.
