Your Hands Can Heal You: Pranic Healing Energy Remedies to Boost Vitality and Speed Recovery from Common Health Problems

Rate this book
What if one of the most effective tools you have to restore your health is not surgery or medications, but your own hands? Incredibly, your hands can heal you -- with the "energy medicine" of Pranic Healing. A powerful system that is rapidly increasing in popularity, Pranic Healing works with your own natural, vital energy -- which is also called prana -- to accelerate your body's innate self-healing ability. Amazingly easy to learn and apply, Pranic Healing uses a series of powerful but simple methods to generate energy, including non-touch hand movements; energetic hygiene, the practice of keeping your personal energy tank clean and full; breathing; and brief meditations. Using these unique techniques, you can identify, clear, and purify unhealthy, imbalanced energy and replace it with fresh energy that helps your body heal itself from a wide range of physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms and disorders. A self-healing guide for 24 ailments, including physical and sports injuries, chronic arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, hypertension, headaches, backaches, congestion and colds, menstrual cramps, even depression and stress-related disorders, is included. With step-by-step instructions, line drawings, and numerous real-life medical stories, Your Hands Can Heal You demonstrates and explains a revolutionary program that anyone can use to harness the energy of body, mind, and breath to produce health and facilitate repair. Personally trained by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, who developed Pranic Healing, the authors, Master Co and Dr. Robins, provide the same detailed guidance in Your Hands Can Heal You as in the popular Pranic Healing workshops. Additionally, they present, for the first time in any book, the Grandmaster's special modifications to the breathing practices that can dramatically increase your power and energy and rejuvenate and balance your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body. This exciting new mind-body heath reference proves that you can heal yourself -- with your own two hands.

This was a disappointment as there is way too much Western thought involved. I much prefer to read about Reiki.

In the first two chapters Master Stephen Co describes the mind/body connection and how a persons wellbeing is dependant on both. He goes on to explain in a simple, yet scientific, way how Western, allopahtic medicine and pranic healing (or indeed other healing methods working on the energy body) complement eachother. With the help of Eric Robins, MD, the book demystifies pranic healing using real life examples. The fact is that you don't have to believe in pranic healing for it to work but after just the first two chapters I don't know why anyone wouldn't - it just makes sense! Hold on to your wig, because from Chapter 3 onwards the journey really begins.... applying the techniques to your personal circumstances can cause all kinds of emotional upheaval but ultimately (and quite quickly) provide healing and inner peace. If everybody read this book, the world would certainly be a much better place!

A great book on energy healing with your hands. Anyone can do it with proper focus, intent and by following the simple methodology revealed in this concise work. It is far easier than one might imagine and it works! The energy of the universe is there for all of us to draw from; it is real and it is plentiful.

I bought this book about 6 years ago after seeing the author do a presentation on it. The only part of the book I've read was the 'Clearing Negative Emotions and Limiting Beliefs with Self-Awareness' exercise. I like the exercise so much, it was worth the price of the book to learn it.

Now, I feel drawn to read the rest. The concept of cleansing then energizing makes a lot of sense to me.

We've all felt static electricity on clothes and things so I can understand the idea behind everyone having a field of energy or aura surrounding them. Pranic healing is about keeping that energy field clean in order to allow the body to heal itself. It also talks about breathing techniques that help energize the body with prana (life force). It is a fascinating book.

Everytime I read something revolutionary in this book, I can hear Tommy Chong in my head saying, "Far out, man." It's that kind of book. Exciting theories, and practical advice even for the extreme novice like myself. I enjoyed the chapter on Energetic Hygiene the most. Boy do I need cleansing in this regard! Good stuff!

This book teaches meditation, energy manipulation, and pranic breathing. While I'm unsure about the energy manipulation, part of my 2020 theme is to be more open-minded.

As such, I will try to update this review after I have had a chance to test out the exercises taught in the book.

Came highly recommended by a friend, definitely falls squarely in the woo woo camp. You gotta be able to believe energy work, taichi, the movement of qi or energy. Haven’t put it to practice but I can see how the practice can benefit health even if placebo effect.

While many techniques are easy to follow and practice, some are difficult to follow. Love the pictorial details, wish there were more later in the chapter. Overall a good read. Practicing and hoping to excel.

This book is an introduction to Pranic Healing and it introduces various techniques we can use to heal ourselves. Pranic breathing, tibetan yogic exercises, mentalphysical exercises and twin hearts meditation are few of the techniques described in the book. As someone who has already taken few courses related to Pranic Healing and experimented with the meditation technique, this book served as a valuable reminder of the techniques I had once learnt and forgotten. I also learnt some additional techniques or exercises for boosting vitality and balancing energy through this book. I give it a 3.5 star.

Liza's doctor recommended this book to me. I learned from it the great importance of relaxation and breathing. I read great tips on meditation and breathing techniques that help the body heal. But about half way through the book - the topic switched to other healing techniques that I don't personally connect to... so I decided not to finish the book. But I found the first half of the book very interesting and informative.

Easy to follow and understanding with the guiding pictures to assist you in your practise. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to discover the power of their hands and later, dive into Reiki Healing. This is a great companion book to Master Choa Kok Sui's Pranic Healing Literary Works.
