Tieran and Sarial are about to risk their lives in a ceremony as old as the Sharani Desert itself. To become true aevian warriors, they must participate in a hunt for the genesauri monsters which rove the desert in massive packs. When the hunt goes awry, Tieran's loyalty to his twin sister will be tested and his life placed in the balance.
Twins is a short story from the world of Sands, Storms, and Skies (The Sharani Series) by Kevin L. Nielsen. A swords and sorcery story filled with magic and monsters.

He's owned over 300 guinea pigs at the same time, been nationally ranked as a guinea pig breeder, played duets through his nose on recorders to the embarrassment of many, and lived without air conditioning for almost 2 years.
Kevin owes his publishing debut to a kindly librarian back in the 6th grade, the LTUE Symposium, a purple shirt, and a passing editor who didn't mind some mild sarcasm. His books have been Utah Book Awards finalists, Whitney Award Nominees, and #1 bestsellers on Amazon.
He currently resides in Utah with his amazing wife and two wonderful children. He's still writing and continuing a lifelong quest to become a dragon rider.
Free novella from the author for review. Similar setting to Dune so quickly able to assimilate world. Very short story, well written, easy read. Worth your time to get to know this author.
Short and sweet! This was a short prequel to a fascinating series. It takes a peek into the backstory of two side characters of the main series. This was fun and worth the read, and seriously took me about 2 seconds to complete.
This didn't feel like a prequel nor a short story. More like a chapter pulled from the midst of a book. It's well written, thus the three stars, but it doesn't entice me to want to follow the characters nor the story.
