I read through it this afternoon but it is really more of an exercise book so I will return to it when I'm in the mood to experiment with textiles and texture.

The technique and exercises in this book are intriguing but I had to imagine past my initial distaste for the colour pallet. This is just a matter of taste and I also realize the loud colours make the technique stand out for the purposes of the book. I was most intrigued at the very end when she showed one new piece and mentioned that she is doing more edgey work in subdued colours.

My intro book to the art of fabric manipulation. Created a 6-layer shoulder bag that is stellar!! Great projects in this book, with templates and patterns and how-to instructions. Perfect for me. N

I tried a few ideas and techniques from this informative resource. Experimentation is a huge part of the creative process, so books like this are so valuable, as are local libraries where we can discover them!
Will surely use this again.
