This book was quite cute. Each two-page spread showed a different parent animal romping around their wilderness with their baby, with the accompanying text signifying how much they love their little one (in relation to their surroundings, so the seal is in relation to water, the bunny in relation to the meadow, etc.) The illustrations were delightful, and I've always loved touch-and-feel (and as we were clearly among the first ever to check this one out from the library, it was lovely!) A great book for little ones on many levels - to introduce different animals and where they live, to introduce them to the different touch points, and of course to reiterate how much we love them!

Oh my goodness, could this book get any cuter? It was absolutely adorable with a beautiful illustrations of parent and baby animals and really sweet messages of love. Touch-and-feel books are always an added bonus, we really enjoyed this one!

With a padded cover and several different materials to touch and feel, this board book offers plenty of reassurance of love. The author employs several repetitive phrases and rhyming text that is easy on the ear to deliver the message that "you are loved," a message that can never be heard too many times. Although many other books for youngsters serve the same purposes, it is impossible to have too many books that try to express the enormity and infinite quality of love for one's offspring. The illustrations take readers on a walk through the animal kingdom since expressions of affection are offered by an adult fox, turtle, seal, and rabbit among others, including the fuzzy bear on the cover. Youngsters are sure to clamor for repeated readings of this one since it will make them happy while also keeping them busy touching the animals' fur, noses, or shells. Gosh! I wish books like this were around when I was a little girl.
