Usually when you think of Christmas stories or movies you think of happy, cheesy and lovey dovey joy to the world fluffy stuff- Hello Hallmark. While I love that kind of sap, I also FLOVE horror, and what’s better that a bit of horror with a Christmas theme?!

So, if creepy, dark and gory tales is something you enjoy, then Christmas Nightmares is right up your alley. This anthology contains 6 well written short stories that are sure to make you squirm. They are twisted, bloody and not for the faint of heart!

This time of year all you see in books and on tv are the sappy Christmas stories. Or the stories aimed for kids. While some of these are quite good, they can be tiresome after a while. What if you like things are little darker? What if you want a little blood with your eggnog? Then you have come to the right place.

While most people think of Christmas horror as cheesy, this book is nothing of the sort. These short stories and poems are pure horror, that just happen to have a Christmas theme. Keep the lights on when you read this one. You hear a noise in your house? It may be Santa coming to get you. You better be nice, because these characters have definitely been naughty.

The stories in here are wonderful examples on horror. Each story is extremely different than the other and some of them will really make your skin crawl. I have read so much horror in the past that really didn't scare me. While not every story was the best, 95% of them were. Another thing I appreciate in a good anthology. I didn't think any of them were bad. Plus some of the authors wrote in graphic detail, making you feel like you were the victim. You may need to sleep with the lights on after reading this. Welcome to the dark side of Christmas. Don't forget the cookies.

If your looking for fluffy and bunny then this is not what you want. This is a dark anthology with creepy dark stories to make you shiver. This is a must read anthology if you want to scare yourself then read.

Not your normal Christmas storylines of love, goodwill and happiness, instead, a chilling set of stories written by some Very good writers, my favourite being R.L Weeks. I enjoyed this book quite a lot.

Great Anthology

This is a great collection of stories for some good Christmas scares! I enjoyed most of the stories very much and will watch for other short stories and books by these writers!
