Twice the Fun

Rate this book
We take what we f*cking want. Even when what we want is the same girl.

Dante:

I’m one half of the infamous Rossi Brothers.

We share everything. And I do mean f*cking everything.

Together we’ve built an empire known as The Fun House gentleman’s club and we’ve become two of the most powerful— although also the most investigated— men in town.

We need to protect what’s ours and the last thing we need is a f*cking distraction.

But now we can’t seem to keep our two… business interests… out of the hottest dancer to ever walk into our club and into both of our lives.

Marino:

Jessica showed up out of nowhere, bringing with her the sexiest curves I’d ever seen.

I’d promised myself not to share club girls with Dante.

We’ve set up rules and number one is to never mix business with pleasure.

But Jessica’s so hot we can’t resist. And neither my brother nor I are known for playing by the rules.

I might not be thinking with the right f*cking head but Jessica has me thinking with my heart as well… and that’s when the fun starts to get dangerous.

Jessica:

I’m going undercover. As a stripper.

My Senate committee assigns me to investigate The Fun House and take down the Rossi brothers.

I might be the youngest member of the committee but I’m good at my job— the best. But now I’m doing my job in six-inch heels and not much else.

I’m ready to do whatever it takes but nothing prepares me for Dante and Marino.
These possessive bad boys want me. Exclusively. Giving them private dances.

How was I supposed to know how much fun it would be to bare my body and my soul to two muscular, tattooed brothers at the same time?

They say they care about me but I know they care about loyalty even more.

Will they ever forgive me when they uncover the truth? The real reason I came to their club was to bring them down.

Twice the Fun is a standalone MFM menage romance with no cliffhanger and a double happy ending. It’s all about two hot bad boys falling for one woman. There are no M/M scenes and it’s only about pleasing her. Because the only thing better than being with one bad boy is being with two at the same time!

*** Just a warning that the heat level on this one is scorching hot! If you don’t like steamy scenes featuring two guys pleasing the one woman they both love, take a pass on this one.

At the very beginning of the book, we learn that Jessica is a member of the Senate, but they want her to investigate the Rossi brothers by going undercover and working as a stripper in their club. What? I'm sorry, she's a member of the Senate, right? Not a police officer? At this point I probably should have DNF'ed but figured I could suspend disbelief and just enjoy it for the menage story. Sexy times here I come! Except...

In order to write a successful menage story, there are a couple of things you need to do...

1. Know (and keep straight) the names of your characters.
There are three main characters. It is frustrating when Dante suddenly becomes Marino or vice versa. Consequently, it was also frustrating when they only knew her as Desire yet called her Jessica. Hmm...

2. Get the positions and the physical aspects of the dirty deeds down.
She's with two men at the same time. Am I truly supposed to believe that she's super hesitant to do anal because it might hurt but will take both of them in her vajayjay at the same time without batting an eye?

3. Dirty talk can be sexy but only if it's done right.
Partners telling each other over and over again that they're about to come is not sexy talk; it's annoying. Tell me how sexy she is, not exactly what you're doing to her like you're reading a how-to manual. And it just goes downhill from there. Wow, just wow...

So I couldn't enjoy it for the plot, and I couldn't enjoy it for the sex. Sadly, there was nothing left.

Rating: 2/5 Penguins
Quick Reasons: sub-par plot; 1-dimensional characters; I didn't connect to the story OR the personalities; there were some weird plot holes that were never really explained; the romance wasn't believable and things progressed way too quickly; I just didn't enjoy this one, penguins

I was SO super excited to be picking up a book not on my "reviews required" list, and to be diving into another menage romance (I know, I know--it's definitely not for everyone, but I enjoy them?! sue me). Unfortunately for me, though...this one fell very, very flat. Just a warning for my dedicated penguin readers: there will be no quotes from this book, because...I really couldn't find any I liked that were still "reader friendly" for all the ages that stop by here. So no quotes! Again, sue me?

Let's talk nitty gritty: the blurb promises drama, intrigue, and a lot of steamy action. All of these promises, in the end, fell SUPER flat. The plot was pretty basic and 1-dimensional; there were a lot of sex scenes, but they were so quick and emotionless, I didn't find them steamy in the slightest. The drama and intrigue, also, fell short--instead of playing major roles in the story progression, they were mentioned once or twice and then forgotten for the "pleasures" of the budding relationship.

The timing was really fast, too. In fact, the pacing was SO quick, I had a very difficult time suspending my disbelief for the plot or the realism of the characters/relationship. I tried, very hard, to find the emotions in these character interactions and reactions...but the dialogue was filled with cursing and foul-mouthed talking. This story wasn't so much believable as it was a farce on relationships--which is super harsh, I know, but I cannot find a way to wrap my head around how QUICKLY the pace jumped. It just wasn't realistic.

The writing was pretty iffy, too. Names and characters were confused--one character would be in the middle of talking, but the author would change the name in the next breath. There were a fair number of grammatical errors as well--missing words being the biggest. This wasn't helped, in the slightest, by the various plot holes laced throughout. The most glaring: why someone working as a SENATOR...would be "investigating" people. Legally, I don't think they can even do that. Also, they're not cops; they have no actual standing in regards to upholding the LAW....so....why? Why was this even a thing? It makes no sense to me. There were a few other things I had issues with, but... this was the biggest one.

Overall, I was super confused by this book and couldn't enjoy it. Neither characters or plot were believable, the pacing was way too fast, and I couldn't connect emotionally with either the personalities or the story. This was a big penguin-beaks down for me, unfortunately--the "hot and steamy" was, in fact, super disappointing.

Dante & Marino Rossi are strip club owners passing themselves off as brothers. They have spent their whole lives together feeling more like each others family than either of their real family. Their strip club, The Fun House is under investigation for alleged wrong doings. Jessica Mason is a young Senate committee member who is tasked to go undercover to investigate the clubs illegal activities. She poses as a stripper & auditions for a job at the club. Both of the Rossi brothers are attracted to her & they both want her. They decide to have her together because they share everything. Jessica, Dante & Marino become entangled with one another & Jessica's original plan for being at the club no longer seems as important. She finds that she enjoys how she feels being a popular stripper & being share by two men is so much more than she could have imagined. When someone from the brother's past threaten everything they have worked to build together, the bond between brothers & lovers is put to the test. And it is left to one of the brothers to decide what is most important & what is worth holding onto.

This was a down & dirty fun menage short story. The characters were all well thought out & believable. It was an enjoyable read. This book is meant for mature readers.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

Dante and Marino Rossi are two gorgeous guys who run a strip club. They are so hot that women pay them to have the chance to strip for them. Their place is so hot that the are being monitored by law enforcement to catch any rule breaking. Even the senate is interested in them. One senate committee sends its newest member Jessica undercover to get some dirt. Jessica doesn't want to go but she needs the support of the other committee members to be a successful senator. So after some quick research and practice, she applies for a job.
Dante and Marino are instantly drawn to Jessica. Not only is she beautiful but sh is a great dancer. Jessica is surprised how much she enjoys stripping for Dante and Marino. She also really enjoys her private dances for them two. The Rossi's show her how hot and dirty she can be. She starts to develop feelings for Dante and Marino. Which is more important, her senate job or fer feelings for her men.? What if they find out the truth?
This is a very hot read!! The two men share her even at the same time. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.

My review would be less than 3 stars.

Why?

The story was kinda there. This young lady - Jessica, goes undercover for a story within a Strip Club, posing as a Stripper. Ok. However, next we have her instantly being felt up by the 2 owner's of the club. No, hi, how ya doing. Just dive right in. The two guys, Dante and Marino seem to possibly be hiding something. Jessica doesn't even try to be looking for the drugs, or whatever they maybe hiding, she's just their to strip, and get on with Dante & Marino. She reports back to the Senator, that nothing is going on, but, she has done 0 detective work.

The guys, Dante & Marino there story was there. But, nothing was evolved with them. How did they work with the Mafia? Did they? What was happening behind the scene's we weren't seeing. I think the actual story was there, it just didn't come to light.

The spelling was lacking, editing was lacking. What was going on scene description wasn't there. Inconsistencies throughout the story. The characters were very descriptive, but, not what was going on around them.

Ok so MFM is hot, bad boys get me hot, and this wasn't a shy, quiet wallflower girl either. And of course there is a crazy chick in the midst there too, trying to mess everything up.

So anyways, if you look books that get you hot and bothered, then just know this is the best I have read in awhile. Oh it has good story too.
I received an arc, btw. Lucky me!

Hot hot hot. This story is amazing it had me hooked from the start with a great storyline that is emotional, funny and lovely. This story has a lot of elements like love, betrayal, loyalty, sadness, fun, admiration and the sex scenes are completely HOT. I love to read menage books but find they can be very similar in storyline but this book stands out from all the others I have read before. His is a definite must read and I told definitely recommend this book to everyone

Whose On First With All These Errors, January 25, 2017

This review is from: Twice the Fun: A Bad Boy MFM Menage Romance (Kindle Edition)
Multiple unforced errors in this one- character names switched, character names changed mid-chapter, then changed back, spelling errors. The storyline lacked a proper antagonist, and the setup was not in the least bit realistic, especially for the timeline established by the plot and character age. Neither is the tension between the characters, adequately explored. They are all said to have reservations, but they really don't. For a new dancer, this woman is more amazing than women paying their rent, that way (and given the prep described in the book, no way).

I learned to love language through reading, and one of the things that has expanded my vocabulary and kept my love of reading strong for decades, is properly-edited text. Not simply clean text, but checks for consistency, for plot integrity, for character arc. I wish there was more attention paid to these aspects of the novel, because the plot description seemed pretty intriguing. Steam was less than steamy, because of the aforementioned errors.

Non stop action!
Two hot men who are brothers by action not by birth own a strip club with some not so legal added attractions. Jessica is a placed their undercover for her job position to bring back proof on the brothers so that they can be closed down and brought down.

Let's just say Jessica is much better at being a stripper than she anticipated and more attracted to these two men than she should allow herself to be.

The story is very steamy with all three characters capturing my attention. Although if I'm to be honest Marino jumps forth as my favorite. These two men have different strengths and together than can do anything or anyone.

The blurb was good but the story was much better. This is one of those books that I went through in one day and look forward to seeing what the author puts forth in her next book.

Dante is a headstrong businessman who doesn't forgive easily. Marino is a smart sensitive guy who sometimes trusts too much. They are best friends who grew up together. Everyone thinks they're brothers and they even treat each other as such. They have a strong bond and only trust and love each other. That is until Jessica enters their strip club, The Fun House. Jessica is an innocent state senator. She is sent to The Fun House to work undercover as a stripper named Desire to gather evidence against the guys. Jessica soon discovers she has a naughty sexual side and falls for the "brothers". They fall for her too. Will she turn over evidence against the guys or will she follow her heart? What happens if the guys discover her original reason for entering the club? Will they forgive her?

This book is a really great read if you like erotic with a mix of bad boy and MFM ménage. It starts out with Jessica going in to get dirt on a couple of men who are seedy strip club owners. Needless to say, the tables are turned when she falls for not only one but both of these sexy hot as hell men. You have friendship, family, sex, life and love all rolled into one book. I received an advanced copy of this book before editing which was much needed. This is the first read a book from this author Juliana Conners, I can tell you that I would be interested in reading another one of the books she has written. The book itself is intriguing, sexual and keeps you rooting for the good to come out of a awkward situation. Take a look, you just may find the book you are looking for.

What could be more fun than finding out you get to be a stripper and you're attracted to the boss? How about being attracted to both bosses? Jessica finds out just how much fun she can have in her undercover job. I thought it was a little unbelievable that Jessica was a senator and the Rossi brothers had no clue, but the heat factor was certainly off the charts and well done.Hot and sexy, times two!

Definitely fun, but sooo out there.

Admittedly, this book was super steamy. But seriously, a senator infiltrating a strip club?!?! No possible way! And that she would willingly give up her entire career for two criminals?? And that she would become the "star stripper"?? The premise was just to outrageous to even try to buy into. Glad there was a HEA - no matter how far fetched it was. Just silly sexiness.

I think that the Author had a really good idea for the plot but the execution left me wanting. After one of the scenes of intimacy, I questioned if the author was male or female because I didn't think a female would write that. I am glad that they respected the females and wore protection, not enough books do this. I will try other books by this author, but if more go the way this one did, I will probably stop.

Twice the Fun by Juliana Conners was a hot, steamy read that I enjoyed immensely. The storyline was inventive and unique. This MFM menage starts off with Jessica being assigned to go undercover to take down the Rossi Brothers. But it turns out they are not seedy men looking for the next opportunity to commit crimes, in fact they are the sexiest, sweet, caring men she'd ever met. Well, until you get them undressed! Deliciously naughty things go on behind closed doors. Highly recommended!

This book is the first book I have read by author Juliana Conners and I am glad that I did. This is a M/F/M menage story between two hot best friends that own a shady strip club and a innocent junior senator with a naughty side. There is plenty of hot and steamy scenes with enough action, and romance scenes in the mix to make for a good read. If you like menage books then this is a must read.

So.so.

Eehh this was just okay. The story itself wasn't bad but it wasn't super believable. I found it hard to believe a senator would do the things she did plus how easily she gave into everything. I did like the male characters. Good guy. Bad guy. Sweet and strong. Perfect pair. Super, Super steamy book. Happy ending. Wish the epilogue was longer though.

No real connection between the main characters, no tension, no remotely believable plot (a junior senator being sent undercover as a stripper, really?), even the sex scenes weren't particularly good. There are bonus books included but don't bother. I didn't.

It's a read about a young woman who goes undercover to bring down two guys who run a strip club. These two guys, brothers by choice do everything together. They fall for this woman and she falls for them immediately. Enjoy I did.

Not bad!

The stories in the book are really good but I have only given it 4stars because of the writing, some of the chapters the names are wrong so it got confusing also some of the character names are in the wrong place.

Seriously one of the worst stories I have ever read. It's completely unrealistic and so poorly written. I didn't even attempt the additional stories that came with it. Thank goodness it was free. Now if only I could get my time back.
