I really enjoyed this book! For the first book of the new year I was very happy with it. While it's a MC story it has some twists that you may not be expecting.
Joe "The Bear" Montague, president of the Lucifer's Lair MC, knows he has a traitor in his club. Someone is out to kill him and this time they come very close. So he hires 22 year old hacker and private investigator Chantal Phillips to help him find the rat. Moving Chantal into the clubhouse as his girlfriend seems like the best way to get her close to the club members and spy on them. What he isn't prepared for is the way she fits effortless into his life.
But Chantal comes with some dark secrets of her own. And while she tries to keep her problems from Joe, things quickly escalate out of control.
This book is very fast paced and fun to read. I look forward to reading more about Lucifer's Lair MC.

For an MC book, it is a good book. This is my first Eden Rose book and it is a good story with strong characters. Joe is a pretty good guy for being a President of a 1% biker club. But when his life is threatened and he needs help he hires a hacker that just might be too much for him.
Chantal is a young hacker that has gotten into trouble. So when she is hired by Joe to look into his troubles, she jumps at the chance. But did she maybe take on more than she bargained for?
I really did enjoy this book and can't wait to see where the other stories go.

There were a lot of unexpected surprises in this book. Things from nefarious plans to trying to blow someone up, wiping them out of the MC. Why? What is the reason behind it all? Who is Chelsea? Why does The Bear bring her in? What does he bring her in as? What happens? What arrangement do they make? When someone finds out what Chelsea does for a living, what happens? What do they expect her to do? Who is Big Sir and what is his deal with regards to Bear and with regards to Chelsea? You're going to have to read this book, which is the first in the series, to see how things will go with the rest of the series!

Okay...
So this book had a lot of promise. I really thought I was going to love this book. It started out good. But then I started to see some inconsistencies. Like the fact that she says she's 5'1. So she's pretty short, but then one of the bad guys is shorter than her. Okay, so I could handle that okay. The Bear is made out to sound like he's a big guy, tall and muscular. But then there's a part where it's written that she is standing in front of The Bear and she comes up to his chin. So...who's tall and who's short? That happens a lot in the book. And then the writing style just started to sound more juvenile and rushed towards the end of the book. I wanted to like this book...I really did. But I just couldn't get into it that much.

Decent story
This was a decent story and started out well. It kept me interested enough to read it through to the end but I would highly recommend a good editor to go through and re-release it. The characters were pretty good but then towards the end it was like reading junior high school conversations and these ten e structures, grammar and other mistakes became very distracting. You were reading in one persons pov then suddenly realize it was the other person who made the comment you just read. Even the villains were jokes. This really does have potential just needs help.

There was a lot I enjoyed about this book, but also a bit that passed me off. I get that he had a rat, I get why he hides that he hired Pinky lol. I even love how they fall for each other, but the way the hang around treated her without any consequences was rediculous. They needed to be taught a lesson and it seems they got off. Other than that, I did enjoy the storyline. Great plot with tons of excitement.

This was the first book that I've read by this author and I can't wait for more. I've read this book in one sitting tonight, because I love MC! I loved Joe and everything he stands for. If you like MC you'll enjoy this one. I look forward to moving into book 2.

Couldn't put this book down, read it in one day. I was hooked from the beginning to end. Nothing like a gruff, dominating MC president to still your heart. Great read!

Not knowing who to trust he brings in an outsider, Chantal, to help him investigate. In order to get her in the club she needs pretend to be his woman. There is some great plotting here, I really enjoyed how it all played out, the dynamics of the club, the drama, the twists and the suspense of wondering what was really going on. And the romance is smoking hot. Thank you Eden Rose for this great story. I hope to see more of your work on Audible soon.
I listened to the Audible edition, narrated but the talented Rodney Falcon. He put a lot of heart in his performance, he brings the story and the characters to life, gives them their voices, personality and attitude. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

I must say that I do enjoy reading a MC book! This was my first book by Eden Rose and she created some pretty damn strong characters. This was a quick read for me. I would have finished it in a day if this thing called work wouldn’t keep getting in my way.
This book is told in dual POV from The Bear, who happens to be the present of Lucifer's Lair MC and Chantel, a pink haired private investigator with mad computer hacking skills.
Joe 'The Bear' Montague needs to find out who the “rats” are that are scurrying about his MC. He decides to go against his own club rules and hires Chantal Phillips to put her hacking skills to good use.
With all the lies and secrets, twists and turns, the not knowing who is friend or foe…kept me turning the pages. Oh…did I forget to mention the sex scenes! Silly me!
The downside to this book was the grammatical errors and misspelling of words. I know that every book has a glitch here and there, but I would highly suggest that Ms. Rose hire a really good editor and then do a re-release. This is a great book with a ton more potential if the book was given a good once over!

First off, I'm a sucker for MC books. This one was really good. It held my attention from start to finish. Joe and Chantal have instant chemistry and can't deny the attraction to each other. The sex scenes between are hot enough to melt your kindle, I swear. The only thing I would have added more of, was the way they ended the bad guys. I'm not talking about an in depth description but I think the guys should have done more then what they did. They were dirty traitors and deserved a lot more then they got. Just my opinion. I did love the characters and how loyal they were to their president despite him taking things a bit extreme. In his defense, there were rats in his club and someone trying to kill him. Chantal was a good character, a bit naive for my taste but she worked good with Joe(The Bear). I was happy to see by the end she was able to handle the club skanks. She showed them that she belonged there. I'd recommend this book to others who enjoy MC books

I loved this! It does seem kinda slow in the beginning but as the story moves forward it really picks up! Chantal was a great lead. She is strong and has her own business. Her only prob is trying not to fall for the biker and the money she owes Big Sir. She has a great friend in Jen! I love their time together. She is so outrages! When Bear and a couple boys meet up with them for dinner. It becomes amazing! Slice is very similar to Jen. They do this one-up against each other. It was “one-liners” for hooking up. So so funny! There are serious times as well. This is full of guns, redemption, possessive reactions, MC business and some sexy times.
This is my first book by this author. She did a good job weaving the story with a lot of characters. This is the first in the series so I can see some of these guys getting their own stories. I feel a good job was done on the club “life”. I listened to this on audio and Rodney Falcon did a wonderful job.

Hard Core & Exciting!
So I finished this in less than a day. Yeah... It was that addicting and I was completely entranced. I loved the storyline and the chemistry between The Bear and Chantal was perfect. The separate POVs meshed well together and touched on some pretty deep topics. This is one of those stories that comes full circle and leaves you completely satisfied but also craving more.

This was a good story. There some behind-the-scenes stuff happening to undermine the current Prez’s MC and he won’t stand for it. He’s gotta get creative to find those responsible. She’s his mole. Her hacking skills are beyond reproach. She needs him too. Can they survive what’s coming for them? This was a very well-written story. It’s fun to see the dynamic between the characters. Overall, good stuff.

I FLOVE MC reads and this one is no exception. The twists of who done it and why? And how they all fit into the secrets and lies is definitely fun trying to figure out. These guys are bad a$$ bikers and hot as sin. Bear and Chantal are prefect for each other and their chemistry is hot. You don't want to miss this read.

You know when you read a story and you don't want it to ever end. That's this story. Best is the President of an MC club and he hired a civilian to look into his club. Channel has a secret herself that could destroy everything. I didn't want this to end I loved these characters

This is my first story to listen to by Eden Rose wont be my last, I couldn't stop listen once i start it, OMG Bear and Chantal story have chemistry thats off the charts, Plus there twists and turns, suspense, action and one hiding secret. Again Rodney narration brings all the characters to life, another great listen🎧

Taming the Bear is the first book in The Lucifer’s Lair MC series, and is the first book I have listened to by this author, but not the first by narrator Rodney Falcon who brought these characters to life. This story has strong complex characters, unexpected twists in the plot and suspense in the story line. Looking forward to the next release in the series.

I enjoyed this MC romance that actually focuses on the club and not just the sex, although the sex was very good too.
Great storyline & characters.
Narration was pretty good but I had a little trouble distinguishing between male & female characters.
This is book 1 and can be read as a standalone. I recommend this book!

Loved loved loved this book, who would have thought that private investigator would be so attracted
to an MC prez, he loved her pink hair and her sassy attitude. What she uncovered really shocked him but as with everything in his life he dealt with it. A really good book

This is a good start to this MC club. Good strong characters that I can see developing over time. Good storyline and plenty of action. Excellent narration from Rodney, really brings the characters alive.

I think this is my first adventure with Ms. Rose and I'm loving it. She tells a good story and I can't wait to read something else by her.

New to me Author
It was a great story, Hot and sexy but needed more about the club.
It also needs to be re edited. Words missing, sentences not making sense. I powered through and still liked it.
