I really like reading historical biographies especially ones for children through young adults. I am a big picture, illustration lover and visual learner, so I like how they always show objects, maps and architecture to explain a person's impact and influence on history. This series is no exception. This book packs a lot in the 32 pages and uses primary sources and archaeology to show Julius Caesar's impact.

I have read other biographies on Julius Caesar and love Shakepeare's Julius Caesar. This book gives an excellent overview and introduction to Julius Caesar and Rome. I really encourage all ages not to be afraid of reading history and if you are interested, but feel overwhelmed with an adult scholarly book, start with elementary to high school level versions. The pictures bring it to life.
