As with all edited works, the chapters vary in effectiveness, but overall a very helpful resource. I, personally, found chapter 2: Prayer in the Old Testament Outside the Psalms among the most helpful. The final chapters were personal testimonies and they were encouraging.

This is a collection of different articles on prayer, some giving a theology of prayer, some looking at the experience of prayer in different parts of the world and some personal reflections on prayer.
It is a very helpful resource and a challenge to pray. I found the chapters on prayer in Korea and prayer lessons from the puritans particularly helpful, as well as the chapters on prayer in the Old Testament and New Testament.
Highly recommended.

" One of the most startling truths about prayer is this: prayer can be taught and learnt."
