Where do I begin? So you have a magic carpet, now what?
Learn about history, life skills, survival skills, animals, landings, travel, famed locations, asking for help, figuring out all things S.T.E.A.M. (an excellent resource for teachers)
The downside for me with this book is not only is the print small but it is EVERYWHERE. That's not a bad thing, per say, but its hard to focus when you first go through this book. You will literally have to go through the book at least 3 times before you get a solid grasp on everything the book features, which is a good thing, but for younger readers, maybe not. You decide.

The concept is cool. The illustrations are colorful. Great book for a vivacious reader or educator/homeschool parent/etc.

An oversized information book about magic carpet flying, that actually packs a good bit of education material alongside the magical fun (lots about map reading, for instance). A good gift book for the kid who likes expository reading.

This book and an armful of thoughtfully chosen supplies is all we need for a fun filled afternoon when the kids and I are stuck indoors. So. Much. Fun! And the scientific details included throughout a simply a bonus. Enjoy!

My 10 year old who loves to read about adventures enjoyed this book thoroughly. I also read many parts of it with him and we found ourselves fascinated by the many aspects of aviation. At the same time we were amused by the author's delightful tone and language in presenting the facts. A great book to own or gift, an engrossing read, and a truly magical ride!
