Jessica Sorensen is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author from the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.
I can't believe this happened to Dash. And I am so anxious to find out more. I hope Ms. Sorensen considers finishing this beautiful series. I loved him and Sway, they are so perfect together, even if they don't know it yet.
This particular author I would love to rave about this as she is one that I have loved in every book she has written, but at the same time this author frustrates the hell out of me and so I end up with a love/hate relationship as I find she either doesn't finish her series or she will reprint them under a different name and have half a dozen books for the same series yet it never feels complete. The other thing for me is this is one of the authors that I read when I don't know what to read but just want to read as I know for certain that her books will grab me. I knew I had read some books that had to do with the Guardian Academy as some of the characters sounded familiar like Dash's twin brother Jax. In The Forest of Shadow and Bones, we meet Dash who ends up in a bit of a situation as one of the powerful females Viv who he was once bonded tries to kill him when he disobeys. However, instead of being left completely dead, he is in limbo status and the Reaper gives him a piece of advice as these people don't want Viv to win the war if she does it screams disaster for plenty of the supernatural creatures in the universe. He needs to find Sway as she holds the map to the Forest of Shadow and Bones. Once in the forest, he can gain his body and powers back. The thing is though that Sway is a regular human who can see and talk to ghosts, or so she thinks. Not having any family, she doesn't know much about her abilities. What will happen when she meets with Dash and her eyes and world are open wide? Will she help Dash get to the Forest of Shadow and Bones or will she try to remain hidden and live life as a normal teen? Find out in Book #1 of The Guardian Academy - Dash's series by Jessica Sorensen.
Was loving to read this book untill I came to know that it's not finished. Hell, it's not a stand-alone Novella. I hate you, dear writer, I hate you. Why didn't you write it stand-alone? Isn't that great to write a series in which each book is stand-alone than putting a damn cliff-hanger at the end? Huh! Nonetheless you did please me. So here you go...★★★★
I was very reluctant about reading this book but now I'm glad I did it because I enjoyed it. The story goes by very fast, so this is only the beginning for a big adventure for Dash and Sway.
This is sort of a spin off of the guardian series and focuses on Dash, Jax's brother. I don't know if it is going to interconnect with the other part of the series, but since that isn't finished yet, it is a good possibility. I got to see a little more depth to Dash in this book, but much surrounding him is still a mystery. Jessica Sorensen seems to release books and new series at the speed of light, and, unfortunately, pulls a lot of them back as fast as they come out. It would be nice if we got the finish to a series before 3 or 4 more are released. Other than that, they are all quick and enjoyable reads, if a bit frustrating. I'm reading on Kindle Unlimited, so I'm not too upset.
This is clearly just the beginning of the story and I'm really excited to read the rest of it. Dash is a very mysterious character with lots of secrets and I'm interested to see what else he's hiding. Sway is very intriguing, she barely knows what she is yet she knows so much. I'm excited to learn the rest of her story just as she does. Also lets not forget the romance I feel brewing. It's pretty funny actually the way Dash talks about Sway like he has never met a girl in his life, which of course is a lie, so I'm ready to see where it leads.
Facebook sucks so bad I wanna do was read about the other people and I got I want to read about the other people he was so interesting how did he stay separated him from everybody else.
