The Lethe Stone

Rate this book
The great battle for the survival of the Fae is over…but the war is not yet won. Though they have defeated their greatest enemy, evil has slipped through the veil into the human world, and a cursed bone sorcerer wields his deadly power against helpless mortals.
Tess O’Connor, the not-quite-mortal Bearer of the Iron Sword, must now strike a pact with the three Queens of Faeortalam to open a new Gate between the worlds. With a hand-picked band of warriors, she ventures back into the mortal world to search for a missing ulfdrengr, a Wild Court navigator, and a human who had fought alongside them at the Dark Keep, hoping to find them before the bone sorcerer.
In the Fae world, Queen Vell balances her alliance between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. One of her Three has a vision of a bloody civil war, and she fights to hold back the tide of enmity between the Seelie and Unseelie while the Bearer is on her mission in another world. With their common enemy defeated, the High Queen must hold the tenuous peace between Queen Mab and Queen Titania or risk plunging Faeortalam into another deadly war that may be the end of them all.

At the end of the previous book a major battle took place. A portal was opened causing three men from the Fae world to fall into the mortal world.
And that's where this book takes off, and the adventure begins.
The fae that are inadvertently in the mortal realm is one story. The other story is the people in the Fae world know these three are missing and are planning for a way to "rescue" them and also get the Lethe stone.
And when the two stories combine the excitement level increases.

Where's the next book?

I really enjoyed this series. However, what a cliffhanger!
I hope it doesn't end like this. So many questions unanswered. My review would be a 5 star except for having no indication of another book

Out of the corner

Out of the corner of your eye, if you squint just right, at twilight you can see the gate. Approach with caution and you will enter a world that will change you forever. If you are one of the fortunate ones there'll be some Fae blood in your genes, in which case you may never want to come back.

Truthfully the foul language didn't add anything good to the story but the story is riveting.

Good Continuation

Another good continuation of the Fae wars. This book was fast paced, well made characters, action, evil and romance. Was a little disappointed in the ending and that our kick butt heroine was not so much in this book. Also how she easily forgets her first love for her other one. Went from love to lust and I just do not see that especially when she saved her first love several times. Either way a good read.

Loved it!

I started this series yesterday and I couldn't put it down, I've read all 4 so far and can not wait until the next book comes out. The characters made me laugh, I felt irritation, frustration and I fell in love with each of the main characters more and more. What an amazing author and in so glad I found this series.

While an enjoyable read it didn’t really seem like a story that needed an entire book. I got the whole series on kindle unlimited so I’m fine just going from one book to the next in one stretch. If I had waited for months for the book to come out, I would have been disappointed. Hopefully the next one(s) move the story along a bit better without constantly adding new characters.

Not a stand alone book

I hate it when I read a book all the way through, only to find out it abruptly ends with no resolution. I have read all the books in this series, and was disappointed in the ending.

The Lethe Stone (The Far War Chronicles Book 4)

The search for the Lethe Stone is on. Tess and the other are back on the mortal world looking for the Born Sorcerer. Will they find him and the Lethe Stone? OK story, great love scenes, and good fighting scenes.

Another most excellent story in the Fea War Chronicles. There's a lot of great action, some new characters, and many surprises.
