Tegan Raccini's heart has been hardened her parent's divorce, and by the recent loss of her bad boy biker lover to a life-long prison sentence. She isn't bitter; in fact, she's rather upbeat. But, she simply doesn't trust men.

When she causes an accident with a motorcycle on the freeway, she's immediately attracted to the handsome biker, but knows she can't stand another heart break. Even though she's unemployed, she agrees to pay for the damages, hoping to never see him again.

To earn the money for the repairs to his motorcycle, she accepts a job as the in-home caregiver for an elderly man who is confined to a wheelchair.

There's one problem when she shows up at his home.

A BIG problem.

He's the biker's father.

ROUGH is a stand-alone MC Romance with no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and no cliff hanger. It has an HEA, and although it is book II of a series, no other book is required to tell this tale. For the complete experience, and to understand the ancillary characters fully, reading HARD before ROUGH is recommended.

“All we have is our word. Be a man of your word. Always.”

Rough is the second book in the Filthy Fuckers Series. Offering an authentic blend of romance, brotherhood, sex, and the significance of family, Rough is addictive and truly remarkable. Although this is the second book in the series, this story can be read as a stand-alone. However, I highly recommend reading Hard in order to fully appreciate the complete story arc of the series.

description
"It didn’t sound like the name of a motorcycle club I wanted to piss off. But it was far too late to prevent that from happening. I was sure of it."
Tegan Rassini is living on a prayer just scraping to get by. Apart from the love and support she receives from her best friend, she is alone. During a traffic jam like no other, she finds herself suffering from lack of air conditioning. When she opens her door to breathe in some fresh air, a motorcycle collides with her vehicle. The biker is beyond angry with his busted bike. Tegan does her best to console the beast, and they make arrangements for her to pay for damages.
"I stared blankly at my scratched up bike. My previous thoughts of fucking Tegan over an operating table faded and were replaced with ones of tying her up and making her my sexual slave."
description
"In recent years we’d become as close as any father and son could be, and although he wasn’t one to ever discuss how he felt, I knew he loved me as much as anyone could."
Pee Bee, although intimidating, is loyal to his brothers and he adores his parents. With his father sick and needing additional care, Pee Bee hires a nurse to offer assistance. When he opens the door to greet the new employee, ironically it is Tegan the "incompetent bitch" that caused his bike to crash. After the awkwardness, and some hand to hand combat, Tegan enters the home and begins to care for Bradley Pee Bee's ailing father. As time passes, Tegan and Bradley form a significant bond. Witnessing her kindness and strength, Pee Bee begins to recognize Tegan for the spunky and unbelievably stunning woman she is. Suddenly his world shifts and the wisdom from his father begins to infiltrate his soul. When Pee Bee adjusts his thought process and opens up to Tegan, it triggers a beautiful relationship between the two. Full of passion, sexy goodness, and fun, Tegan and Pee Bee are unstoppable.
"Rhythmically, predictably, and with the precision of a surgeon, I concentrated on circling her clit with my tongue, and then sucking it. Circling it, and then sucking it."
description

Told in dual POV, Rough is full of complex characters and layered with wisdom and love. There is nothing that can accurately describe the significance of the relationship between a father and a son and yet, Rough captures every single breathtaking moment with clarity and ease. As Pee Bee aspires to become a better man, the transformation is meticulous and coincides perfectly with the development of his relationship with Tegan. Tegan is a strong heroine who exudes humility and love and yet, she is loaded with fire and determination. With quick, witty dialogue, vibrant supporting characters and the constant undercurrent of love and devotion, Rough is completely original and carefully crafted to offer an entertaining and realistic view on life and love and everything that happens in between.

“The same wise man once told me, when you know, you just know."
Overall, I highly recommend Rough to everyone. As readers, we read to escape, to relate, to connect, and to feel and this epic story brings it all to the table. With likable characters, plenty of laughs, and a few tears Rough is simply unforgettable. Mr. Hildreth continues to amaze me with his diversity as a writer and his ability to evoke a plethora of emotions every single time! No doubt there will be more greatness to follow and my Kindle and I will be ready and waiting for more!

Wow!!!!!
I was enraptured when I heard Scott read the first four chapters. I was counting down the days until I could get my hands on this book. I knew it was going to be different. I knew it would hold a place in my heart. I just didn't know how big of a piece or exactly why.
This book/story brought out all kinds of emotions. I was laughing one minute, smiling the next and crying after that. Only to circle back to laughter. From car doors destroying bikes, to swedish meatballs and scrabble. To 50th wedding anniversary's and a funeral.
Bradley Sr grabbed onto a piece of my heart and didn't give it back. His love for his son and knowledge of life and love was so genuine and loyal. Add in his grumpy facade, you just can't help but love him.
Brad (Pee Bee) grows from a lady's man who you couldn't pay to stick around, to a man so in love and not ashamed to show it. From the moment he kissed Teagan he knew it was different, she was different. He held on tight and loved her as much as his father loved his mother.
Teagan is a bright, caring, blunt in your face woman I wish I could meet. The love she has for Bradley and Brad shows her huge heart. She made promises and kept them with her whole heart. ..... and it all started with scrabble, the foundation for any worth while solid whole hearted relationship.
Slayed Scott.... f*#@ing slayed
If you haven't read a Scott Hildreth book you absolutely need to. The way he draws you in as if you're living it, is only the half of it. This is an amazing author who will change your life one word at a time!!

This one was funny!

It was a pretty cute biker book, though it's not as "rough" as most of them are.
And gah, it was long! It kind of got boring after a time, it started to go slow and nothing really happened.

The h was really funny and she kicked ass, so yay! Unfortunately, the H wasn't too interesting, he felt like a pretty flat character.

It's not a bad one, it had some good stuff to go with the bad, so might be worth giving a try.

Where to start? First things first. The heroine in this book is my all-time favorite. Ever. She has nothing to show for her life (except a car with one door, an awesome best friend who happens to be hilarious), yet she maintains a great outlook on life.

When she meets Brad "Pee Bee" (stands for pretty Boy) Carson, she shrugs it off. Despite his good looks, she knows that he'll be just like her last biker boyfriend.

Trouble.

But, as her hypocritical flamboyantly gay best friend tells her, categorizing people isn't the right thing to do.

She keeps him (the biker, not the friend) at arm's length, and doesn't succumb to his requests for anything, sex included. hell, she won't even suck his cock (and she makes that clear).

I almost forgot. Their way of meeting, by the way, has to be one of the best 'collisions' of H and h in history.

So, Tegan, the heroine, owes Pee Bee, the Hero, $3,500 for a motorcycle that she damaged. Fresh out of college, and on the hunt for a job, she ditches his repeated calls of 'where's my fucking money?'

Soon, she finds a job. Her new job should pay for it promptly, it pays 10x her old one.

There's one problem when she shows up to act as a nurse for a man who's confined to a wheelchair.

He's Pee Bee's dad.

This book is funny as absolute fuck. Comedic to the point of pants-peeing laughter.

It's filled with such serious real-life issues that it leaves you to wonder, and then the fucking crying.

Dear GOD.

A roller coaster ride of a book that took me through a range of emotion that left me feeling exhausted, ROUGH is that one book that you simply must experience, not matter what.

It's funny, fun, serious, romantic, heart-warming, and gut wrenching. Equal parts of all these things.

How?

Because it's real.

Love of a father and his son, love of a nurse and her patient, love of an impossible idiot and an impossibly practical woman.

Love of the MC, brotherhood love, and love for people you really don't know.

I need a nap.

This book rocked my world.

FIVE glorious stars.

Pee Bee cares about a few things, his family, his brothers, and his bike. When a nutty girl who doesn't swear causes him to wreck his precious bike he doesn't offer any sympathy, just expects her to pay up and maybe spread her legs too. When the same girl shows up to care for his ailing father he has no faith, but with a quick show of strength Tegan pushes her way into his life. Pee Bee's father, Brad, brings about a change in Tegan and over time in Pee Bee too. Brad's wisdom and relationship with Tegan causes Pee Bee to open his eyes and his heart to the girl he never expected to like as more than just another notch on his bedpost.

"I never did one thing with a woman that I was proud of. Now? Now I can’t imagine doing anything to you but treating you with respect.” He shrugged. “Give me a chance?” I stood up. “Let’s give it a try.”

The Filthy F*ckers MC may be well known and have a bit of a reputation, but the men who make up the brotherhood are much more than what first meets the eye. Take Pee Bee for example, he's the biggest guy in the MC and he doesn't take crap from anyone, but he's got a sweet heart, a ton of respect, and a family he loves. He transforms as the story unfolds, becoming a man his father is proud of as he discovers humility and grows to understand true romance and love. Tegan, the girl who kicks off this transformation, is witty, determined, and one of the funniest Hildreth heroines to date. With her beat up car, good looks, giving nature, and unyielding strength she changes the entire way Pee Bee looks at the world. The characters are easy to relate to and I felt like I was experiencing everything alongside them. Pee Bee and Tegan's relationship is anything but cliche, yet it flowed so naturally with their passion. Then there's their friends and family members, who are colorful additions to an already well-crafted relationship. Pee Bee's dad brings wisdom and hilarious dialogue, while Tegan's best friend brings out the real Tegan behind her tough exterior. I loved the brotherhood between the guys in the Filthy F*ckers MC and it was so cool to see them interacting with other MC's. For me, this book focused on relationships and how they make up a person, how each person helps form you into the man or woman that you are. It was very easy to see that this book came from Scott's heart and as a long time fan, I can agree that this is his best book.

“The same wise man once told me, when you know, you just know."

I had high expectations going into ROUGH, I mean really high expectations, and Scott Hildreth delivered above and beyond them. I loved the book from start to finish and I laughed a lot, but I also cried and had so many feelings. ROUGH is the second standalone release from Scott Hildreth's Filthy F*ckers MC series, but I highly suggest reading HARD first. The book is full of witty dialog, comedic moments, realistic life situations, and the kind of romance that makes you have butterflies. It's original, entertaining, and deserving of far more than 5 stars.

What an unexpected gem ! Read this book from beginning to end and really enjoyed the chemistry, the loyalty and family in this story. I thought I was in for a hard core MC book but really this was more about life lessons from a father to a son. Really enjoyed this ❤

*Deep breath*
I am going to try and relay what I am feeling about this book without giving away any spoilers, being as this book is very newly released.

This story for me, in a word was LOVE. The story of PeeBee and Tegan showed me that love is ALWAYS around us and that we are not truly in charge of who, how, or even when LOVE will express itself. This novel seriously taught me that we are not in charge of how people chose to express their love we are simply in charge of how graciously we receive it. No matter how unconventional the expression is…. And I am telling you Scott Hildreth made MANY things I never thought would be expressions of love work, and work in the most heart warming and outstanding way!!!

Tegan and PeeBee were characters that grew, that changed little by slow. Their love story was REAL, and for this reader I gravitate to those types of novels. I could relate to them both together and separately. I loved that they were never afraid to be who they are and at the same time respected the idea of change.

A supporting character of this novel that I absolutely was blown away by was the MC’s. There where scenes in this novel that raised the hair on the back of my neck in the most wonderful way. The brotherhood, respect and LOVE that was written into this book in the form of MC clubs was not something I can explain in a review, it is something you MUST READ and experience for yourself. And do not worry Mr. Hildreth gives you a front row seat.

The vault of wisdom…. *fanning my face trying to hold back more tears*
Every once in awhile you come across a character who pushes you to feel, see and understand life from a different perspective and Bradley Carson was that character for me, he wormed his way into my affections and planted his recliner right there in the middle of my heart.

This author expressed in the most beautiful way through the novel ROUGH that when it comes to LOVE, that we must remain open minded, honest, and willing. The journey of these characters was truly an emotional rollercoaster, for me. I can honestly say that I spent the last several days sitting at my computer laughing, sobbing, laughing again, stretched to the full-blown ugly cry, and then bonding even more with these characters when the chill bumps appeared as the laughter returned. Please do yourself a favor and read this AMAZING NOVEL today!!!
EXCELLENT JOB SD!!!
That is it, that is all I got.

What I loved:
Tegan. She might be one of my favourite heroines in all the book worlds ♥ She's so comfy in her own skin, so genuine, candid, but also thoughtful, caring, open hearted, strong, independent, and she doesn't take shit from anyone. She's just so many great things. I have so many highlighted sections for her that I don't even know which ones to show you!

Quote… I let you slide the first time you called me a bitch, back at the wreck. I felt like I owed it to you. But if you call me a bitch again, I'll drop your big ass where you stand. Quote…

description

Pee Bee. Ok, so I was in love with him after Hard, but I always thought his name was short for Peanut Butter. Who knows why I thought that. Anyway - he's aaaahhhhhh-mazing. I love me some sexy giant, and he's 6'8 so yeah - there's that. But more than that, he's so cool. I love that this is an enemies to lovers story, and he really is an asshole to her in the beginning. And for some damaged reason I find that hella sexy. Then we see them building a relationship, and I loved the way it unfolded. No insta-love here, and I was so excited by how this story focused on our characters, and didn't lean on the FFMC or manufactured, unnecessary dramas. And Pee Bee is actually such a gentleman. When he decides to step up and woo (tried to find another word, but woo fit best), holy shitballs he does it all the way.

And the vengeance. The delicious, evil, violent vengeance against that guy! I love when Pee Bee unleashes his inner demon.

Quote… If you scream or stand up while I'm walking away, I'll come back here and cut your fuckin' throat, understood? Quote…

The relationships. This is what I mean - this story was all about the characters, and their bonds with each other. Pee Bee and Bradley, Tegan and Bradley, Bradley & Deann, Crip & Cholo & Pee Bee... considering that this story deals with a really sad thing, there were so many heartwarming, happy, laugh out loud moments to be had here.

Quote… You do one thing, and I mean only one, to hurt that girl emotionally, physically, or spiritually, I'll get up out of this chair and kick your ass up between your shoulder blades. You'll have to take off your shirt to take a god damned shit. Is that understood?"
"God damn, Pop. I was just -
Quote…

Quote… You didn't have to fuck with me in front of the fellas, Crip," I complained. "Seems like you just like doing it sometimes."
"How long you been in the club, princess?"
I glared at him. "See? That was un-fucking-necessary."
- Crip & Pee Bee
Quote…

What I didn’t love:
I would have liked to know more about what Tegan's ex did. Maybe?

Also - and this isn't the author's fault at all because technically Bradley was right to play it in Scrabble, but our native tree is not called a kaury. It's a kauri. Fuck you, Websters Dictionary. If you're interested, this is a kauri - his name is Tane Mahuta and he's 2000 years old. Those little coloured blobs at the bottom of the picture are full grown humans.

Enjoyable but not real memorable. The hero was kind of a bigger jerk than he needed to be. Most interesting element of the book is that it was written by a man. Maybe that's why some of the things the hero thought were not really familiar/too crude or mean in a crude way. Hmmm. Also the sex scenes were like porno flicks, weird positions. Especially that first one. I don't think many women would be comfortable with that for the first time with a new guy. I'm thinking you need to build trust before you get up to high jinks in bed. Not only that this near stranger won't hurt you but that you trust him to be caring for you as a person not just a body he can use and that he won't laugh at you later. The hero and the heroine were not at that point yet. I might try another by this author to see if things are similar in other books.

I'm sure there are a number of readers who have their lists of go-to authors. You know what I mean, that personal list you keep in your head of writers whose books you buy without even knowing what the story is about. Scott Hildreth is one of those authors at the top of my list. Every book he writes allows me to escape into the world he's written about, and to be someone else for the time it takes me to read his words.

In Scott's books, you can always count on the leading men/women to be the kind of people you wish you had in your life. Pee Bee, Tegan and Bradley were all three wonderful characters; and each one would be someone I would be proud to call a friend.

The way Pee Bee and Tegan meet has got to be one of my favorite first time encounter scenes ever. On more than one time, I caught myself laughing out loud at something happening in this story. There were several scenes where I melted at how sweet our tough Pee Bee could be. On the outside he's this rough and tall mountain of a man who wears a MC patch and drives a Harley. He's intimidating to just about everyone except for Tegan. Thats because she's been around men like Pee Bee before, but none of the guys from her past were special or anything like Pee Bee. And once he set his sights on Tegan... swoon. Tegan is funny and sweet and also tough as nails and says exactly what she thinks. She doesn't back down and is easy to admire and respect. Bradley was an amazing character too. You'll be reading along and realize you've got a goofy grin on your face and are shaking your head at something he's saying or doing. Just as he stole a part of Tegan's heart, he did mine as well. What a great man for Pee Bee to live up to.

Overall, another great book from SH. I loved getting dual POVs allowing us to experience more from Tegan and Pee Bee. I can't wait to see whose story will be next and which world we get to escape in to. Loved it.

This is Scott’s best story to date! Scott has woven a cast of characters that come together to create an incredible story of love, devotion, family and brotherhood.

Tegan and Pee-Bee do not meet under the best circumstances, but sparks soon fly! Add in a 30 year old corolla with only one door, a cantankerous father who loves teaching life’s lessons, a gay friend who can’t seem to stay away from an abusive ex, an MC club that looks after their own and a game of scrabble and you get pure magic!

This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, so hang on tight and get ready for the ride of your life.

My day began with a plan to get things done! But, I'd started this last night and the 85% remaining was calling me hard this morning. I totally couldn't resist picking it up and by about 3pm this afternoon I finished and haven't even gotten breakfast or lunch let alone any work done!!

For me, it was even better than book 1 (and that was a 5!!) absolutely awesome story, I've laughed out loud as much as I've sobbed, with tears pouring. What a terrific book.

Thank God for Scott Hildreth, if he writes it, I'll be reading it!!

I’m loving these Mc books. They aren’t as crazy as The last Riders or as soul crushing as a Madeline Sheehan book but they definitely draw you in. There’s enough hard core stuff but with a dash of dare I say charm???
Regan is a nurse. Pee Bee- pretty boy is an ex football player turned MCc SA. He’s a giant good looking beast of a man. Regan is a tiny sassy king foo fighter. They meet when Tegan opens her door in a California traffic jam and PB is laid out when He crashes into said door. He’s furious because his bike is busted. She agrees to pay him back but is low on cash. She gets a job as a personal nurse… the patient ends up being PB’s Dad. Let the fun begin! When PB calls Tegan a bitch one too many times she Karate Kids him and knocks him on His ass. I loved the relationship between Tegan and PB’s dad and as a former nurse I I usually hate any medical drama in my books… unless it’s written by Robin Cook who I haven’t read in eons. This was good to the last page
And I’m on a roll here moving on to the next book in the series… should I mention I might actually finally read a series In order??? Time will only tell😁

Well Scott Hildreth you have done it again. Rough exceeded my expectations. You Sir, are a mastermind and I am but a player in the game. Rough was so much better than I could have ever imagined. This book brought out so many emotions in me. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not one to show my emotions easily. Well Rough made me laugh, cry, laugh, cry again, and laugh some more.

Although Rough was PeeBee's story, it was a lot more than that. It went beyond a book about an MC Club or a guy and girl falling in love. To me, it was about brotherhood, loyalty, family, honor, love, and respect.

Bradley Carson has to be the best character in this book. Despite being an old surly man, he was a man that everyone looked up to. He had his own way of doing things and his words of wisdom. He was a no nonsense kind of guy that was honorable and loving in his own way. He wanted you to learn the lessons of life and earn what you receive instead of it being handed to you. I thank you Scott for sharing Bradley with us, as I could see that he was a personal character for you. Bradley and Tegan's relationship in this book is one that everyone should strive for. It is genuine, humorous, respectful, and true. In one word.... Perfect. He came into her life when she least expected it and became someone she didn't know she needed. Amazing.

PeeBee surpassed my expectations. As with all of Scott's characters, I knew he would be phenomenal. However, I didn't know just how great he would be. His banter with Tegan was one-of-a-kind. His acceptance and protection of her friends put him on a pedestal. Wanting to be the son his father knew he could be just made him a better man in my eyes. PeeBee's character was solidified as an honorable man later in the book with the loyalty and respect that was given to him during a critical time. He may be my favorite character yet.

Society places a bad stigma on MC Clubs and what they stand for. However, Scott reminds us that family, loyalty and respect are a large part of MC Clubs. Loyalty, respect, and family came out in spades in Rough. From the bar scene, the short Run, to the anniversary party, and the respect paid to Bradley. Not all MC Clubs are straight up criminals and thugs despite their 1%er status. Many have served our country and would be the first person to defend an abused child, woman or friend. Remember that next time you hear the glorious thunder of an MC Club riding by and give them the respect they deserve. Well done Mr. Hildreth, WELL DONE.

It’s not a shocker at this point when I say that I will literally read anything Scott puts out. So when this book fell into my lap, I may have squealed like a school girl! And let me just say that while I love all of Scott’s book, this one is at the top of my favorites! There’s so much heart, and heat… not to mention the times I found myself laughing out loud. Scott knows how to write one heck of a book and this one is no exception. I loved the machoness of PeeBee, but deep down when his dad knocks some sense into him his heart starts to shine through. Tegan is a tough as nails, been through hll and back kinda girl but she’s definitely one of my favorite female characters, that I’ve read in a long time. I won’t go more into the story, so you can experience it on your own. But trust me this book is nothing short of phenomenal, like all of Scott’s books!

This was just fun to read. I can't say it was about too much. But the characters were likable and it's that kind of story that just allows you to turn your mind off and enjoy the ride.

Bonus: this features the most likable heroine!!

Quotes below, read at your own risk. I do not think it gives anything major away. But you have been warned.

Holy Mac!!! This book consumed me completely. Mind, body, and soul! This book was totally worth the wait!

Man, I am in love with Pee Bee and Tegan characters! Most might think this is just another MC book, but they would be completely wrong. This book is raw, emotional, and will completely change your mind on whatever you may think about it.

I have not cried reading a book in months. Scott pulled emotions from me that caused me to bawl like a baby. The only way I can describe it is beautifully perfect. It evoked every emotion from me.

For me, this book told the story of a man who needed love more than anything. It was beautiful how they were two pieces of a puzzle that fit together perfectly. Pee Bee did not think he would ever find a woman who would change his perception of how he viewed his life until Teagan literally crashed into him.

The moment I started reading I was chuckling at Tegan's character, she had me rolling. This girl reminded me of me and my crazy antics. She was a spunky spitfire with a heart of gold. When Pee Bee and her crash into one another I was crying with laughter. She may have been quiet but she never backed down.

"I leaned against the house and fought to catch my breath. “God d*mn, you little spider monkey. What the f$ck’s wrong with you?” <-- Funniest scene ever!!!

Tegan, Pee Bee, and Daddy Brad had me laughing . One of my favorite quotes.
"She stepped around me, took his hand in hers and smiled. “Tegan. Tegan Rassini. And, the pleasure’s mine.” “So, what was that? Tae Kwando? Karate? Ju fuckin’ Jitsu? Kung god damned Fu?” <-- This scene was perfect!

Pee Bee aka Brad's character completely floored me. I thought after book one I had him figured out. Well, I was 100% wrong. He is tough has nails but this man had a heart of gold. By chapter two, I adored him and wanted him happy. He needed someone to love him and see the real him. Not Pee Bee the man in an MC.

When Pee Bee confessed why he wanted Tegan to give him a date I swooned big time. No woman stood a chance against his raw openness.

Here is a small snippet of that scene.
"I never did one thing with a woman that I was proud of. Now? Now I can’t imagine doing anything to you but treating you with respect.” He shrugged. “Give me a chance?” I stood up. “Let’s give it a try.”

This book would have never made it without the glue and love of daddy Bradley, even if most would not think he was loving. This man just expressed it different than most. I loved his wise words that lead Pee Bee and Tegan together.

This book came full circle and I cannot wait for the next one in the series. I have a few questions I cannot wait to be answered.

Scott Hildreth is an author where you always get more than you bargained for. His books are a good time and a great message all wrapped up in one. This is the second book of the series but can be read as a stand alone. We meet Pee Bee "Pretty Boy" in the first book. He is the huge SAA of the MC. He meets Tegan when he literally rips her door off her car. Not one to back down, Tegan takes him on and shows she is not just a bunch of fluff.

This one was a bit different for me. We have romance...sort of...in that Pee Bee is attracted to Tegan and they do eventually have an HEA. But what this story is is a LOVE story. In all the name calling and crude language. In all the innuendo and ballsy bravado. It is in the end the story of the essence of what love is. All the feels for Pee Bee's dad-Bradley. He is the glue to the story and plays his role well. Through him we learn what it takes to be man--what makes life complete. His stories to Pee Bee and to Tegan wrap themselves around your heart and give a lovely squeeze.

We see some of the MC in this one. The Filthy F***kers have had a big influence on Pee Bee. But if you are expecting a typical MC book, this is not it. If you are expecting to fall completely in love with a 70 something old man--this is the book for you! The author dedicates the book to his father. If he was anything like Bradley, the world is missing a true gem! Thank you for sharing this character with us.

Overall a touching, wonderful story! Looking forward to meeting more of the FFMC brothers as the series progresses.

Jesus jumped up Christ! READ IT! Just READ IT!

4.5 Filthy Fucking Stars.

I loved this so much. I was constantly laughing out loud, which doesn't happen with most books for me, AND I became emotionally attached to the characters..

So...What does that mean? Well I fucking laughed with them, cried and felt their pain as if it were my own.

The positive messages this book puts out too.. It makes you kind stop, think and maybe review/revise parts of your life. I mean it's not THAT DEEP but it does have a few soul searching moments.

ANYWAY -.5 why?
Well...with an MC read I expect a certain level of action. I know it's not realistic that it's all shoot em up, chases and explosions...but... *shrugs* This didn't really carry any of that.... ALSO for being "filthy" well they aren't very filthy.

WHATEVER! ROUGH still ranks towards the top on my list of Scott Hildreth reads...

I could go on and on..

S.O.S.

First, let me say this: OMG...this book was SO worth the wait!! After waiting (im)patiently, this story is EVERYTHING!! As much as you fall in love with Pee Bee, you'll fall in love with his ornery ol coot of a dad more. He had me laughing out loud and then ugly crying. Bradley's words of wisdom are gems we should all take to heart. Pee Bee is cut from good cloth, for sure.
When we meet our hero heroine, we kind of wonder if he'll survive the meeting. When they meet again, we wonder the same thing. This story starts out fast-paced and doesn't slow down a bit. You'll be flipping pages like a mad woman (or man) to see what happens next in this whirlwind love story of Tegan and Pee Bee and it will leave you breathless. The characters show so much growth over the span of the story and the beauty of it is awe-inspiring.
If there was ever a must-read book, this one is it!

100% drama free, ooey-gooey romance. I think it's an MC themed story just to give Brad the excuse to curse like a sailor with Tourettes. I liked it, don't get me wrong, but the MC played an extremely minor role in this story compared to others I've read.

The dad, Bradley, was THE BEST part of this book. I love my dad, but I would have also loved having Bradley as my father. Awesome guy! Tegan was fine, though her character could have been a bit more developed.

I almost DNF'd it near the beginning because Brad wasn't a likeable character AT ALL but he got his head out of his ass pretty quickly. Glad I stuck with it.

Given the next book's blurb, I believe this is the only story from this series I have any interest in. But it works well as a stand-alone so I'd definitely recommend it.

ROUGH made me feel so good! I have been a long time reader of Hildreth's books. I have to say (and yes it sounds almost like a broken record) but his books each get better and better, and Rough is no exception! Tegan and PeeBee are a dynamic and engaging pair, with everything through the book leading up to a HEA that just makes you feel good! Don't miss this incredible story full of the FEELS.

Holy book hangover!!! I spent the first half of the book laughing by butt off and the second half ugly crying and all that mixed in with some serious swooning! If you haven't read this book you need to!!! It can be read as a standalone and is definitely worth the read.

I have fallen in love with Scott Hildreth Biker MC series its awesome! The book "Rough," was amazing to read. You get to learn about PB a enforcer of the biker group he has his bike hit and crashed by a young spunky lady, Tegan well she opened her door in traffic and he ran into it LOL. she is a spit fire a woman who had to grow up a hard life with a tough heart. Someway or another these two find a connection and fall in love. Read the great story to find out about them!

Oh my God, if I thought I loved Scott Hildreth's heroines before I was wrong, Tegan just jumped to the top of the list of badass chicks.
Her first meeting with Pee Bee is a complete disaster, she destroys his bike and he's not thrilled with her.
She has no money to pay him but quickly finds a well paying job that should quickly remedy that.
Until she knocks on the door an comes face to face with the man himself.
This doesn't go well, he doesn't want her taking care of his father and has no issues telling her so.
He's got a very low opinion of her which she quickly remedies. (This is truly my favorite part of this book!)
Tegan is pretty laid back. She's the opposite of Pee Bee in most ways, she doesn't curse and every other word out of his mouth is filthy, she doesn't date bikers and that's what he is so when their attraction becomes clear there are some things to work through. Luckily Lex is pretty accepting of people just as they are so she doesn't expect him to be someone he's not but she also won't be someone she's not so if you want her you take her as she is, quick witted snarky mouth an all.
These two are at each others throats more than not and it's enjoyable as hell to read.
I absolutely love these two together, I'm pretty sure they may be my favorite couple yet.
And the evolution of Pee Bee. That was pretty amazing to watch. Seeing him grow basically and become a man, well a real man under his father's guidance. That's my second favorite part of this book.

Rough is a bit of a lighter story than Hard was, yea Tegan has a past but it's not as dark as Peyton's. She really doesn't have anything to get over other than her distrust of bikers. She's completely amazing from her ability to cut a man down with her words to her spider monkey routine. The end broke my heart but I knew it was coming so it wasn't exactly a shock but I did cry during the last chapter or two damn you Scott Hildreth, that's twice now.

Best couple yet, well in this series at least. These two will be hard to top!

Scott Hildreth does it again, with the continuing story of more of the Filthy F*uckers MC.
LOVE IT!!!! and I want more and more!

PeeBee had been with the MC for many years, always the lovable guy that thought women were good for a good time and then sent them packing, until he had a freak accident on the 5 in California. Splitting the lanes as motorcycles are allowed to his crew went ahead of him and he was bringing up the rear.

Tegan, struggling to survive, just graduated nursing school, her car is a "gem" with the AC working and sitting on the 5 in traffic for hours. She was roasting. She had seen the bikes roar by, while she was trying to cool down. She opened her door for some air hoping it would help, once she did she heard another bike...BAM she couldn't get her door shut fast enough and PeeBee went flying down the road, the bike on it's side and him rolling. That is the beginning of a fun ride with these two.

PeeBee is sharp, fast witted...Tegan faster witted and trying to find a job. She lands a dream job she thinks taking care of a man that was home bound.
Surprise in both their eyes as they meet again at the man she is too take care of home, PeeBee dad!!!

Their banter between each other, his father encouraging things with his words of wisdom. You see so much happening in this book. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait until the next one comes out about the next member of the club.

This book has so many surprise, yet you can sort of expect them to happen. You will still hear from Peyton and Crip of you read Hard the beginning of this series you know their story. Increase their story by 50% on the things that happen and you get PeeBee's story.

It's a HEA it could be read as a standalone but I don't recommend that. Read HARD first :)
I do highly recommend this book/series as Scott Hildreth tells it in a way you won't forget ;)

“Figure if I’m an asshole, people won’t care so much when I’m gone.”

As soon as I read that line I knew what was to come would be the end of me. The tears fell as I remembered my Papa. I heard his voice in everything that Bradley Carson said. I heard his convictions, and his fierce love for his wife, his desire for me to be happy and the life lessons I learned from him. I heard him calling my future husband of years “that old prick” when he would call me on the phone. I remembered how he would be so tough that you either loved him or thought he was a complete ass.
But oh he could love you… Love you so fiercely and hard that you can’t help but love him back. Love you so much that even twenty years later the hole that was created the day he left me has never been filled…
Hildreth says this book is his best yet. I tend to agree with him. The place from which this story came is a place of love and grief and it is so raw at times that I just sat with my fingertips to my lips while the tears streamed down my cheeks. I get it… I get the feelings. I got the message...loud and clear.
Every Hildreth book has some piece of him inside and I think this one is no different. I believe that is why I love his writing so much. There are ripping one liners that had me chuckling out loud and of course I was intrigued by Pee Bee’s signature “move,” but unlike other author’s work, the sex doesn’t drive the plot of the story. It isn’t even truly necessary.
What is necessary is reading this book and putting yourself in the characters shoes and experiencing what they feel...play the Scrabble... carry the piss bag… eat the meatballs… in the end, you’ll be glad you did….

Rough is Hot!

If you're strolling through the reviews of Rough by Scott Hildreth stop now…. there's no need to continue and if you have never read one of his books then you need to grab this one! Well, book one first (Hard) then this one and before you start this series, grab a box of tissue, a tall drink, and make sure you have nothing to do for the rest of the day! FYI believe me I did not want to stop reading this book! ❤

I have no clue where to start. I went into this book thinking this was gonna be your typical MC book with 6 ft tall alpha male that is sexy as sin..*fanning myself** PeeBee with mouthwatering sex scenes but that was the first mistake I made….because we know how Scott is and he is not your typical author. In this book we meet PeeBee and Tegan aka Crash, the chemistry these two character have will blow your mind (Like Literally)...but we also meet a man name Bradley. I believe Bradley was a major part of this story because without Bradley we would not learn how a game of Scrabble can change your life forever; how two complete opposite people can make each other whole; and how having chemistry with each other can make a scene so much hotter.

Then when your done reading this book and you are feeling like you just went on a roller coasters ride with your emotions and you want more.....you are like "why the hell did he stop there!!" Well we have name for that and it's called the #HILDRETHHANGOVER!
