A heartfelt, flirty romance that is virtually unputdownable. This awesome series is a must-read!
Tell Me How This Ends is one of my favorite books ever - I was totally engrossed in the love triangle between brothers Ryan and Jude and sweet Lizzie. I ADORED it and was so excited to read this new book. It's wonderful that I didn't have to wait too long to read this one and it was a really great second installment.
We first met Jeff and Sam in the last book and both were interesting characters so I was looking forward to reading their story. Jeff is Lizzie's sister and Sam is Lizzie's roommate.
Jeff is the quintessential nice guy - raised to respect and protect women and he is pretty perfect boyfriend material. However, he seems to keep attracting the wrong type of girl and he allows himself get attached too easily and finds himself settling in relationships that are not right for him. His parents also exert a lot of pressure on him, not always intentionally, but he feels the weight of their expectation and that has driven a lot of his past decisions. He wants to break the mold so he moves to be near Lizzie, taking a job in a VC firm.
Sam has been burned by love and she has refused to enter into a relationship since her ex, the first guy she loved, betrayed her with her ex-roomie. So she throws herself into her medical studies and enjoys the odd hook-up. Now, Lizzie is all loved-up and nagging her about sorting out her love life, but Sam doesn't want to get involved in anything when she will be leaving soon to train as a doctor.
Jeff had visited a few months back and the chemistry between these two was electric! Now that he is back in town, Sam isn't sure she can resist him but she's determined to try. After lots of sparks fly, they agree on a 90-day pact - to have a non-relationship for the period Sam has left in town and they agree they won't fall for each other. Ha! Best laid plans and all that!
Jeff was great - a great non-bf and a great brother and it was easy to swoon over him. Sam was such a strong, resilient character but so vulnerable at the same time. Her family had me in stitches and the scene where they greet Jeff naked having just stepped out of their hot tub was hysterically funny, as was the naked, stoned, drumming session - I laughed my head off at the visual in my head.
The romance was sweet and sexy and not without its ups and downs. I was so glad our couple got their HEA in the end and they both deserved it.
I loved that we got plenty of scenes with Lizzie and her beau (no spoilers here) and it was great to see them as a couple and moving in together. Aw, shucks, be still my heart.
The writing is superb and it flowed really well. While it didn't have quite the same intensity or that extra special magical quality/vibe that book one had it was still a very entertaining read.
Chapter one of the next book was included at the back of this book and it has me squealing with excitement. It's the other brother's story (the one who didn't get the girl) and I'm anticipating lots of angst and turmoil and my drama-loving heart can hardly wait!!
I would highly recommend this to readers who enjoy well written new adult contemporary romance with strong character and emotional development.

Okay, it’s official: Victoria de La O makes me feel so much with her words!
Lesson nº. 2? I need to stop being surprised by how good her books are. It happened with Tell Me How this Ends, and now with Tell Me Not To Go. And since the first book was so, so, so good, I kind of came into this one thinking "okay, I'll like this just as much". Well, I was sort of wrong because.... guess what?
I loved TMNTG even more.
Maybe that’s a result of how much I connected with Jeff’s storyline involving his family, or with Sam’s take-no-shit attitude, or just because the chemistry between them was so amazing….Probably all of that and a little more. All I know is that this book spoke to me in ways TMHWE didn’t--and that’s saying a lot considering how well-written that first book was.
Tell Me Not To Go is the story of Lizzie’s BFF and brother, Sam and Jeff. If you don’t know who Lizzie is, please do yourself a favor and grab a copy of Tell Me How this Ends. You can thank me later.
Sam and Jeff met in the last book and their chemistry was off the charts from moment one. Now, Jeff is coming to live closer to his little sister, which means he’s going to be spending a lot of time around Sam. She isn’t all that happy, because she realizes how dangerous Jeff can be to her heart. As a woman on a mission—she’s leaving soon to go to med school—Sam doesn’t want anything or anyone holding her back.
That’s all rational, mature and smart of her. Except her body doesn’t want any of that. It wants Jeff. All of him. And how could she not want him? Jeff, ladies and gentleman, is a beta/alpha male hybrid at its best. Dude is nice, understanding, listens to what his woman has to say, but still knows what he wants, where and when. Plus, he's a 8 out of 10 in bed. It's safe to say, with all of that, even I want him, too.
Jeff wants Sam. As simple as that. Everything about her appeals to him. She's so different from the other women he dated in his past. Women he couldn't see in his future no matter how hard he tried, because, no matter how nice they were, he still wouldn't fall in love with them. Well, if you ask me, he should’ve known being with Sam would be a completely different experience. She spoke her mind, she had fire and she was incredibly smart. Jeff stood no chance, and he probably knew it.
After trying and failing to ignore their chemistry, Sam and Jeff come to an agreement. 90 days of incredible sex until she has to leave. But there’s a big rule there: they can’t fall in love.
That was when I laughed out loud and said “okay, kids, let’s get this party started, because we all know how it’s going to end.”
No worries, though. Knowing they’d fall madly in love didn't take away from the experience. Victoria de La O made sure I felt everything there was to feel with every step.
I fell hard for Sam and Jeff. I breathed their chemistry. I experienced their angst when their feelings started to get too real. I panicked when they did. I was jealous of everyone who got near them. I laughed when they did, and teared up when they cried. I cheered when Sam gave not-capitalist-but-not-communist speeches. I rooted for Jeff when he confronted his parents and tried to live a life that would make him happy, regardless of his family's expectations. I swooned hard. I took a shower when they had hot, sexy scenes. I cursed Victoria de La O for making me feel so much.
I also praised her for writing Jeff’s relationship with Lizzie the way she did. Or for how she gave us scenes between Lizzie and Jude that reminded me of why I loved the first book that much. Or how Sam’s friendship with Lizzie made me want to meet them in real life, and Sam’s relationship with her eccentric family made her even more unique. And, of course, for how she gave me Sam and Jeff, and the perfection that was the two of them together.
And in case you're wondering if Jeff and Sam find a solution to their problem, rest assured this story ends on a high note. The ending is great and right and brings you all sorts of feelings. Good feelings.
Bottom line, judging from how many variations of "My heart can't take this" I left on my Kindle notes, this book hurt and felt so good at the same time. It was just about everything I wanted and a little more. So, whether you liked this author's first book or not, I'd still advise you to read this one. Tell Me Not To Go will stay with me for a long time.
P.S.: Victoria, I read that excerpt for the next book and I see you're a woman after my heart. I suspect Ryan's book is going to break me, but MY BODY IS READY!
I need to find a way to get out of this cafe, but it’s like I’m that girl about to get axed in a horror movie: I’m frozen. Right now, anyone watching me would be screaming, ‘Run bitch!’ And they’d be right. But I’m not myself right now.
I am, without a doubt, the good guy. The one you want to bring home to Mom... But Sam looks at me like I’m the husband that’s going to screw the nanny – like I’m unpredictable and a tad dangerous. No one has ever looked at me that way before. It’s so annoying, and so incredibly hot.
I’m pretty sure I attract cheaters, the way an NBA player attracts skanks.
My dad’s version of sex ed was throwing condoms at me when I was sixteen and telling me to use them – every single time.
There is so much sagging flesh. I know it’s normal. I know I’m supposed to think it’s beautiful – to appreciate nature. All I’m thinking about is that I better get my ass to the gym more often, because my clock is ticking and nature is cruel.
My Review:
I adored this cleverly written and delightfully amusing book and smirked, snorted and barked with laughter as I read. The characters were adorably flawed, endearingly drawn, and smartly written. This was my first experience reading Victoria De La O’s crafty words, but I hope to make this a habitual exercise. The storyline was relevant and entertaining with sparkles of humorous and insightful details, witty banter, clever snark, and soul touching observations. I need more of this in my life!
After reading Tell me how this ends there was no chance I wasn't going to read Tell me not to go. This story is about Jeff and Samantha who met in the first book.
Victoria's writing is so good that you feel every word as if you're part of the story. I was worried this book would fall short for me after reading the first one boy was I wrong cause I liked this one even more.
Jeff is just to sweet for his own good. Write down what you want in a man and it's probably him him but, he choice in woman is questionable to say the least, lol.
Sam was so burned by her ex boyfriend she doesn't want any entanglements and only focuses on school.
The chemistry between Sam and Jeff is fierce and they both know there's not much they can do about it but, give into what they think a no strings attached quick fling. Which obviously never works out that way, lol.
This was a sweet, funny & low angst read. I look forward to reading more from Victoria in the future.
I voluntarily reviewed a arc of this book via NetGalley
This is book two in the series. While it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading book one first to get background information on the characters.
Jeff is moving from Utah to California to be closer to his sister and distance himself from his parents. In no time at all, he finds a job and starts building a life for himself there. But that doesn't come without any obstacles. Enter Sam. She's his sister's roommate, one he happened to kiss during the first time they met. Once he sees her again, he wants to pick up where they left off.
Sam has a plan for her future. She's finishing her four-year degree then moving on to medical school. Having a relationship with Jeff was never part of the plan, but they agree to keep things casual. No long-term commitments are made knowing she's moving away once she graduates. But Jeff is different. She enjoys being with him and realizes how hard it will be to end things.
Jeff and Sam navigate through the time they have together, waiting for the day to come when their casual relationship must end. What happens if they fall for each other? Will they still be able to part ways?
I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Jeff and Sam was great. There were points I wanted to scream at them both, but that made me more invested in the story. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Book received in exchange for an honest review. Reviewed on behalf of Once Upon An Alpha.
I feel like I need to state that even though this isn't listed as a second installment to a series, this is indeed the second book following "Tell Me How This Ends". Do you "need" to read it first or in order? Nah, but I think you'd appreciate some of the banter that flows between secondary characters as well as understanding a little more of the dynamic between brother and sister, etc...
For those who have read the "first" book, Sam is Lizzie's BFF and roommate. The one that got her heart completely ripped out while she watched her boyfriend have sex with someone else in her bed. Yep. That one. To say that she's having issues getting over the fact that she blames herself for giving up so much to be with someone like her ex is an understatement. The armor around her heart is so thick. But when the one person who makes her heart beat again temps her, there might just be a crack. One that only gets bigger and bigger the longer she's with him.
Jeff is Lizzie's brother. The one from Utah who appears to be perfectly nice and every parents dream husband for their daugher. But that's not really who Jeff is, at least not to Jeff. He's the guy who's always reliable, doing what everything knows he'll do because he's the good guy. Well...he's ready to change that image and himself by moving to California and starting new. There's just one issue. Sam. She's the total opposite of what he usually likes in a girl, but she's so far under his skin, he can't seem to help himself. Knowing that she's not in to a commitment, a 90 day challenge is issued and it seems to be the perfect fit...for both of them...at least, it sounded perfect. Until it isn't.
No disrespect to the author, but the blurb doesn't do this book justice. This book is so much more than a 90 day challenge between two consenting adults. It's about not being afraid to love again, or at all for that matter. It's about stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something new. About letting your guard down enough to let someone in so that they can truly see you. (Sigh) This book is beautifully written and takes us through a journey that many of us are too afraid to embark on. So sit back and enjoy the ride, because it's a amazing one.
*I received this book from the Jeep Diva in exchange for my honest opinion.
I gotta say this book blew me away! I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started reading it but what I got was a story full of emotion and characters that touched my heart. I just realized that this is actually the second book in the series so now I need to go grab the first one, not because I need it to understand this story but because I NEED to read Lizzie and Jude's story. In this one Samantha and Jeff's story. Sam is just a few months away from leaving for med school and Jeff is just starting a new job. Neither wants to start a relationship right now but the attraction between them is intense. They make a deal that a fling for a specified period of time is the best way to go. Best laid plans and all that!!
I personally enjoyed the book....I really loved what the book stood for and felt it was really well written, it is apart of a 3-book series, "TELL ME" but can also be read as a stand-alone book. It tells the story of the female main character, Sam and the male main character, Jeff switching between the viewpoints of both characters.
Sam, is a smart, independent woman, who had suffered heartbreak with her ex. Sam plans on finishing her four-year degree then moving on to medical school.
Jeff, Sam's roommates' brother changes that when he stays in their apartment. She doesn't plan on having a relationship with him, but they agree to "no strings" until she graduates in "90 days". Will they be able to part ways??
I would recommend "TELL ME NOT TO GO" to everyone who enjoys a good romance
For what [I believe] is only her second book Victoria De La O is quickly developing into not only a thoughtful and intelligent romance writer but also one of my favorites. TMNTG was another great read. It didn't have the same emotional resonance [until the end] that part 1 does but that's just fine. Sam and [a very swoon-worthy] Jeff are on a very different path than the characters of TMHTE, so this story goes its own way. It's quite a bit funnier [loved the Santa Cruz scene with the parents] and more biting too. I liked that though it was the same universe, but it all felt new again. Highly recommend.
Tell Me Not To Go is the second book in a series, but it can be read as a standalone. Told from alternating first person present tense POV it gives us the story of Sam and Jeff. It’s intense and intimate, but as there are no dramatic backstories, it never gets overpoweringly angsty or melodramatic. Both characters are likeable and I especially enjoyed how overly considerate and nice guy Jeff learns to regard his own wishes and preferences as important. Tell Me Not To Go is Victoria De la O’s second novel, but it reads as if it were written by an well-established author. Unfortunately, there are a few inconsistencies, and I thought the pacing was a bit slow in places, but apart this points, this is a solid contemporary romance.

Like the first book I really enjoyed this book about Jeff and Sam.
We meet Jeff and Sam in the first book and during their first encounter sparks flew. You could feel the sexual tension between the two of them even though things seemed like they hated each other. It was a great start to a love/hate relationship. When Jeff moved to San Jose things between Jeff and Sam pick right back off where they left, but they both never thought that what they started would ending up changing both of them and becoming an intense need. The relationship between them was passionate, intense and romantic. There was many swoon worthy and laugh out loud moments.
It was hard not to fall in love with both characters. Sam had such a spunk to her, always saying what is on her mind. Jeff is so sweet and protective, the guy that every girl wants. They were very much different, but the connection between them was real and they were made for each other. Reading it all fall apart was really heartbreaking but glad that everything works out in the end. I hope this is not the last we read about them and they make appearance in the next book.
Loved the little teaser for the next book, I can't wait to finally read Ryan's story!!!
I feel like I just had a good ride on the crazy train called "Love". Seriously, I enjoyed following Jeff and Sam as they developed their sense of self and took emotional risks in all the right places. Also, their romance was smokin' hot and that's the fun of it, yes? I loved all the characters and appreciated getting to know them so intimately. While this is a simple story about everyday people falling in love, the emotional insight and humor elevate it to an epic romance.
*****3.5 Stars***** Sam and Jeff's story is great! It was easy to dive into and I kept rooting for them until the very end of the book. A quick, fun, entertaining read that would be perfect for a plane or beach read. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
A tantalizing and exciting look at love, in the new romance by Victoria De La O in "Tell Me Not To Go".
It's a little bit steamy, a little bit alluring, a little bit humorous and a whole lot sexy in the second installment "Tell Me Not to Go". The series, "Tell Me" starts to really heats up when Lizzie's brother comes to stay. Jeff Price, is looking to start a new life, and take a break from his relationship rut, where he continually finds himself with the same women who have his life all worked out for him. But what Jeff didn't expect was for the impact Samantha would have on him. Samantha, like Jeff, doesn't want to get involved in a relationship, but for different reasons. She wants to stay independent and fulfill her career dreams. So what could go wrong with a compromise of having a fling before Samantha sets off to med school. From the start, together they are explosive, feeling things they never thought possible. So isn't it all meant to be fun? With neither wanting to be committed, why is it so hard to say goodbye? And will wither of them be strong enough to say the magic words "Tell Me Not To Go"?
The lead characters, flaws on all, make it easy to invest in their stories. Both Jeff and Samantha, both show a fragility that everyone has felt at some time when it comes to love. While the lead female Samantha is a college student, she shows a maturity above dorm room antics and parties. Most captivating, is that as the characters continue to grow and develop, and their stories become inter-woven, each begin in assisting the other to overcome their fears they are struggling with.
From the cover page with the title, "Tell Me Not to Go", with an alluring couple walking hand-in-hand, to a plot that captivates from the start, this installment has it all! Victoria De La O is a master of making a story come alive, with characters that can be related to and a fiery and fun plot. The raw emotions and feelings that are constantly shown, add the extra level of depth that makes this a stand out romance. It will have you reading to the very end on the edge of your seat to see if either of them have the strength to say "Never Let Me Go"!
"Tell Me Not To Go" is a stand out 5 star read, and I can't wait to see what Victoria De La O has next install. This book, even though part of a series, this is the first book I have read by this author, and can be easily read alone. I recommend this book for all romance readers, especially those who are looking for a fun and intoxicating read.
I received an Advanced Reading Copy for an honest review and with that got indulged in the "tell me" series. I absolutely loved book one and couldn't put it down, so was curious what book two had in store for me.
I was instantly in love with Victoria's writing style again, loved the reappearing characters from the first book and the idea of finding out more about some of the already known side characters. Sam is a great, genuine, close to my heart heroine that means well but has been burnt before. Jeff is a nice, "everybody likes him", he pleases everyone kind of guy that wants to spice up his life and change things around a bit. You gotta like him instantly.
Their story is nothing new, nothing exotic, nothing with a crazy plot twist that comes unexpected and keeps you guessing for weeks after, but this book gave me everything us romance novel fans love. It's easy to read, its wonderfully positive, has the right vibe, jittery feelings, butterflies, heartache and the happy ending. Victoria has a way with words, she makes you love the main characters as much as their families and best friends instantly. She gives her stories great depth by explaining their upbringing, ethical backgrounds and life choices as well as bad experiences in the past without boring the hell out of the reader who just wants to read more steamy bedroom scenes. Everything she writes about is captivating and everything seems like a super important part of the puzzle to be revealed. She has definitely made her way into my hopeless-romantic-heart and she is an author I will keep following from now on.
This second book is just as good as number one even if more predictable, but not less interesting. It is chick lit at it's best and very entertaining at that!
I can't wait for book three to be released next month to find out what happened to Ryan after his return from Japan and read more about Lizzy and Jude, and Sam and Jeff and where their lives take them.
3,5 stars rounded up. Tell Me Not To Go is the second book by Ms DeLaO and the second book in a series (although Goodreads doesn't label it that way), sequel to Tell Me How This Ends. It's the story of the best friend and brother of the heroine of the first book.
The writing is as solid and fresh as in the first book, but the plot and conflict aren't as superb as in that first book. But let's face it, hardly any plot ever will be able to top that superbly executed love triangle.
That said, I can also see where the story could have been better. For example by not problemizing the reaction of the sister/best friend (they didn't have any reason to doubt); by giving a little more flesh to their dislike to each other (that was resolved very soon); scratching the part where they had kissed previously (it added tension, but I would have preferred to have the tension grow through more dislike).
The suporting cast was great, especially the hippy parents of the heroine, although at times it felt as if the side plots (the colleagues) only functioned to add drama, the kind that fueled partly silly misunderstandings.
The ending was sweet, but the solution also a little bit predictable.
So it's a solid romance that, to me, especially compared to the first book, fell a little flat. That said, the latest book in the trilogy will be a book about the third wheel of book 1, and I can't wait.
I am hooked on this series. Smart characters, hot dudes who are more beta than alpha, but know when to go alpha-y.
Jeff is the brother of Lizzie, the heroine from book one. Sam, is Lizzie's BFF and roommate. Jeff and Sam had some chemistry in book one, but nothing happened. Their story begins when Jeff moves to California to get a fresh start in life. Lizzie is heading off to med school soon and doesn't want to get involved in a serious relationship. Jeff is kind of addicted to settling for the person in front of him, even if it isn't passionate. He doesn't want to get serious either, he has some bad relationship habits to break.
They begin a casual, sexual relationship that quickly blossoms in to a much deeper emotional connection and relationship. And I loved every single moment of it. This book is angsty, but it isn't overly drawn. It is appropriately angsty for some 20 somethings that fall in love and then let themselves think that they don't deserve that love on a long term basis. Of course they come to their senses and figure it out.
This is the first book I've read by this author and what an introduction! This is book two in the Tell Me series but can be read as a standalone although I'd recommend reading How This Ends, which I had to jump in and read after reading this. This book first had me hooked by the blurb! It really was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and really didn't disappoint. I loved Sam and Jeff as characters and thought their banter was hilarious and their chemistry was hot! There was no huge unnecessary drama which was good too. This was a good heartwarming easy and fun read that I'd recommend. I can't wait to see what's next from this author.
I received a copy of this book for an honest review. I loved the heroine Sam and her kick as personality and I loved Jeff and his sincere but kind of alpha attitude. They don't write heroes like him anymore. I loved the dynamics between the relationships developed in the book, but I didn't really like how they ended their relationship for no reason, other than they could not compromise. In conclusion this was a sweet but passionate love story, and I can see myself picking another book by this same author.
Tell Me Not To Go by Victoria De la O I received this book from the Author (via the New Adult Book Club on Goodreads) in exchange for an honest review. This book is a fun and flirty Romance. I have never read a book by this Author, and I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. This is the second book in the series, but is a perfect standalone read. This book is cleverly written and delightfully humorous. The characters are well constructed and delightfully flawed. A quick, fun and absolutely delightful read.
this is a second book in this series both can be read as stanadlones, I personally havnt read the first book and got the story line fine. Jeff and Samantha had a great flirty banter going on and were great main characters. I'm now going to dive into the first book because I enjoyed this one. I volunteered to read a copy of this book
It was nice but a little more character and story development could have made it better. I know that the story is predictable but it did not have that factor to keep me hooked, took me a while to finish.
Second book in a series about connected characters. I’d not read book one but that’s OK as each novel is a stand alone one.
Jeff and Sam, cute couple, both burned by past relationships, and don’t want another right now. Jeff has become something of a player in his new found freedom, while Sam has simply sworn off men, vowing her career will come first.
They’re a sweet couple, feel very genuine and I liked them both. They liked each other too when they met, very much so. Jeff is Sam’s flatmate’s brother so it was inevitable they’d meet sooner or later. They can’t ignore the sexual pull between them, that string of lust that keeps tugging them. What to do though when neither want a relationship? Well, they’ve ninety days til Sam leaves for her next training stint on her way to becoming a doctor. A no-strings affair strikes them as a sensible answer, they’ll have some hot and sweaty sex, lots of fun and games, neither will all in love, so no feelings get hurt, no hearts get broken. What was that? How can a person stop themselves from falling in love? Exactly!
You just know what’s coming, and to that end the novel was pretty predictable. There’s no big twists, no great dramas but a series of little side plots that show how they both fall in love but hide it, even from themselves for a while. Being alongside them its easy to see why they fell for each other, they are both really good people, share ideas and adventures, respect each other – in short they’re Good People, but all good things come to an end and the ninety days are up far too soon....
Its a fun read but pretty easy to see what’s going to happen, and there are few surprises along the way, with the story running along on well used lines. I enjoyed it OK, but its not one I’d reread. There's nothing new here, nothing exiting. Great characters who are really believable but the plots is just that bit too bland IMO. Its a simple, one-off easy read, a relaxing romance for those times when you don’t want anything too challenging to read, just a simple tale with a HEA..
Stars: Three, a little mundane in plot but well written, with some serious sensuality

TELL ME NOT TO GO by Victoria De La O was an amazing read, it is the second book in the series and I fell that it is most beneficial to have read book one first before reading this book, as the characters and story line from book one crosses over to this one.
This is Jeff and Sam (Samantha) story and it will pull at your heart strings and rooting for a happy outcome. Sam is set to graduate from university and head off to med school, she has not had a relationship in a while when she caught her boyfriend in bed with her roommate. Jeff is leaving his hometown and headed to a new job in Silicon Valley, when he gets there he will be staying with his sister and her roommate (Sam) in their dorm room till her finds a place of his own. Sam and Jeff have met once before, when he came to visit his sister, where Sam and Jeff shared a heated lip lock.
Sam and Jeff are spending so much time together that they find it hard to resist the attraction they have to one another and they end up sleeping together and when its amazing Sam comes up with the idea for them to see one another until the time that she graduates and heads off to med school, this is a recipe for disaster. This relationship is to last 90 days, what will happen once Jeff and Sam get to the end of that 90 days???
TELL ME NOT TO GO by Victoria De La O was a very emotional and at times nail biting story, and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series, this new author is quickly becoming one of my must read authors. I would give TELL ME NOT TO GO 4/5 stars
When I saw this book was available and I read the synopsis, I immediately fell in love and knew I HAD to read this book. I dived in the minute it hit my kindle. A couple chapters in and I went to see what else Ms. De La O had written and I found Tell Me How This Ends. I'm sure you're figuring out that I bought that and devoured it in a few hours. I did this because everything I saw said that while Tell Me Not To Go could be a standalone, the story would be so much more enjoyable if I read Tell Me How This Ends first. And this is SPOT ON!!
The supporting characters in TMHTE are our H/h in TMNTG. And I loved watching Jeff and Sam fall in love in this book. They're flirty, sexy and have chemistry that's flying off the pages. I so enjoyed reading the words Ms. De La O gave us for these two. Jeff in all his alpha ways had me swooning. He's a man that knows what he wants and he wants Sam and nothing is going to stop him from getting what he wants!
This is the kind of book that you can sit down, relax and fall in love with the story and it's characters. My heart was beating a million miles a minute at several points but that's ok because it was beating that fast because I was SO HAPPY and IN LOVE with this book! I can't wait to get Ryan's story next!!!
I am a very lucky lady to have received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.
Before I give you my opinion, let me write a few words about the plot. Sam has had a shitty relationship that left some ugly scars. Jeff is tired of living a boring and predicted life. They really need to chill out and enjoy life, without pressure, expectations or possible heartbreaks. They meet (Jeff is Sam's best friend brother) and sparks fly. Later, they decide to have a 90 day fling. It was the perfect plan, until it wasn't. It was supposed to be fun, not the beginning of a love story.
This is my first book from this author and I loved. The book is well-written and beautifully developed. The story is not rushed and the characters grown on you. They are not perfect and that's why it is so amazing. I loved Sam's sarcasm, sass and how she fought for her future. I loved Jeff's golden heart and the fact that, even though he is not an alpha male, he could be soooo sexy and hot, leaving me breathless.
I strongly recommend this book, folks! Now I am off to read the first and the third one. Can't wait 🤗😋😆
