This Christmas, he'll show her how nice it is to be naughty.
Aiden Donovan is arrogant, rude, condescending, tall, muscled, gorgeous, and--
Cr*p. I can’t fall for him.
Sure, he's hot. Smart. Funny. He’s got the easy confidence of an older man. And sometimes the way he looks at me makes my panties spontaneously combust.
But he’s the devil. His corporation just took over Miller’s, the store where I work, and sweet old Mr. Miller is devastated by all the changes to his beloved small-town business. Especially now that Aiden’s trying to cancel our annual Christmas Festival.
I’ll always have my boss’s back--so why do I fantasize about Aiden getting me on mine?
**This is a standalone steamy romance novella with a happy-ever-after ending and no cheating!**
Lacks a bit of character depth and background from Aiden but the small town atmosphere, close community feel, the heroine not being a weak minded bimbo and the sexy times were all good.
I liked the characters and the book was OK, but I just didn't feel much of a connection between the hero and heroine. The story was more interesting in the conveyance of small-town values versus big corporations, but I just didn't get why the characters were attracted to each other at all.

Emma is a 23 yrs old and works at Miller's, she is the actual go to person for the rest of the employees. At night she is studying to get her MBA. Mr. Miller sold the store because it wasn't making enough of a profit, the company that bought it sent Aiden Donovan a sexy 38 yrs old, that becomes the assistant manager the position that Emma it's been trying to get for the longest time. The chemistry between Emma and Aiden but she is feeling that she is betraying Mr. Miller if they get together.
The reason why I gave this book 4 stars is because I wasn't a big fan of Emma she used to get on my nerves at times but other than it was good.
Emma a small town girl working on her MBA while working at the local store finds herself having to accept that she didn't get the assistant manager position because the store was bought out by a cookie cutter type store. Aiden comes to reorganize the store for 3 months just doesn't make changes in the store but Emma's life also. A quick sexy read that bring business into being personal.

A sweet but sexy story about a young woman falling in love with an older man, the man who is taking over her boss's company. A quick read with a HEA. *I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book *
This is a great Taboo Book. It has 2 Taboos interlinked. You get the older man and younger woman as well as the boss and employee relationship. We get to see bumps and hiccups along the way.
Great read. Aiden & Emma are lovely characters. So endearing. The story is exciting and fun. The writing is beautifully done and you go through the spectrum of emotions with the characters. Great book, loved it!
3.5 stars. This was really cute. And sweet. And hot. And Gods, Aiden was so sexy! I didn't always like him, but he still was frustratingly sexy. And the chemistry between Aiden and Emma was so hot.
Aiden and Emma confront each other as unduly-attracted, should-be opponents when he arrives to oversee the corporate takeover of a long-beloved small town store. Because Emma is so loyal, she has a hard time fighting her attraction to the older man, a great source of tension and conflict. Aiden is loyal, too, to his employer, to his work ethic, to his past results. But something about Emma revs his engine more than his beloved rules. Plenty of steam, and a nice secondary story/theme about seeing beyond the boundaries of the routine.
Emma knows her community, and her customers, Aiden arrives on the scene, the representative of a major corporation there to bring their small town store into the corporate fold. The quick, light read touches on leadership qualities, charisma, loyalty, and what makes a store a vital part of a community versus just another place consumers can find what they want, and balances people skills, management styles, and business bottom lines against providing both for employees and consumers.
I was gifted with a copy of this story, and chose to voluntarily review it.
4.5 stars From start to finish I enjoyed this book. I can definitely say that it is my favourite book of Mia’s so far. I loved how loyal Emma is to Mr Miller, her boss. I loved the chemistry between Aiden and Emma. I will admit that there were a few times where I disliked Aiden and wanted to tell him off. He came across as quite a bit of a scrooge, but deep down I think he was at least a bit soft hearted. This book is told in Emma’s point of view, I was hoping to have a little of Aiden’s point of view which disappointed me when it didn’t happen. This book is easy to follow and a quick and delicious read. One last thing: The storeroom scene and the dressing room scene were HOT HOT HOT.
When store that Emma has worked in for years gets taken over by a bigger chain of stores, a handsome older man called Aiden Donovan gets sent to take over the assistant managers role for three months. Although Emma is instantly attracted to the older man, she is loyal to her boss Mr Miller; he is like a grandpa to her. When Aiden starts to take away the stores traditions Emma gets so frustrated with him, when they get locked in the store room together, their frustration bubbles over and after a heated, steamy time in the store room, a relationship starts to form between the two. But when Emma learns that Aiden and his bosses have cancelled the stores traditional Christmas festival, Emma works her hardest to win the battle and get the Christmas festival. Will Emma find a way to keep the tradition of the Miller Christmas festival? Will Emma forgive Aiden and get her happily ever after?
Sweet and sexy holiday romance with an older man (Aiden) and a younger woman (Emma). Emma works in the town department store. Miller's is a family legacy passed down through the generations and Aiden has come in from the big box bad guys to help them transition to being a part of their big box family.
Emma feels a loyalty to her boss and the owner of the store Mr. Miller. He’s become like a grandfather to her and she is his biggest ally in fighting this takeover and the many changes Aiden is forcing on the store. Aiden however loves Emma’s devotion, brains, spunk and sexy elf costume, so he works on distracting her mind from the store to focus on more pleasurable ventures.
Emma sticks to her guns about the store, but does start to fall for the gorgeous, charming older man. When he goes above and beyond to prove his loyalty to Emma and the local store, she realizes that they might just have a chance at love.
Very happily ever after with a brief glimpse into their future.
Standalone. Quick, sweet and sexy holiday love story. HEA. No cliffhanger.

At 23, Emma Carson is working hard to get her MBA online. She’s worked at Miller’s since she was sixteen and hopes to fill in the assistant manager position at the store. With the retail store not doing so well financially, her boss sells the business. Mr. Corporate hottie, Aidan Donovan is filling in the role of assistant manager to assist in the smooth transition to Miller’s Hearth & Home, but he’s finding that corporate policies don’t mix well with the small town flavor. Aidan and Emma work very close together in ironing out some of the changes, and it’s proving tough to stay professional when there are sparks between them. In a small town, the only places they find private time is in store rooms, and changing rooms. Pretty steamy. Mia Madison does a great job with the older man, younger woman stories. Having said that, though My Boss’s Boss was very entertaining, serving up some steamy parts, the ending seemed rushed. I wanted more connection between Emma and Aidan. For a quick read, it’s pretty satisfying.

What a hot and steamy short story. This is the first time I read a book by this author, Mia Madison. If you like the sweet and sexy romances of an older man (38 years old) and a younger woman (23 years old) stories, then this one was done well by Mia Madison. I loved the characters of Emma and Aiden. Emma finds out that she is not being promoted but that her boss has sold his company to a larger corporation. Emma tries to help her boss fight the takeover, but to no avail. Aiden Donovan, who is arrogant, pompous, and very handsome, works for the company that bought Emma’s boss’s company. When Emma meets Aiden, she finds herself quite attracted to Aiden and the feeling is mutual with some sizzling chemistry. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.
My Boss's Boss is about Emma and Aiden. Emma has worked at Miller's Everything Store since she was a teenager and loves her job. The problem is, the store is not making enough profit to stay open, so the owner has agreed to a large corporation to come in and help him transition his store into a profitable one. The corporation sends in Aiden to help in the transition - right at Thanksgiving time.
Aiden is older than Emma, but their chemistry is immediate and undeniable. Emma has to war with her hatred for what Aiden's company is doing to change Miller's and her undeniable want for the gorgeous older man. I liked this story, but would have preferred to have some of Aiden's POV in this story. I didn't "feel" where Emma was coming from. I also would have liked for Aiden to have a little more dirty talk. I've come to expect that from Mia's stories and was a bit disappointed.
This was a surprise book for me because it was not about a couple who know each other (step anything), it was just about two adults who meet and start a romantic relationship. I found that it was a great story that was sort of holiday themed. This story contained a fresh story line, there was insta-lust but the characters needed to work through issues before it became love. It was believable and realistic. The book is 15 chapters and an epilogue all written from Emma’s point of view. The characters were mature, realistic, smart, and independent. This was a story about a 23 year old woman and a 38 year old man finding love and respect in an unlikely place. The book was well written and engaging. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
This was a great human interest story of two people with drastically different views. Besides not really knowing each other they were able to come together and learned the aspects of compromise which is probably anathema to large retail corporation. He is a fixer, she is a hometown girl. Talk about worlds collide. He is about transition into big time corporate policy and she is about the heart of not only the store but the community that is the heart of the store. Christmas is just around the corner and she is bound to see some things remain the same. However, this is definitely for those over 18. I voluntarily read this Advanced Review Copy by Madison and loved that this was so heart warming. Kudos!
When we first meet Emma, she is at work, where a handsome stranger saves her from a skateboarding menace. It turns out that he is there from the corporate office of a buisness that is taking over Miller's to help her boss from losing his business altogether. He is in his late thirties and is always traveling to help transition new businesses to the way corporate wants them to run. The characters are pretty well defined and the storyline is really cute.

This is the first book l have read from this author and l really enjoyed it.
Emma works for a small town grocery store while doing for MBA Business degree online. She is 23 years old. Aiden is 38 years old and comes to town when Miller’s grocery store is sold to a large big box store to ensure the changeover is a success. They butt heads at every turn, but sparks fly when they are trapped in a secure area. Aiden is a professional in every way, with their age difference and Emma knowing what works best for her small town, can they have their HEA?
The story revolves around a secretary with ex issues who has an office romance with her sexy boss. I thought it was well written for a quick short smutty book. I did think she was a bit of a doormat heroine which was one of the few downpoints for me in these reads.
Miller's department store has been a staple in the Layetteville community, but unknown their employees, like Emma, Miller's is struggling. That's where Aiden comes along from the HH&H headquarters to help with the transition. Aiden and Emma just can't help, but drawn to each other.
I received an advance reader's copy of My Boss's Boss by Mia Madison in exchange for an honest review! And I am so glad I did :)
