How Many Fish? My First I Can Read Book by Caron Lee Cohen. This is an excellent book for beginner readers. The pictures are very good at telling the story and there are many opportunities to count and discuss what is happening. The words are simple and repetitive which a child likes. All of my children have benefit from all reading it. They love it and I enjoyed their responses to the predicament of the yellow fish. The book will clutch the children attention because of its easy pictures and simple words. It is just brilliant way to teach little ones how to read and count.

Six little fish in the bay are disturbed when six little feet appear. Yellow fish is in danger when he is caught in a bucket. At first I thought this was a counting book because of the title but it actually has a good amount of teachable content. Possible topics for discussion: safety in numbers, natural habitats, making inferences/drawing conclusions, and author/illustrator's purpose.
It's a really fun book and I like the title. But, because it doesn't have so many pages that's why I want to give it four stars. And I like the words in it.
This book was about a little fishie got trapped under the bucket, then he got free and found his friends. I liked this book. My favorite part was when the fishie found his friends.
A nice little rhyming & easy to read book that concentrates on the colors red & yellow and the numbers six, two & one. Easy to follow along for toddlers & preschoolers.
