“Chores, chores, chores! What a bore, bore, bore!” exclaims a little girl as she dusts and vacuums her way through a laundry list of tasks—including the laundry. Salina Yoon’s exuberant illustrations match her simple, catchy rhymes. Readers will groan sympathetically through each chore to find that hard work really does pay off in the end.

Adorable and I also think chores are a bore! Especially the vroom, vroom, vroom of the vacumm. I attempt, daily, power hour cleaning sessions and then I do fun stuff the rest of day and if I need to get up and move... I dash around a do a few other things such as dishes and laundry.
We all now chores are no fun, but what about when it's all done!? This short story is about a young girl who does not like doing chores, however she realizes it is worth it in the end when she is given ice cream as a reward. This book will encourage young readers to see the importance of doing chores and how great the feeling off accomplishment can be when you work hard. Also, each page has words that rhyme so this could be another use for this book to help children understand what it means for words to rhyme.

Chores Chores Chores is a good book for kids who hate to do work around the house. It's about a little girl who doesn't like to do chores. However, in the end she sees that all her hard work was worth the trouble. She can admire the chores done. This is good for the text-set to show children the responsibility everyone has to their house.
A little girl is very frustrated by having to do all her chores. But, in the end, she is happy because it feels good to have accomplished all her tasks. This could be a nice choice for preschool storytime, because the illustrations are bright and clear and the text is simple and rhyming.
I love Salina Yoon after discovering her Penguin series, but this one was also adorable. My favorite illustration had to be "Dust, Dust, Dust. I must, must, must." and she's dusting a trophy marked 'Drama Queen'. I'm sure my beginning reader could have handled reading it herself.
Told in rhyming text with fun illustrations, this book tells the story of a little girl who just doesn't like her chores. Silly and fun this would be a fun book for storytime.
