Grace Abrahams helps ghosts who can’t move on until their problems have been solved. The ghosts she meets are attached to items found at storage locker auctions.
Vince is the ghost of a young man who is attached to a coffin. He’s confused when he appears to Grace, and can’t remember the details of his life, although he does recognise the coffin. He jokes that he might be a vampire.
His joke turns sour when his personality abruptly changes and he’s transformed into a nastier version of himself. And this version is intent on causing Grace harm.
I'm an avid fan of mystery stories. I started reading Agatha Christie novels at an early age. My favourite fiction detective is Poirot, I love his fussy ways and his attention to small details. I love the TV series, 'Murder She Wrote' and have watched every episode. I like working out who the killer is, and what the clues are.
I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, which is in the north of England. My two daughters live with me and they are understanding about my passion for mystery shows! I've now discovered 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.
I've been wanting to write my own mystery stories for years - and now I finally have.
Dead Wrong (Storage Ghost Mysteries Book 8) by Gillian Larkin may be the eighth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. This time the ghost that Grace has to deal with thinks he is a vampire half of the time which makes for some very interesting and dangerous experiences. It all starts when her brother brings home some old wood, which turns out to be from a coffin, which has a ghost attached to it. Another great mystery and boy does this one have multiple twists and turns to sort out. I love reading these stories, good mysteries, great ghost stories, and fun reads. Love them!
This book was really interesting to read. I loved the mix of vampires and ghosts—especially the ghost who loves vampires and has this intriguing dual personality, sometimes acting like a ghost. At first, that confused me a bit; I wondered why anyone would want to harm Grace before we even met a ghost like that. But as the story unfolded, I really enjoyed the happy ending, and I loved the character of Dylan and their clever business idea.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this one, especially if you’re looking for a cozy read with an autumn vibe.
The Storage Ghost Mystery series never fails to entertain me. This is book 8 and the author always manages to add some new twist to her stories. This time Grace and Pearl deal with a vampire.
Frankie, who is the brother of Grace, goes to storage units to buy items for their shop. This time he buys a truckload of wood which contains the coffin of a vampire! Along with the ghost.
Highly recommend Gillian Larkin and her interesting books!
Another intriguing short tale for Grace to solve. A young male ghost appears to have some kind of split personality. He's lovely one minute and totally evil the next. He's linked to a coffin. What does it all mean?
Loved this! Well written - as usual - and riveting. A little less enjoyable as Grace was in a lot more danger this time! Real danger. Hope that this isn't par for the course in future? I don't think my poor wee heart could take it.
The part with Grace in the comic shop made me laugh out loud! I've been there!
Excellent mystery! Grace's brother and her have a shop. But Grace can see ghosts. Her brother buys the contents of a storage locker which involves a coffin. This is where Grave meets Vincent and helps him find out how he died so he can move on. Interesting mystery which you will enjoy.
Kindle Unlimited but depending on book got them that way, as freebie, or bought them. Some were sets Storage Ghost Mysteries - The Box Set 1-5 as set 6-9 as Storage Ghost Mysteries - Box Set 2 and all should be available separately.

Grace Abrahams was unhappily standing outside in the cold. Her brother, Frankie, had organized a delivery to their shop on a Sunday morning and could not be there himself to receive it. When truck finally arrived, she saw a huge pile of lumber. Where would they put it? Why did he purchase that? She went into the kitchen to make tea for the driver and herself and talked with Pearl, her resident ghost. Pearl was staring out the window and told her to look at the ghost who came along with the wood!
While the delivery man sat down and drank tea, he let Grace move the wood by herself. A ghost gave an evil laugh and as she reached for a metal plaque, the ghost touched her hand and forced her to have a vision of his past. The ghost tried to push her into a coffin and she found herself back in the present, having fallen into the road… or rather having been pushed off the back of the truck by the ghost!
There are many twists and turns in this story. I didn’t like that Grace let people walk all over and take advantage of her. I prefer a strong female character who stands up for herself. However, Grace had a good heart and was kind to everyone, ghosts included. I enjoyed the mystery and recommend this book.
One of the best Storage Ghost Mysteries yet. It certainly was different than any of the others! When Grace has to wait for a delivery at the shop (for her brother's latest purchase) she doesn't expect to have to unload the truck herself or go into a vision or be attacked by a ghost!
The ghost in this story is unlike any other Grace has encountered. Apparently it has a split personality and one of them isn't very nice! From beginning (and thinking the truck driver was going to die on the spot!) to end (where a vampire meets his doom), this story keeps you on your toes as you try to determine who is who!
This is a short book, but exciting and certainly not a run of the mill ghost story. You won't want to miss this one!
Quick easy read. For a short story, it certainly has a LOT of suspense. The ghost that Grace is trying to help this time around seems to have a bit of a split personality. Half the time he thinks he's actually a vampire and treats Grace in a cold, nasty manner, and the rest of the time he has a kind, fairly normal personality. Can't wait to read more of these short stories.
What a departure for the Storage Ghost Mysteries. Grace's brother has been to the storage locker auctions, again. What he brings home this time has Grace embarking on one of her most unique mystery yet. Not only has she have to deal with a ghost, but a vampire. Gillian just gets better each story is better then the last.
This book was a cut above the usual with the addition of a vampire ghost; I have to say I hadn't seen that one before. This was a great little paranormal mystery of the cozy type.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. Gillian Larkin has done it again! This is a short story, but shows off her talant. Her books are not scare. They are funny. They make you smile and feel good at the end of the store.
A very entertaining read with some believable characters. The story flows well and contains an interesting surprise. This is a good addition to the series.
