This was a very exciting story! The characters faced almost non-stop danger and were constantly running for their lives. There was a painful romantic backstory between the two main characters. This emotional baggage definitely affected both Alice and Griffin and impacted the way they reacted to each other in the various situations.

The scenario of stumbling upon a dangerous marijuana farm in a remote wilderness areas is truly something that sometimes happens to innocent people. Knowing this fact made the novel feel that more realistic to me.

I loved the details regarding the river rafting scenes. The wildness of the river and the surrounding lands was clearly evident in all that the characters had to trek through. Wilderness Reunion is a nice addition to the Wilderness, Inc. series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone novel.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wilderness Reunion is the 4th and last book in the Wilderness, Inc series. I have really loved this series from start to finish and was very sad to learn that this was the last book. Just like the 3 previous books, this one did not disappoint! In Wilderness Reunion we are introduced to Alice Wilde and Griffin Slater's love story. How they found each other again after a 2 year hiatus. Alice stumbles across an illegal Marijuana farm deep in the forests of Oregon. She is seen by someone who knows her and runs for her life. She reports it to the police and a few days later finds herself being chased by someone. On the run, she runs into Griffin her former love who went away on assignment 2 years ago never to return. The two of them must work together in order for them to survive and maybe love each other again.

I loved this book! It was exciting and full of twists. I loved the big reveal at the end of who was chasing Alice and why. Elizabeth Goddard never writes a bad book. I was hooked from the very first one I ever read. I feel anyone looking for suspenseful action packed christian novels should definitely check this series out. And guess what? This book ends with an epilogue! Everyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for an epilogue. I hate when books or novels don't give a proper ending. LOL I love how she included an epilogue that tied the whole series together. I admit to shedding a tear or two. Do yourself a favor and read the whole series. You won't regret it! I'm still waiting for it to be picked up for a movie series or a tv series. LOL Did you hear that hallmark channel?? =)

Wilderness Reunion is the last book in the Wilderness, Inc. series. If you haven't read the first three, I highly encourage you to start now!
This has been a really wonderful series for me from the beginning to the end. Do you like mystery? Suspense? Action? Romance? Character-driven storylines? No need to choose one or two here - the Wilderness, Inc. series has it ALL covered!
We've met Alice Wilde in the previous stories; now it's her turn to shine. As Alice is guiding a hike in the woods, she comes across an illegal drug operation. Suddenly the hike turns into a bullet-riddled run for their lives! She doesn't remember the armed man, but he knows her, and plans to go after her.
When asked by the sheriff to lead him and a team to the drug operation's site, the last person she expected on the team was Griffin Slater. She and Griffin haven't seen each other in a couple years.
Alice struggles with trust. Griffin has convinced himself he is "damaged goods". Can they overcome their issues and fears?
This story, like the previous three, is fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful, and more. I will miss the Wilde family, and the rest of the Wilderness, Inc, characters, but I sure can't wait to read what Elizabeth Goddard comes up with next!

Imagine participating in a guided hike and stumble into something you shouldn't see that has you running for your life! That's exactly what this is about. Heart-pounding from the start and doesn't let up until the end!

Alice must rely on her wilderness survival skills to out-run her pursuers and stay ahead of a killer who knows her. Working with the Sheriffs department as a photojournalist, ex-boyfriend Griffin is her only hope and protection in a dangerous game! These two are stubborn to the core and there were times I wanted to knock their heads together! They need to learn to work together in order to bring justice & stop the illegal drug operation. With danger around every corner, it's a race for survival! This is a story that's hard to put down and will keep you up late at night reading. I had to find out what happens next and how they would outrun the danger at their doorstep! Pulse-pounding and an all to real story, the kind of suspense that will have you on your toes throughout! Mix in a bit of romance and you have an adventure awaiting you!

Elizabeth Goddard has released the fourth installment in her Wilderness, Inc. series. This book is probably my favorite in the series, but then again I have loved them all. This series is set in southwest Oregon surrounding the Rogue River. Ms. Goddard weaves her words to together that bring the story to life for me. The setting explodes to life with her vivid use of imagery. This story centers around Alice Wilde who works at Wilderness, Inc. as a guide. Until an unfortunate accident on the Rogue River she mostly guided white water rafters, but she hadn't been back on the river since. When a client enlisted her services for a off-trail adventure they had spent 3 days in the Oregon mountains doing their best to avoid poison oak. Suddenly Alice stumbles upon suspicious activity which leads her to an illegal growing operation and when she is spotted by the growers finds herself dodging bullets and literally on the run for her life.

Griffin Slater is a civilian photojournalist since a traumatic brain injury ended his military career. 3 years ago he arrived in Wild Rogue Wilderness region to rest after his injury, but has returned on a journalistic project regarding illegal marijuana grown on public land. When receiving a call from Sheriff Kruse about a possible lead. The problem with this lead is it came from a trained wilderness guide and that put her life endanger.

The plot is fast paced and flows effortlessly. This story deals with the issue of the illegal use of our public lands to grow marijuana. Millions of acres of public lands are being overrun with illegal marijuana growing operation, resulting in degraded habitat and toxic trash that leads directly to wildlife deaths and serious threats to local water supplies. These people make millions of dollars with these operations and they will take whatever necessary precautions to prevent their growing sites from being shut down.
This book is a edge of your seat suspense that kept me turning the pages. I would describe it as a one sitting read, which means when I picked it up I was captivated until the last page was turned. I was drawn into the story and could feel the fear, joy, and turmoil of the characters. The plot has unexpected twists and turns. The characters strong and well developed. Alice was hurt in the past and has a difficult time trusting. Griffin feels he's damaged and not good at relationships. They are both easy to love. This story has elements of mystery, suspense, romantic tension and faith. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves suspense.

Alice released a long exhale. "Showtime."

I really enjoyed Alice and Griffin's story, Goddard is able to take a seemingly unlikely situation and make it tangibly dangerous. Alice is being a wilderness guide when she stumbles across a marijuana garden and is noticed by a dangerous man who recognizes her. The rest of the story is her facing her deepest fears, surviving, and protecting any innocent people founded along the way.

"And there they were, going right back into the viper's den."

Alice is stalked most of the story, there's a dangerous motorcycle ride scene (motorcycles always make me nervous), two dangerous river rafting scenes that reminded me of the movie, The River Wild with Streep (you should totally watch it, this book is similar to that one except there's no drugs in the movie), and lots of hiking in jungle territory.

I really thought one of the good guys was going to betray them because he knowingly puts Alice in danger when it can be avoided, but I was wrong :)

Not my favorite book by Goddard, but definitely a good page turner filled with adventure!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion.

Wilderness Reunion ( Wilderness, Inc. )

If you like a good action, suspense story that will have you on the edge of your seat all the way through the story , then you will love Wilderness Reunion. Goddard did not disappoint me. She had me hooked right at the very start . Alice Wilde is a very good wilderness guide, but on this trip she stumbles upon something she should not have seen . Alice and the woman she was guiding are now racing back through the dangerous rough wilderness with bullets flying all around them .Can she save them? There is action and suspense all around and you will feel like you are on a roller coaster, but you are trying to survive the wilderness, rushing rough waters, and men trying to kill you. Will Alice make it back through the wilderness, and if she does is she safe?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had too give a positive review.

Wilderness Inc.: Surviving the wilderness of Oregon takes training...and trust.
Alice Wilde races through the woods as bullets whiz past her after stumbling upon a drug operation. Using her skills as a wilderness guide to elude her pursuers, she doesn't stay safe for long once one of the armed men recognizes her and starts stalking her. When the sheriff asks her to guide his men and photojournalist Griffin Slater, her ex boyfriend, to the crime scene, she can't refuse. Alice knows Griffin is just there for the story, but after the two of them are separated from the rest of the group, he's the only person who can save her. And with someone willing to do anything to hunt them down, Alice must put aside their past if she wants to survive.

Full of suspense and wild adventure, this latest from Elizabeth Goddard is sure to satisfy any suspense fan. White water rafting is supposed to be fun, but not when bullets are flying at you. These characters face danger nearly every moment of the book. On sale now!

A wilderness trip turns from a fun adventure to a life threatening experience for Alice and Griffin. The story begins with action and heart pounding need for survival. The author draws the reader in from the first page and keeps the story moving along fast. Remember to breath when you read this one. Excellent story. I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my personal honest opinion.

Why is he here? Has he come back to be with her?
She will soon learn that Griffin Slater is back to take

He has come back to this town to film his uncle's

This is one author that I read her books as soon as I get a copy, and she did not disappoint with this one. She has written another action and suspense filled story that had me hooked from the first pages and kept me reading to see what could possibly happen next. Following the relationship develop between Alice and Griffin certainly added to the story. This story is just another example of why this author is one of my favorites when it comes to good Christian suspense and romance. I was given a copy of this book by the author, but a favorite review was not required. The opinions expressed are my own, and this is another one from this author that I definitely recommend.

Wilderness Reunion is a fast-paced adventure! Danger lurks around every turn when Alice Wilde stumbles upon a drug operation in the middle of the Oregon wilderness. As the story quickly unfolds, a sense of fear and urgency is palpable, and the setting Goddard describes provides a backdrop that is both picturesque and perilous. An exciting story of suspense and survival, Wilderness Reunion offers readers a great conclusion to a great series.

Know what I love most about Elizabeth Goddard’s books? She introduces me to things I was unaware of before, brings attention to real issues in the world. Book four of her Wilderness, Inc. series does not disappoint.

In Wilderness Reunion, Alice Wilde stumbles across a marijuana garden deep in the wilderness she guides others through, her wilderness. When an armed man recognizes her, she embarks on a fight for her life. When her ex shows up, she’s relieved at first. Griffin Slater’s appearance saves her. But now her heart’s in danger.

Griffin Slater has returned to Gideon, OR to get his story. When he runs into Alice, he knows something is wrong and is determined to protect her. As a former combat photographer (a role Goddard introduced me to in this book), he’s survived his share of danger.

Through the rugged and beautiful Oregon forest to the whitewater rapids of the Rogue River, Goddard takes readers on a heart-pumping thrill ride in a satisfying conclusion to this series. As Alice and Griffin fight the injustices, they discover what’s most important: where they belong.

If you want to read a book that you can't put down and have fast action throughout the whole book, this is the book for you! I have come to expect this type of writing from this author! I know when I begin a book from her, I better clear my schedule because I wont put the book down until I'm done! As I'm reading, the words flash through my mind like a movie and I can actually see these characters running for their lives! Of course it helps that, with this series, I happen to know where it is set - not too far from where I live! I don't have to imagine very hard where the setting is - I know! But, the author's descriptive words and storytelling are great to put the reader right in the action and make you feel like you are right there! I could actually FEEL Alice's fear when she stumbled on the drug operation in the wilderness as she is guiding a woman on a simple hike through the woods! Suddenly they are running for their lives! The armed man recognizes her but she can't place him...however, he starts stalking her so the sheriff asks her to guide him into the forest to show him where the drug operation is so he can organize a task force to eradicate it! She was NOT planning that expedition to include her ex-boyfriend, Griffin, however! He left her 2 years ago after saying he'd "come back" but never did! He's a photojournalist and is going to do a story on the drug operation. She doesn't know if she can be around him again but when the two of them are suddenly separated from the others, she is grateful that he can save her!
As I said, there is non-stop action in this! There is hiking and river rafting and motorcycling and so many different ways that Griffin and Alice are engaged with the "bad guys"! Be ready for a fantastic read! There's also a lot of emotion as Griffin & Alice try to work through their past relationship. I definitely recommend this book to anyone!!!!!!!

Wilderness Reunion—Elizabeth Goddard’s final installment in her Wilderness Inc. quartet does not disappoint. There is instant action that propels you into the story which I must say is fast-paced and absorbing. The plot is a rollercoaster ride and the characterization is well drawn out. Griffin Slater is my latest book boyfriend. He is one dapper, vigilant guy whose instinct to detect danger and a story is commendable.

Alice Wilde is admirable. However it is her nerve-of-steel personality that makes her a lovable heroine. She is a tough, outdoors girl who stumbles upon an illegal marijuana farm and her instant reaction is to inform the authorities. What she hadn’t bargained on though is the threat of being seen and then marked by one of the illegal marijuana growers. Things get topsy-turvy from then on.

What I greatly appreciate about this book is the way the author keeps up the tension that Griffin and Alice must endure. This tension rubs off on you as a reader and makes you itch to know what happens next. Of course you’re captivated with the plot because you don’t know and Griffin and Alice doesn’t know what stunt would be pulled next by the people out to get Alice.

So would I propose you go get this book? Yes. Go get it. You won’t be disappointed.

What I thought about Wilderness Reunion?

The story is fast-paced and eloquent and throughout reading it I felt a great urge to reach the end because the suspense was killing me! The author must be given two thumbs up for her dexterity as a writer. She had my full attention from page one. All in all, I immensely enjoyed the crazy ride this book took me on.

Highly Recommended

This is the fourth book in the Wilderness, Inc. Series. I have really enjoyed this series but then I haven't ever read a book by Elizabeth that I didn't really like. This book is well written, adventure packed, and fast paced. Elizabeth has placed her faith throughout the whole book. You are going to love it.
Alice Wilde is out taking a client on a wildlife hike out in the middle of the wilderness when she finds a field of marijuana. She and her client must run for their lives but one of the men that starts shooting at her tells her he knows who she is. She reports the situation to the chief when she returns home. Restless she goes out to eat and encounters a man trying to kill her. She is rescued by the only man she had ever loved but how do you trust the man that once betrayed her.
Photojournalist Griffin Slater returned to Gideon Oregon to see the marijuana fields. He is doing stories about drugs being grown in wilderness areas. His uncle, the chief of police called him to let him know about the fields but the clincher is knowing Alice is involved. He arrives in time to save her life and he is determined to keep Alice safe and find these animals.
A journey of intrigue as the wilderness they both love becomes a death trap. God has a plan for these two. They are meant for each other and the past few years didn't change that. His plan is far greater than either of them had dreamed of. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him, give Him your heart, and watch him work in your life.

Filled with intense heart-pounding action and danger!

This is a stand-alone story. Really the only thing that you can gain by reading this book after the others in the series is the ability to recognize the names of some very minor characters.

I love the vulnerability that Alice displays. At the same time she has the courage and strength to carry on and do what she needs to do. Her help is vital to the cause of bringing justice. She is wounded by a past memory and it has crippled her abilities. She is also carrying wounds caused by Griffin’s departure from her life. The emotional journey that she goes on in this book trying to learn to trust Griffin again is great. She also has to learn to lean on God for His protection.

The story is very twisted and it really kept my interest. I desperately wanted Alice and the rest of the group to survive their trek into danger. I needed to find out who the bag guys were and see how they were dealt with.

I received a free copy of this book from the author. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.

I have read newer books by this author so I started checking out her older LIS Harlequin books. I love "series" books so fortunately I was able to find all 4 books in this Wilderness Inc online to read even though this is an older series (2016-2017).

This series is set in Oregon and although each book in this series has its unique story and characters, they all tied back together with characters from the Wilderness Inc. company.

I loved each unique story-the characters, the romance, the fast paced suspense! I highly recommend this series and this author if you haven't read these books! I read each book in less than a day because they were so fun and easy to read.

A high action fast paced read. An exciting conclusion to the Wilderness Inc. series. Alice Wilde stumbles upon an illegal drug operation and has to flee thru the woods to escape the bullets and bad guys. She relies upon her training as a wilderness guide to escape. But will she remain safe? No! the Sheriff asks her to guide him and some deputies to the location of the drugs so they can call in a task force! Will she and the men who go with her survive? Why are they trying to capture her alive? What is going on? Will they finally get the proper authorities to the drug operation to take in down and find out who is behind this large operation?

Good grief - this was a nail biter! Such good writing once again by this fabulous author. She continues to fulfill my suspense needs! The chases, shootings, suspenseful looking-over-the-shoulder scariness, and then she throws us down a white water river for a crazy ride! It was a beautiful mixture of past hurts and flawed humans that tugged at my heart. Her characters are real and had me cheering for them, shedding tears and wishing for a future where they could overcome their pasts that were holding them back. You won't be disappointed in this next Wilderness, Inc book!

Exciting!

This is a good story with characters who you can root for; (obviously not the bad guys).
There is plenty of action and suspense, and the dialogue is realistic.
The reason for four stars instead of five, is the overuse of the, (I can't commit), troupe.
Can you say, "beating a dead horse?"
Overall I enjoyed the book, and will probably go back and read the others in the series.

Suspense so awesome you are sitting on the edge of your seat. No way can you put it down. Not only was the suspense awesome, the characters were so well developed. I felt like I was living in Gideon. Alice Wilde, wilderness guide, stumbles across a drug operation while hiking and barely escapes. But she recognized the bad guy and he is out to get her. Griffin Slater, photojournalist and ex boyfriend returns to photograph the catch and destroy operation. Alice needs to guide them back and the trip becomes nightmare run for their lives. Pretty good but I liked others in the series better.

I have purposefully sought out more books by this author because her writing is extremely detailed and doesn’t read too much like a cheesy romance novel with too many Christian undertones like some of the others. Her books I would recommend to Christian and non-Christian readers alike.
