After knowing what happened to Sam in “Bound by Lies”, I knew that this man had to get his Happily ever after and I’m glad he did. Betrayed by Lies” was a story about redemption, finding love when you least expected it, and most importantly being there for your family.

Eighteen months ago Sam Cortez’s life changed dramatically. Deciding that he needs a fresh start in order to move on, he moves to California to continue his job as an ATF agent. New City, new people, what could be better than that right? With old wounds and a family past that would make anyone cringe, getting a new beginning is just what he needs. But when he meets the confident and sexy lawyer, Sam is about to get more than a new beginning.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kate prides herself on being a workaholic. Being in the office after hours is her down time and to say that her personal life has suffered a great deal, is an understatement. Renting out her guest house to her brother’s new ATF Agent seemed like the right thing to do since she’s hardly home. But one look at him and Kate knows that her very routine and boring life is about to get shaken up.

I think that this was a perfect conclusion to this series and I loved the fact that Sam found his perfect match with Kate. There were some things that I didn’t agree and the pace seemed a little bit too fast for my liking, but I understood why it was done that way. Kate was everything that Sam was looking for in a partner and knowing that he was falling for her before he did, is what made this story more interesting.

If you’ve read the previous books, then you’re going to love Sam and Kate’s story.

Wow ok I've spent my week with these characters and so for me this final book was one big epilogue of sorts. It was surely the icing on the cake. Even though this is Sam and Kate's story it kind of wrapped everything up in a nice Colourful bow.

So what's it about?
Sam is dealing with the aftermath of all that happened at the end of Bound by Lies. Without giving anything away he is now moving forward with his life and so has moved to LA to start over, it's a fresh start and he's back as being a ATF agent but with a new team offering his services which is what Sam is good at.

With being on new turf he finds himself renting the guest house next to Kate and owned by Kate. Their chemistry and attraction was instant. What I loved about Kate was that she is STRONG, kickass and holds her own. It's kind of what Sam needs. Where Alex the H in the previous two books is angry, aggressive and different. Sam is the more nurturing, caring and loyal character.... Kate definitely fits Sam's heart perfectly.

The only reason this isn't 5 is purely cause it was fast, and at times maybe a tad too fast. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it cause I did. It was sexy, fun and Rebecca did fab story of giving us an HEA for Sam which we wanted, she story telled with those small little details that I've learnt to enjoy in her writing. But it's not highly plot driven like the other two books. It's still an addictive read, but as I said earlier this is one BIG epilogue for me rather than a new story as such...

Highly recommend series overall and I really enjoyed seeing Sam heal..

Although this is a standalone book from an interconnected series, this really needs to be read after the first two books as you won't understand what's happened to Sam's past and get the whole background of this book.

That Is All

Enjoy Xoxo

Betrayed by Lies is the third installment in the Bound and Broken series.  This book can be read as a standalone, even though it’s the third book in this series.  I hadn't read the first two books and did not feel lost, but I did feel like I missed out on two other great books, which I now plan on reading. This fast-paced, insta-love mafia romance was super entertaining and sexy. One-click worthy.

I really enjoyed all 3 books in this series, but there was something about this one that I was really drawn to, something about it that I found very compelling.

Is it necessary to know Sam's past to be able to follow his relationship with Kate? Technically, no. This book is really a standalone with references to past events and recurring characters.

BUT

That said, you really, really, need to read the first 2 before you read this one. For a couple of reasons..1. It makes Sam's story so much deeper and more meaningful. 2. You are going to want to read the first 2 in the series once you are done. And, this one has all sorts of spoilers to the really big, major events that happen in those books. So, do yourself the favor and read the others first.

Now, on to this one. As it tells you in the blurb, it has been 18 months since the events of the first 2 books and Sam is moving on, literally and figuratively. For me, at least, I was concerned about how I was going to relate to Sam. I should have known that Rebecca Shea would handle this with full knowledge that her readers were going to need a reason to get over Sam of the first 2 books, and this was handled perfectly.

The book is compelling, the characters and the story are interesting. They definitely hold your attention. Sam as the hero is interesting, and getting to know him a little better was fun.

If this book was as much fun to write as it was to read, then Ms. Shea had a wonderful time writing it. I enjoyed reading it.

I recommend this book.

Yay we find out what happens with Sam!
I think I actually liked this book best.
Kate is kinda perfect for Sam and vice versa! Kate is strong of heart and will, I love that she totally put her bother in his place. Ok Sam is new to the team and Kate’s brother is his boss. But that wasn’t going to stop Kate and she laid it out for him I loved it. She wasn’t looking for anyone and isn’t that when it happens.
Sam was still hung up on Em just a little bit but once he had true feelings for someone else he realized he wasn’t in love with Em at all, more like lust or infatuation.
Great book glad we didn’t have to wonder about what happened to Sam.

Betrayed by Lies is book three in ‘the Bound and Broken Series’ by Rebecca Shea, and tells the story of Sam. In the previous books, I wasn’t happy with Sam’s decisions and actions, but since then eighteen months have passed, and Sam has done a lot of thinking. I’m not angry with him anymore, and I love how he finds his Happily Ever After with Kate.
“New office. New job. New city. New state. New life. A chance to start over. A chance to leave the past where it belongs…in the past.”

Sam is finally back to being okay. The events from Bound by Lies have left their marks on him – physically and mentally – but now he’s ready to start his new life in Los Angeles. Over the months he has figured out his feelings for Emilia, and now knows he loves her as just a very good friend, nothing more. Sam isn’t looking for a woman in his life, but he can’t help the attraction he feels for Kate, his boss’s sister and his landlord…
“I don’t know a lot about you, Kate—but I’d like to find out more.” He captures my hand in his. “I’d like to know everything about you, Kate,” he utters, bringing his lips so close to mine I can almost feel them.”

Kate is a woman in her thirties has buried herself into her work for years. She’s successful as a corporate attorney, but her personal life has suffered from it; only very few good friends, but she’s close with her only brother Nick and his family. Renting out the guesthouse on her property to her brother’s new co-worker seems a smart choice, too bad she didn’t count on Sam. He’s nothing like she’s expected, and soon she starts to fall for the younger man.
“Nick startled me when I arrived home yesterday, but what startled me more was my instant attraction to Sam. Something in his eyes spoke to me without him saying a single word. He was tall with sun-kissed skin and golden brown eyes.”

Sam and Kate aren’t looking for anything more than a hookup, but they can’t stop the feelings they have for each other. Both have their reasons not to fall, but both fail miserably. For some reason, they are right for each other, and when they are past certain hurdles (hello big brother and former life) they try for something real and lasting. In true Rebecca Shea style the couple have some obstacles to overcome, but they get there.

I’ve enjoyed reading the story of Sam and Kate very much, but for some reason the ending felt a bit abrupt. Yes, there is an epilogue, but after all that was going on, the story was ‘just over’. I guess I wanted a bit more for Kate and Sam; more of them being back together, happy in love and more explanations. I love that although Kate is a grownup lady who makes her own choices, her brother Nick is still a bit ‘protective’ over her; he doesn’t want his sister getting hurt.
“His thumb caresses my cheek for a moment before he turns and walks toward the door. He stops, his hand resting on the door handle before he turns back to me. “This is just the beginning of us, Kate.”

I like Betrayed by Lies, I give the story of Kate and Sam 4 stars.

A family divided, a love denied, Sam really knows how to take sibling rivalry one step too far ;)

Following the end of Bound by Lies and the close brush with death, Sam relocates to LA for a fresh start and to hopefully lay the ghosts of his past to rest. Although Betrayed by Lies is the third book in the series it is possible to read it as a stand-alone, there are enough details dropped in the narrative to give the background history to Sam and his decision to relocate. I did find it also emphasised the clean slate/fresh start Sam was embarking on.

Finding new accommodation with his relocation leads Sam to Kate's door (literally) when she rents out her refurbished guest house. Kate is also Sam's new boss's sister.

Sam and Kate have a lot in common, both workaholic overachievers that tend to be loners. More than their comparability is the undeniable passion that sparks between them. While they succumb to their physical attraction and undertake some seriously smexy times, Sam remains emotionally unavailable exasperated by the clandestine nature of his job. Placing stress on the burgeoning relationship with Kate and unwittingly inflicting emotional pain on the one person who is truly his.

Sam, as a character, really stood out for me. It was intriguing to see such vulnerability including self-esteem issues on such an alpha male.

While Kate has her own issues they were not dealt with as in depth as Sam's. The main element with regards to Kate was her trust issues. The trials and tribulations of undertaking a relationship with a special agent requires a large amount of trust that generally takes time to earn. With the speed of their relationship the trust is quickly put to the test.

The ending tied everything from the series together beautifully. I really liked the inclusion of the characters from the first two books, giving the narrative a feeling of completeness in all areas ♥

5 Starting Over Brings Love and Redemption Stars!!!

The minute I finished Bound By Lies I NEEDED to have Sam's story. I just knew there was so much more to him than what we got in the first two books...more so in book two. Boy was I right!

Because of who he became, a top agent in law enforcement, this man's life was derailed and almost ended by the person that is supposed to protect and love you unconditionally. As we all learned that man wasn't capable of those emotions. Thank goodness Sam grew up in a household that was overflowing with love so that he knew what it felt like and what it looked like. He thought maybe he'd found it with Emilia but we all know that wasn't meant to be for a variety of reasons.

When this book opens, Sam has moved to LA and is starting over to get fresh perspective on life and his career. He's got a stellar reputation in the department and his boss knows he's lucky to have him. What started out as doing him a favor by finding him someplace to live, ended up bringing Sam his HEA that I so desperately wanted for him to find.

Enter Kate Stevens a tall extremely intelligent and beautiful woman, also his boss' sister that Sam felt this instant connection for. I LOVED these two together. There was a little cat and mouse at the beginning, but I knew that was just so they could protect their hearts. They've both lived quite the life and were cautious as to who they let in their heart and soul.

But, when you reach a certain age in your life, and you feel that "certain something" for another person, there's absolutely no reason not to grab onto it, hold tight and hit go! That's what Sam and Kate did and it was sexy, and dirty and funny and emotional and all the things in between.

I literally devoured this book in one sitting reading it through the night because I HAD to see how their desire for their happily ever after came to be. There's no shortage of some angst and drama either. Given Sam's line of work, he has to keep some secrets from Kate and let me tell you, when she was listening to what others were telling her I wanted to just slap her upside the head. I mean REALLY??? Her brother is in the same department as Sam. She KNOWS things aren't always as they seem!!!

Along with finding his forever person, Sam and Alex begin the healing process to once again become the brothers they were when they were little and life was altered for them not by their choosing. Watching this happen gave me the biggest smile on my face and I even got a little misty eyed. Being twins they once had that connection that only twins have let alone being brothers.

Overall, this book was EVERYTHING I wanted for Sam...he truly gets to have it all...not easily mind you, but isn't that what life is all about? Working hard for what you want to make your dreams come true? In this case, Sam Cortez did exactly what he needed to do not caring who he had to climb over to ultimately get the girl...his girl!!!

Betrayed by Lies is the third book in the Bound and Broken series. While I think it is possible to read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Broken by Lies and Bound by Lies first. There are some background elements that will make more sense to a reader if they're familiar with the story.

Betrayed by Lies is Sam's story. Sam, an ATF agent, is new to LA, CA after moving from Phoenix. He meets Kate, who is the sister of his boss.
The bosses sister should be off-limits, but Sam and Kate can't deny their attraction to each other.
The story is told perfectly in dual POV. From Sam's POV, we learn about his work, a major case that he's working on, and his insecurities. From Kate's POV, we learn about her work, her BFF, and her relationship insecurities.
The story is face-paced, which I loved. I loved seeing Alex and Emilia again (oh Alex...). It's a sweet story with a few twisty turns. Another fantastic read from Rebecca Shea.

A good quick read, but I had high hopes for it to be more. I've been waiting for Sam to get his HEA, and he totally does, so I'm good on that aspect; I just feel like this story skimmed on what could've been an above and beyond love story.

Betrayed can be read as a standalone but you get a lot more of Sam's back story in books 1 & 2. However, Kate sort of gets gipped in that area and without that she lacks the character depth needed to really pull off the "I love you" relationship. The move-in and insta-sex didn't bother me so much as the "we are not having sex" chapter. And then all of a sudden they're in love? Talk about quick. I think a little more dating time might have been a good add-in to make it seem a bit more real. I also had a bit more expectations for the case Sam was working on with the previous 2 books going into a lot more depth with that. Everything just felt like it ended up too perfect too quick with an epilogue that probably should've been a time-warped chapter.

Overall, a fast ending to the previous 2 books but a smidge of a letdown for me.

Betrayed by Lies is a beautifully breathtaking ending to a remarkable series!
One that will you dying for a Sam in your life!

But, hell I had no clue how Rebecca Shea was going to close this series!
I was, indeed worried about it! Never fear Peeps! She had killed it! Yes, She slayed it! Had me swooning from the get go! I mean, I thought Alex was the it!! Well now there is a new Book boyfriend and it’s Sam! Oh yes, Sam!
I truly despised him in the last book! His character has grown leaps and bounds! Plus, his story is so refreshing and just may I say it “intoxicating!” Yes!!! This delicious will have you purring all the way to the end!!

“...when you have the connection that you and I have, sometimes you have to throw out the rules and just roll with what's happening.”

Okay, I'm probably half-half of those. I mean, I felt for Sam, but I was more in love with Alex. So sorry Sam!

“Pain- it's the only way I know I'm alive.”

I love how the story started. That part, where Sam had felt those bullets and thought he would be dead, was an intense moment and actually, I'm not sure if I wanted him dead or not. Brutal, I know! But it was a great opening, considering I had a major hang-over with the previous books, that it was gripping enough to hold my attention and make me feel bound with this story.

Sam is an ATF agent, who brought the Estrada cartel to nothing but it may have been the reason he lost his life and everything he thought he believed in. Wanting to have a fresh start, away from the memories and the place that still haunts him in his nightmares, he jumped at the opportunity to be transferred at Los Angeles.

Kate Stevens is a lawyer, workaholic and a breath of fresh air. She's also stubborn and nosy but cagey about herself, in my opinion. lol

I think, although a year has passed, it has only been days for me, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get my head and my heart and get on with the program that Sam is indeed trying to live his life and not around Emilia. It's the reason why I felt it was too short, the story I mean, because I was just still hang up, and everyone's living HEA already. lol But the epilogue wrapped up the story and it was a nice present with a bow, that I felt okay with it.

Although this one can be read as a standalone, I felt its a must to read the two previous installments to understand Sam better and be able to feel a deeper connection, rather than a surface of what Sam has been through. This has a major spoilerish for the first two books, and you'd really want to read them so my advice, read in order!

Overall, this was a great read. Definitely worth reading!

“She looks like she's just conquered the world, and she did. Mine.”

Broken by Lies (Bound and Broken, #1)
Bound by Lies (Bound and Broken, #2)

Betrayed by Lies is the third book in the Bound and Broken series. Rebecca is one of my go to authors. I read everything she writes. Her writing is always fantastic, emotional and often heartbreaking. It also helps that she's an incredible human being. I've read all of Rebecca's books and Sam is one of my favorite characters. I know everyone loves Alex, and I do too, but there was just something about Sam that has called to me since the beginning of this series. I actually rooted for Emilia to pick him at one point :). But, I'm glad Rebecca knew what she was doing. Sam finally gets his story. He needs a fresh start and he gets a job in LA. He's still recovering emotionally, but he's ready to move on in all aspects of his life. When he gets a call from his boss's sister about a house for rent, he's ready to get out of his hotel and this seems perfect. He wasn't prepared for the connection he felt for Kate when he first laid eyes on her. It was a shock, but a welcome one. He wanted Kate and he wasn't going to apologize for it. Kate is an attorney and she's a control freak. But something about the sexy Sam Cortez does something to Kate and her resolve. She's dealing with her own things and trying to just work and live her life. One night with Sam and whiskey changes everything. She wants more. And she wants it with Sam. Is it too soon for Sam and Kate? What happens when you know it's right? I loved this story! Sam is everything I wanted him to be and so much more! Kate is smart, beautiful and sassy. She's the perfect match for him. I loved seeing Alex and Emilia again! I know I always say this at the end of one of Rebecca's books, but I want more!!

I run my fingers through her hair and, for a brief moment, I realize that this is what peace feels like. It's calm and happiness. It's comfortable and understated.

She's my future. She's my motivation to move forward and leave the past behind me. She is what I've been missing.

Years ago, when I first read a book by Rebecca Shea I knew then that she was going to be not only an amazing author but one that would only get better and better with each book. She hasn’t just gotten better, but she is an author that I never hesitate to pick up one of her books and read. She will at times destroy you; put you back together again only to repeat the cycle. Her books will keep you on the edges of your seats and having you enthralled into her stories. She does all this and more in Betrayed By Lies.

Betrayed By Lies is the third book in the Bound and Broken series and I can honestly it truly is my favorite. I started this late at night, knowing better because I didn’t get any sleep and then had to be awake to take care of my kids the next day. Make sure when you start you shouldn’t be getting ready for bed, or you will need copious amounts of caffeine to get you through the day.

Sam, well Sam will make you at times want to slap the ever living hell out of him if you read the previous books but I think that is why I loved him so much. He would infuriate me but I knew there was something more to him and I was right. The relationship between him and Kate was what was meant to be; sometimes it takes times to see these things. The chemistry between Sam and Kate was undeniable, I loved watching these two come together. Both had their own issues to overcome but I am glad they not only found each other but found their HEA as well.

Betrayed By Lies is a must read for any fan of Rebecca Shea, it is a must read if you are a fan of romance books that make you feel, it plain and simple is a must read. Congrats Rebecca Shea on yet another amazing book that this long time fan loved and highly recommends!

After everything that went down with his family in Phoenix, Sam is ready to start over. A fresh start. So when he is given an opportunity to move to Los Angeles he takes it. He never expected to meet Kate, the sister to his boss Nick and his new landlord.

Kate is a workaholic. Although she would love to have a family of her own, she’s content with her nephews and her best friend’s kids. Sure she would love to have a guy in her life, but with her job, she just hasn’t met “the guy”, But when Sam Cortez shows up at her front door with her brother, she a little taken aback by the mysterious and gorgeous man standing in front of her.

Sparks fly between Kate and Sam from the beginning. But both must learn to trust and let go of their pasts, if there is ever going to be a future between the two of them.

I was so happy to see Sam get his HEA. Although this can be read as a standalone, it is better to have read the other two books in the series so you know Sam’s background and his relationship with his brother, that plays out in this book.

My only complaint is I wanted a little bit more!

What a great addition to the Bound and Broken series! I loved Sam and was so grateful that we got his story. This is fast paced and quick but what a great read. Rebecca Shea did a great job of bringing this family full circle. I loved seeing ALL of the relationships in this story evolve.

Kate and Sam's story is hot, passionate and fun to read. There's a really great dynamic at work here that I thoroughly enjoyed. This could probably be read as a standalone. However I wouldn't suggest it. The stories from the first two books in the series seriously impact the events in this story. Not to mention you would miss the importance of some of the more poignant moments in this story. There is a lot of healing that takes place in this book both physical and emotional that you may not realize if you've skipped the first two.

Sam captured my heart when I read him Bound and Broken Series. He was the man that I swooned over and now we get to do it again. But first thing, you can read this as a standalone, but why would you. You need to read the Bound and Broken books 1 and 2. Ok back to Sam.

Sam is an officer that was shot and almost died trying to bring down his fathers empire. He survives the shooting, but needs a fresh start. So he moves to LA and begins to really enjoy his job. Tired of living in a Hotel he receives a call that will change his life. Kate is a lawyer that is very driven. She has a guest house that is vacant, why not take her brother up on offering it to his new hire at the ATF. She just wasn't prepared to have feelings for him. Sam and Kate have so much chemistry, these two feel more than they have felt before. Now they embark on a journey with each other that leaves them hungry for more.

LOVE LOVE this book, I just wanted more, but we all do sometimes. More to come on release day on my VLOG- https://etheljo.com/2017/04/24/betray...

Although book 3 can be read as a standalone I wouldn't recommend it as you meet the MC in book 2 and find a lot about the character and his backstory in this book. But what a wonderful addition to a great series.
This book is based on Sam, who as I said met in book 2 and know a great deal about, therefore this book focuses more on the most recent and not a lot of detail is given about who he was etc. The same is also said for that of Katie there is not a great detail of history for her and I feel that we could potentially be missing information. Although this does not take away from the enjoyment of the book.
I loved the insta connection and the fact that Sam got his own book it was definitely a great story although it left me wanting more.

This story brings the series to a full circle. I have always had a soft spot for Sam. He has a beautiful soul and I loved that he got his own happy ending. He only wants what is best for everyone. He’s the kind of man who gives up his own happiness for the people he loves. In the end after all the bloodshed and tears (mine) I finally feel this series is complete. Rebecca is an incredibly talented author. She created this amazing world that sucks you in and spits you back out but you can't help but love every minute of it. This book is a little dark and twisted but you will find the light at the end and Sam will steal your heart. I can't wait to fall into the new world Rebecca will create next. I suggest you pick up a copy of this book and enjoy the ride.

Finally it's Sam's turn, it's Sam's turn, the man is not bashful "not staring. Watching." I don't try to hide that I'm watching her… that she turns me on." Kate was just so easy to love, the girl had a way about her, "...and I've yet to see one, but my neighbor told me he had a snake." Her eyes grow wide with fear at the idea. "I'd die. I honest to God would die if there was a snake in my backyard." She visibly shudders when she says that. "So I pretend they don't exist." I loved this book, it wasn't as dark as the other two but this book fit Sam's personality.

So glad that we got to come full circle in this series. While this can be read as a stand alone you will gain so much more from Sam's background if you read the great books that are this ones's predecessor.

Sam. Broken by his past that came at him head on and needing a change, he up and leaves his life on Arizona for a new life in LA. Starting with a fresh slate seems like just what he needs. Looking for anything more than a new place to rest his head and a place where his complicated life won't follow him is all he wants. No strings or connections needed or wanted. Best laid plans and all until he meets the beauty that is going to rent him her guesthouse. Kate, his new bosses sister. Can you say complicated??

Kate is a workaholic just like Sam so this should be easy right? The pull is there immediately for both. Kate was just what I thought Sam would need. A strong woman who could compliment a complicated but gentle man.

This was a great book about healing, finding the other half of your heart and renewal of spirit. Two people who realized there is more to life than going through the motions of living.

I loved seeing Alex reach out to Sam also. Healing a breach that at one point almost seemed an impossibility.

A great ending to an intrigue filled romance. Definitely an exciting trilogy to check out.

Happy Reading~ Sherry

What?!? That's it? No way!!! Holy crap this book was amazing!! More Sam, yes please!! I adored him in the first two books of this series and was ready to experience his happy ending. And I definitely was t disappointed!!

Sam moves to LA after everything that went down in Phoenix. It's time for him to move on. Little did he know he'd find the person he'd move on with right away. Kate, she's sweet, fierce, kind, and has a great big heart. These two hit if off right away. There are some twists and turns butt two favorite people can overcome it right? Obviously you'll have to read to find out. But don't count out a happy ending.

And then I'd like to just say, family. Family is the most important group of people in your life. Sam and Alex have had a shaky road to get to that point but they do. Let's just say the epilogue in this story is a treat! One I've been waiting for since the beginning. I've been craving the brotherhood and the love and just everything in between. Kate and Sam, Emilia and Alex...... these four represent perfection! <3

I devoured this book!!!! I couldn't put it down not even for minute. This is Sam Cortez's story we are talking about, I have waited patiently for this book to come out & I was so darn happy when I got it first!!!

Love, love, love what Rebecca did with Sam's story, she gave him the story that he deserved and we get to see him put the pieces of his past back together. Beautiful man, this book was just so beautifully written that when I was done with reading it a tear leaked out.

Oh Sam.....I knew you were gonna make me love you even more!!
I knew as soon as it was announced that Sam would be getting his own book that it would steal my heart! After the way we left Sam in Bound by Lies, he deserved an ending. And Rebecca did him justice. Kate was the perfect match for him. He was exactly what she needed. It was hard to say goodbye to these characters who I love, but I am so happy with the ending!

“Sometimes you have to throw out the rules and just roll with what’s happening.”

This is the book that I’ve been waiting for!! If you’ve been following the Bound and Broken Series, than you have been waiting with baited breath, just as I have to get your hands on Sam’s story. And I gotta tell you, Sam’s story was so worth the wait. One thing I must tell you before I continue on with my review is that Betrayed By Lies is not a stand-alone novel. Even though it is Sam’s story, you will need to read the other two books before starting this one. The other two books are amazing, so you won’t regret it!

Betrayed By Lies picks up right where the last book left off. Sam is in need of a fresh start, so when the opportunity presents itself, he jumps at the chance. What he didn’t plan on was Kate. Sam moved to rebuild his life, his career and in turn, he found love in the most unexpected place. Kate would become the salvation he never expected. However, as you must know, nothing in Sam’s life is ever easy or goes as planned. The stakes are high and the risks even higher. The only thing Sam knows for certain is that losing Kate is not an option…

Betrayed by Lies was a quick and easy read for me. I loved the fast pace and couldn’t get enough of Sam’s story. I think that Kate was the perfect match for him. While she didn’t know every aspect of Sam’s job, she understood the stress and demands of it. She listened, accepted and understood the man that Sam was. She brought him back to life and made him want to risk his heart again.

Kate and Sam together were a terrific match. Their chemistry was instant and scorching. I loved seeing these two together and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how their story was going to play out.

Betrayed by Lies was the perfect ending to this series. The story-line was a ton of fun and was a story that I could easily finish in just a few hours. As I previously stated, I loved the pacing. It was fast and there was never a dull moment. This story had the perfect amount of drama, sex, action and of course a few twists along the way.

Overall, a really great read to spend the afternoon getting lost in!

4 1/2 out of 5 stars

HOLY WOW! HOT! SEXY! ROMANTIC! PERFECTION!!!

I was so sad for Sam at the end of Bound by Lies and only wanted him to find some happiness because he was such a good guy. He was deserving of the best and I’m so glad he met Kate!!

Kate is the perfect girl for Sam because she doesn’t take any crap and she needed him as much as he needed her.

Ms. Shea did a wonderful job of bringing this story to life and helping me find some closure for Sam - and even Alex and Emilia - but mostly just because the story flows so well and you can’t help but falling in love with all of the characters all over again.

A fantastic quick read. Sam finally gets an HEA. Sexy, sweet with low angst. Highly recommend reading Broken and Bound by Lies first.
