Oh my goodness, the way Karen Kingsbury shares her gift with all of us is amazing!!!!! I have never before been so involved in a piece of literature that I shed years of happiness as well as sadness. I really do feel like I have been a part of the lives of this family. I am so looking forward to reading more of her books, as she shares what God lays on her heart. My faith has become so much stronger since reading these books. Thank you Mrs. Kingsbury and thank you, God!
This is a series that will not let you go and it makes you see the possibilities of how GOD can work in your life! It makes you commit to prayer and listening to the unction of the Holy Spirit. It makes you realize the value of family and married love. Most importantly, it makes you consider the plans that GOD has for you.
I've enjoyed getting to know the Baxter family in this series, as well as in the Firstborn series. I first came across the books in my church's library while searching for an idea for book club.
I have read a few of the sunrise series..it's so amazing that I had to make moves in searching for her books online. I have issues with getting access to them. How do I get to read on GoodReads. Kingsbury's writings is a blessing. It stirred my faith up. Glory to Jesus!!!
This series of books with the Baxter family and the Flannigan family was the best yet! I have loved all the series/books about these families. I will say this series was very touching. You’ll not be sorry you read this or any of the others.
Loved the complete collection of Baxter family books. Felt like I was part of the family. Hated to see the series come to an end. Recommend these books and all of Karen Kingsbury books to fAmily and friends.
Its ok... I think I have finally outgrown Christian romance, or whatever this is. I have loved all these books in the past. Karen Kingsbury is a good author, but now find them difficult to keep reading and cheesy for lack of a better word. It's not the author. It is me. My tastes have changed.
Unbelievably great! It’s 4.5 stars, but this is good enough. The hard part of the book was the Gulf War and what happened there, along with the rocky terrain that two couples took, the rumors of and the fact of!
Such an uplifting series of family, love, and God’s grace. A wonderful series for those who are searching, struggling, or just want to be drawn closer to God.
The books on the Baxter family will touch your heart. You will feel like you know these people inside and out and like you belong to their family. I have read every book written on this family and had to come back to real life once they were over. Karen Kingsbury is an exceptional author and I've never read a bad book by her.
I wasnt impressed as everyone else seems to be. No, i did not feel like i knew the characters and was wondering what they were up, after I had finished. I did feel like I was just reading the journals of a family and/or a bio of their life.
I loved this series! Although I wish there had been a little more of an emphasis on personal relationships with God, it is nonetheless a clean and provoking story line. It is God-honoring fiction, and I enjoyed it very much!
