This book is amazing. It's different in every way possible. I mean c'mon dragons!!! Love!!! Passion!! And Sacrifice. All of this put in one.
The book starts off perfect and it flows so well. The plot is very intense and the romance is steamy hot and very strong. This author is really good guarantee. The passion that is in this book reflects on her and she got that hands down.
Very creative in a whole new world. I read this book three times because it was just that magnificent...
I'm her biggest fan, now join in get your copy and enjoy this new world she created so beautifully amazing and breathtaking.

I received this book from the narrator, Meghan Kelly. I was not obligated to leave a review. I am leaving this review because I want to.

This book was very short but it had a lot of details about The Dragon Realm. This is the first book that I have ever read from Selena Scott and I will admit that I had no idea what I was getting into. I am a sucker for paranormal romance so I was already thinking that this was going to be interesting.

When you first meet Lucy she is working as a PT and Amos is trying his best to not drool over Lucy. As this story continues we learn that the King of the Dragons wants to have an heir so that his line can continue ruling. My issue with this situation is what happened to his line?

Selena mentions that a prince died but I do not know if that is the King's son or someone else. He also has 3 other wives so yeah. I just wanted to know more about the King and what is happening with his line. I just know that the offsprings are not as strong but I want to know why that is. There were just some things that I think were needed for the overall understanding about what is happening within the kingdom.

I loved the interaction with Amos and Lucy and I am glad that he recognized that there is something about her that pulls him to her.

They way this ended makes me hungry for more. Zara was taken and Lucy and Amos are on a quest. I am ready to see if we learn more about what is happening and why there is a revolution that is occuring. Also, why is the King the way he is?

I enjoyed Meghan's narration and I hope that she continues to narrate this entire series.

Chosen by the Dragon is the first book in The Dragon Realm series by Selena Scott. This was a quick little story with a lot of dragon lust and all the shenanigans you might imagine would come along with that. For such a short story, I got awfully attached to the characters quite quickly. Especially The Oracle. I loved his personality. He's definitely my favorite, but I'm looking forward to getting the stories of other characters too. Like I mentioned, there was quite a bit of naughty business, and that's pretty much the only fault I have with it. It just seemed.. I don't know... tedious and repetitious at times. There must have been a lot of chafing. Whew! After a bit, those parts were easy enough to scan over though until you got back to the story itself, which I thought was set up nicely to introduce us to this world and characters, and it gave us a glimpse of everything that may be at stake in future books. I definitely want to know what happens in the next books!

Lucy’s jaw dropped. any child of mine, borne by you, would be the most powerful being in the land. We will mate. You will bear me offspring that will be the heir to this throne. OH. HOLY. ORACLE. What an ABSO-SHIFTING-LUTELY DRAGONTACULAR book!!! I am COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by the uniqueness of the story, the wholly originality of EVERYTHING! The concept of the Dragon Realm, the portals, the harvest moon, the Oracle, the King and his "breeding" ways, the hierarchy, the history and Dragon ways of life, JUST ALL OF IT!!! I became Lucy, grabbed then tossed into this book to live another life, a life I didn't want... except for Amos! This book literally caught me in its tight grip and NEVER let me go! The story is so passionately intense, its hot, Hot, HOT but so DRAGONGASMIC! There is a lot of naughty CARNALICIOUS activity, but for me, it fit the story! It escalated with the now very real position that Lucy is in - stuck in, I might add - it enflamed up even higher with and for Amos, and it made this story EXPLODE through me! *dreamy sigh* But what a DRAGONLICIOUSLY way to go!! There are so many unique lines, quotes, thoughts, etc. that make this book a Dragon breath of fresh Dragon air, and I will even go as far as to say that it stands alone, even ABOVE a lot of the many other Dragon Shifter books out today!! I love, Love, LOVE it THAT much!! This is Selena's debut release but I honestly would never have guessed it!! I was so completely immersed in my new life, errrr, I mean the story and Lucy's new life, that I didn't EVER want to leave and come back to reality!! I lived this all with & for Lucy! Like REALLY LIVED IT! I BECAME Lucy and as fiery intense as this all was, even though I needed a breather to get my heart rate down, I honestly did not want to stop being Lucy! As much as I read and live the stories, it has been a while since a book sucked me in just the same way & to the levels that Selena's Chosen by the Dragon has! I can only hope & pray & beg that Selena has plans for many, Many, MANY books because I love, Love, LOVE Chosen by the Dragon!! Selena has impressed me beyond words with her debut book! After reading this book, it’s obvious to me that Selena has a tremendous wealth of talent and a genuine gift. The ingenuity and brilliance of this story as a whole, the attention to detail, the characters, plot, storylines, the creation of the Dragon Realm and portal to our Earth, and so much more, all flawlessly come together to bring this majestic SHIFTACULAR story to life. Chosen by the Dragon had everything I look for in a shifter romance; a heroine who can be tough, but doesn’t mind her lover being dominant, an alpha male that will do anything for his woman, really hot sex scenes, and characters that grow by the end of the book.

As far as character growth goes, we get to see some from Lucy right away when she dumps her boyfriend, who treated her horribly. Over the course of the book we see Amos grow into something more than just a bodyguard who does whatever he is told, no questions asked. And I really enjoyed the Oracle, who was very amusing, and Zara, who was sweet. I hope both of them are in the other books in this series.

This book is very fast paced, and although it’s not a long book, Selena Scott wrote a complete story. I was very happy that Scott wrote the epilogue the way she did. We get a final glimpse into their lives, and she sets it up perfectly for the next book in the Dragon Realm series, The Dragon’s Touch, which is going on my TBR pile.

A very well written story. It was fun, exciting, suspenseful, mysterious and a very good sit down relaxing book. It was also hot, hot, hot. Love those dragons. This is a fantastic paranormal romance, it is well written and well told. Selena Scott created an imaginative world, with interesting storylines and characters that are complex and well developed. Lucy, living her life on earth until one night she gets thrown into another world, a world of dragon shifters. She is what the king wants, the perfect genetics to breed strong shifters. Amos, the king’s bodyguard is attracted to Lucy, he is sworn to serve the King but feels more for Lucy than he does for his King. This story is well plotted, there is never a dull moment, there is drama, angst, action, twists, great world dynamics and some steamy hot romance. Selena Scott, thank you for this great story, I am looking forward to what comes next in The Dragon Realm series, I hope it comes to audible soon.

I listened to the Audible edition, Meghan Kelly is a fantastic narrator and a talented voice artist. She brings these characters to life, giving each their own unique voice and personality, it is amazing how well she covers and performs both the male and female parts. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she projects the characters emotions and the drama of the story into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen🎧

Amos is a bodyguard to the king. It's in his DNA he can't help himself he has to protect the king. The revolution knew the only way to get him to not guard the body of the king is to put something in his way so the Oracle sets up a thing where they bring a human female into the realm .. Telling him that it is for the king and only the king can breed her during the harvest Moon. He tries to keep his hands off of Lucy but it just doesn't work he wants her to bed and she wants him. Even if she is worrying about being in another world and forced to marry and I'm noxious dragon king. She think she has time that she can get out of that world back into her own where she was living just a normal life on our way to see an art exhibit.

Audio book review

This audio story will grab your attention and have you glued till the very end . The author wrote a pair , hero and heroine, that is strong, well developed, and the narrator, Meghan Kelly nailed it .
The story is well written , there are a lot of hot scenes.

Hero is Amos. Heroine is Lucy.
Lucy and Amos have a connection, that is a insta love . They were not suppose to be together but once Amos sees the human Lucy he doesn’t want to leave her . Amos is suppose to guard Lucy and bring her to the king . The king thinks that a human and mostly Lucy will bring him strong heirs . But once Amos sees Lucy his dragon wants to claim Lucy .

Meghan performance was beyond believe . She brought the characters to life. It seemed you were right in there beside them

Lucy is taken to an alternate realm inhabited by dragon shifters. She is brought there as fresh blood for the king to mate with and she is not thrilled with her predicament. Now if she were to mate with Amos, her dragon guard, she might be singing a different tune. The two are playing a dangerous game and are hoping for a solution that leaves them both alive and preferably together.

This was very ok. Had some sexy, had some sass and a fairly interesting plot. I don't know that I would read on because overall it didn't have enough oomph, but definitely not a bad read.

Steamy, exciting and unexpected

I loved this book! I've never read this author before, but, wow, I was blown away! The storyline is interesting and extremely well written. The pace is quick, you won't get bored. The characters are realistic and act and speak like real people. The writing is tight with scenes that feed each other without unnecessary expositional drag. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

Pleasantly surprised by this delightful offering by an author new to me!
I enjoyed the sassy, forthright, bold, scrumptious heroine, Lucy, and Amos, who took a lusty nosedive into Lucy's many attractions upon meeting her. Amos goes against traits learned and inbred to have Lucy at his side.
The author infuses the story with a generous sense of humor (greatly appreciated). This is a well-told story, with a hint of a future story in this same dragon world. I'm looking forward to it!

OMG... I Loved Loved Loved Loved Loved this book. It was such a funny and cute little book. I LOVED the oracles character. He sounded like a surfer dude. It was perfect. And Lucy sounded so sweet. The narrator did an excellent job. And the way the author set up the next book... it sounds like it's going to really good. I cant wait to listen to more!!

I loved this book from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. Amos is a royal guard. It’s his destiny. His family have served the king for generations. But Amos isn’t sure about the king. Those thoughts turn treasonous when the king’s eye turn towards the woman who Amos is sure is his true mate. Is he really to give it all up for a future that may never be? You will LOVE finding out. If you’re a fan of PNR books, and dragons in particular, you’ll love this book.

Wonderful Dragon Story

Though a portal from dragon realm to the human realm to bring back a new wife for their king to breed a stronger line. But is someone keeping secrets? What could really be behind the chosen bride? This has lots of side stories, intrigue and a HEA love story, so what more could you want.

after reading scott’s “secret shifters” bear shifter series, i jumped straight into this one. this one was okay. i didn’t love it but i also didn’t hate it. the whole bodyguard trope is just HOT idc what anyone says. also this was my second dragon shifter romance and they SLAP y’all.

Dragonlys

I like this short story of finding the person that can talk and understand your feelings and emotions. Lucy being a strong woman did not let fear stop her from what she wanted. Amos learned that you can make a choice that will make a difference to all.

Short and quick read

I read somewhere that this was Scott’s first publication and it shows. This isn’t solid story telling and the plot is practically nonexistent. But it was a quick read and has a traditional happy ending.
