the parallel verses are helpful, but not the commentary. The commentary is hit or miss. Sometimes the commentary goes against what scripture says on the same pages. smh. So sad.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and the last; I am he. John 8:24

I’m in awe of the beautiful full-color pages with the time-honored KJV Bible text, hundreds of maps and images, archeological and study notes. There is also a Hebrew and Greek word-study concordance included. This treasury of divine wisdom is worth reading, rereading and memorizing. It will change your understanding of life, love, and God.

"The King James Study Bible" from Thomas Nelson contains a lot of useful information in helping people to understand the Bible better. A Bible book description and outline is included before the books of the Bible start. There are also tidbits of information included along various parts of the Bible text which sometimes include photos and pictures. Maps are also included near the Bible text that explain certain routes people in the Bible took during the Scriptures they are around. There are notes about different parts of Scripture at the bottom of the pages which also give important words in bold. Scripture passages are listed in the middle of the pages that the Scripture can be cross-referenced with. There are also some digging deeper tidbits that are included which help people to learn the deeper meanings of the Scripture it explains. The words of Jesus (Yeshua) are in red, which helps people to understand the parts of the Bible where he speaks. There are colored maps in the back of the Bible as well.

This Study Bible includes some features that I don't remember seeing in other Bibles I have reviewed such as the Jewish Calendar which explains the Hebrew days of the month, number of days in each month, month order of civil year, and month order of sacred year, a chart listing Messianic Prophecies, and a Topical Index to End Times Prophecy.

I read through the Bible books of Habakkuk and Zephaniah while reviewing this Bible. I liked that the notes at the bottom of the Scripture pages helped me to understand better what I was reading and gave me some Hebrew meanings. There were more thou, hath, and ye's in this Bible translation than I am used to reading but I got used to them after awhile and I didn't notice them so much.

I like that the Bible book descriptions use different subjects in their descriptions, such as the book of Judges explains the historical setting, and authorship (I noticed that most of the Old Testament introductions include these subjects) and the book of Acts explains the theme, authorship, date, purpose, and application (I noticed most New Testament introductions contain different subjects). I also liked that some Hebrew definitions were given throughout the first couple of chapters of Genesis and included in the notes at the bottom of the Scripture pages and that the Concordance includes some Hebrew words for the English words.

This is another Bible I am considering tabbing with Bible book pages, which tells me that I might use it a lot. It is definitely filled with much useful information in helping me to understand what I am reading in the Bible better.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this Specialty Bible free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Thomas Nelson’s King James Study Bible in the full-color edition is a beautiful choice for those seeking a helpful, conservative study Bible. My teenage son is especially into study Bibles, so when I received this Bible for review I asked him first to take it and look at it. He loved it! My review copy was cloth over board, but he says now that this is the Bible he wants in a leather edition for his high school graduation present. He already owns some other nice study Bibles from different publishers, but in his view the notes were “deeper” and he felt he would get more out of it in his studies than from other such volumes.

From my point of view, in addition to what my son appreciated, I also was impressed by the many full-color maps and charts. There were archaeological notes, personality profiles, and discussion of important Christian doctrines. Every book of the Bible had an introduction and outline and there were helpful indices and a concordance at the end. The pictures were beautiful and I agree that the notes were helpful.

I’ll have to agree with my son on ranking this volume at the top of KJV study Bibles. I can think of one other KJV study Bible that’s almost as attractive, but the notes put this volume over the top. You owe it to yourself to look over this volume if you are in the market for a KJV study Bible. You won’t be disappointed.

I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

I freely admit I love to collect Bibles. I definitely prefer the King James Version of the Bible. so it thrilled me to review this full-color study Bible. From the rich feel of the cover to the tabs of the Bible to the center-column reference, I found everything about this Bible perfect. I appreciated the notations found at the bottom of the pages. The color illustrations also add to the features of this Bible.

I found the print easy to read and the concordance at the back of the Bible to be useful. The introductions and outlines found at the beginning of each book of the Bible included useful information. For several years, I have loved having a study Bible to rely on, and this Bible definitely fits that purpose.

So check out this Bible for yourself.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

I received a complimentary copy.

Thick, beautiful bound and a little heavy, this book is filled with great stories of all different types. It is faith based and would be recommend for believers or new learners of God. Some of it may not be easy to understand and it has been interpreted for both good and bad uses, however the large print and full color makes it very nice to view. This would make an incredible gift.
