Cabot Drennan might be the sexiest man travel agent Faith Sumner has ever met, but she's not at all impressed by his idea of a romantic honeymoon. The jungle fantasy suite? Cameramen filming everything? And he has the gall to demand that Faith stand in for his betrothed, for a dry run. But the last straw is the fact that Faith would gladly put up with all of it, if she could be Cabot's bride....
Are You For Real
Charity Sumner is a scientist, not just another pretty face, and she intends to prove it! Disguising herself as a plain Jane, she ventures to win a position with the brilliant Dr. Jason Segal. But the only position Jason is interested in at the moment is horizontal. He wants a gorgeous woman to crave his body, not just his mind. Charity's more than willing to solve the devastatingly delicious doctor's problem, but how can she suddenly get real?
These funny short romances are my go-to whenever I want a quick pick-me-up. Daly's breezy style and wit makes enjoyable characters you cheer on to the quick final page.
Faith Sumner is more than just a bit of a scatterbrain. Struggling to keep the job she now has, she tries to stay focused. But, that is very difficult to do when Cabot Brennen enters the picture.
Cabot is set to marry his rising star. Hopefully this will be good for both their careers. But, as fate would have it, he meets Faith. The woman that could be the love of his life, if he wasn't already getting married. And having Faith pose as his new bride is not making things any easier.
Charity Sumner has always been the beauty of the family. She would prefer to be the brains. And work with worms, but life does not work like that. Going in for an interview to work her dream job, she disguises her beauty, but ends up creating a nightmare.
Jason Segal has always been the brain, but he wants to be wanted for more than that. His new assistant Charity might fit the bill, if she just had more confidence in herself and her looks. Finding out she has been lying to him all along shakes up his future dreams, and wounds his heart. Can he find his way back to Charity?
This short story is "not quite" As in not quite funny, romantic, or interesting enough to be entertaining. It definitely was too long and the first story was... Yawn, where was I? Oh yeah...too boring to read the 2nd one.
