The Victor’s know nothing but war. It has shaped them and changed them in ways that they didn’t think possible.
Now is not the time to lament on the friends lost, the wounds gained. The medics might be able to patch them up, but they can’t heal their minds.
Harmony is making their play for Earth and the Troopers will be there to greet them. The Victors are finally going home over two hundred years since they left for Sacremon.
The last system-wide battle between the EHC and Harmony is about to begin.
Michael Chatfield is a Canadian Army veteran and international bestselling author who writes the kind of books he always wanted to read—character-driven, gritty, tactical, and grounded in reality.
He doesn’t write one-dimensional killers wrapped in plot armor, charging toward an objective without thought. His stories are built for readers who want earned progression, tight, understandable logic, and realistic strategy. Every stat system has structure. Every decision is deliberate (except when there is Jaeger involved).
And the pacing? It's locked at two hundred percent. From alleyway brawls to starship armadas clashing over galactic sovereignty, from tactical dungeon assaults to city-states warring over a continent’s fate—Chatfield commits to every battle like it’s his last.
With millions of books and audiobooks sold, and tens of thousands of reviews his work spans LitRPG, military sci-fi, fantasy, and post-apocalyptic survival. He writes for readers who value systems that make sense, loyalty that lasts, and power that’s earned, not handed out.
Whether you're listening on a long drive, grinding through a shift, or up past midnight planning the next in-game raid—this is where you’ll find sagas to binge. Where strength is earned, logic rules, and camaraderie is forged in fire.

There's no real payoff to the series here. The story just ends. The major plot points of the assassins, or Victor Corp are never resolved. There is no epilogue to let us know who retires to do what. Do our heroes die to rando offscreen assassins? Do they get recruited? Does M do anything with the data chip he was given? What happens with W3C? Why do so much setup work in this book and drop it all at the end? Did the author run out of time?
So after reading the whole series and this whole book, there is no payoff. The last few chapters of the book seem to be missing; it just ends as if there is another chapter.
There are also several proof reading errors, actions being attributed to the wrong characters, grammar, etc.
Close up your powered armor for Rip Snortin' action
Michael Chatfield's Earth is a wall-to-wall battle! Anyone who is into detailed military ground combat. You will love this book as it progresses from battle preparations to the final dire faceoff. Highly entertaining and fast paced. Highly recommended
Unsatisfying ending. Assassins sent out to kill the protagonists and...nothing?
Happy ending but no resolution? Meh.
The bad guys fighting the good guys with nothing of the third party (Roma Legions) actually getting there? Mark never mentions to anyone that he was awakened and propositioned by some stranger on Fernix? Ever? Meh.
Besides the technical writing errors throughout, the story had so many inconsistencies that it became frustrating to read. The final fighting sections were meaningless battles back and forth until...hooray, the good guys win! The end. No resolution. No retribution against the plot against them. No reuniting with Nerva. Meh.
Definitely can't recommend the series.
