Very good hardcover (no jacket; printed boards). The lightest of wear to external corners; pages are clean and sound. TS

This book is very very funny. All of ‘what’s left of the Stinkers’ is funny. You get to be part of the story by smiling. One of my favourite chapters is ‘Raining cats and dogs’ - it doesn’t have any letters in it, it just shows you the cat Stinker (Sourpuss) raining down.

‘The Great Smile Robbery’ by Roger McGough was one of my introductions to how FUN the English language could be; with its irrelevant, surrealist humour, its darkly comic characters and its ‘Monty Python for kids’ style plot.
Love this.

Read this about 35 years ago and still think of it fondly. A great little story.
