Romance author Abigail Collins has an epic writer’s block following a breakup with her boyfriend. She decides to stay at her grandpa’s cabin in Cub’s Cove to nurse her broken heart while working on her new novel. But she can’t write romantic scenes when all she can think about is how to strangle the main male character seven ways to Sunday for his lying, cheating, bast—okay, she’s stuck. Big time. Uh-oh. Seeing her in a rut, her best friends, Tiffany and Carmen, drag her to a local speed-dating event to get her out of her funk. Tiger shifter Michael Kage chooses Cub’s Cove for his self-imposed exile, away from his clan’s dangerous, back-stabbing politics. Even though he enjoys the new town, one thing in his life is still he yearns for a mate. So when he hears the local bar is hosting a speed-dating event, he’s the first in line to buy a ticket. That night, just as Michael thinks the speed-dating event is a bust, he sees a gorgeous a curvaceous goddess with silken hair and beautiful, sad eyes. He knows he has found his mate. But before he even has the chance to learn her name, they switch to other partners. Head over heels for having met his perfect woman, Michael has to find his Cinderella because that unforgettable woman holds the missing part of his heart.
Lizzie Lynn Lee was a guitarist, receptionist, executive assistant, tarot reader, boutique owner, and graphic artist before she discovered that writing is her dream job. The advantage is that she can do it in her pajamas and socks.
She's an incurable chatterbox, heavy metal aficionado, bookworm, digital enthusiast, and a night owl since most of her stories were done in the wee hours of the morning because of her caffeine-induced insomnia.
These days she still plays her guitar whenever she gets bored staring at her computer's screen or plotting the most elaborate scheme of world domination. Fortunately, she has a chronically short attention span.
A villámranditól lassan eljutnak a rendes randevúkig, megismerik egymást, egymásba szeretnek, happy end. Kellemes esti olvasmány. :)
This was a cute quick story, that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Abby's a writer hiding out at her Grandfather's old cabin not really writing and definitely not moving forward with her life after finding her fiancee in bed with her friend. Two of her longtime girl friends drag her out to a speed dating event and there she meets Michael Gage.
Michael is a White Tiger Shifter who is hiding out from his pack, here in the small town of Cub's Cove. He attends the speed dating event in hopes of meeting someone special - but feels it's a lost cause until he gets a quick glimpse of Abby.
There was a bit of the "insta mate thing" - but I did like how Michael set out to "court" Abby and took the time to get to know her before all the heat and hormones took over!
This book had me laughing my butt off within the first few pages and this following quote is only one of the many that had me snickering.
Favorite Quote: "She lived in a fantasy realm where unicorns shot rainbow lasers from their asses and everybody lived happily ever after."
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this Advanced Readers Copy.
The book was not bad but I would have enjoyed it more if the story had evolved a little more. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed what I read but I love my characters a lot more fleshed out. The author gave you some back story on Michael's background and why he ended up in Cub's Cove.
Abigail's character lacked confidence and this was a little off putting. She accepted bad behaviors in old boyfriends but procrastinated in contacting when Michael showed interest.
I would love to see the author enhance this book in the future with updates on what has been going on in their lives and Michael's old pack.
For this being a book about an authour, I had higher expectations, which were not met. There were grammar issues and it lacked proper world building. There was no real conflict, or pivotal moment, just a lot of blah.
3.5 stars due to shortness of story. The blurb tells the story pretty much so I won’t add to it. Just a good fun light hearted read without any angst or silliness. Not a lot of romance but some hot sex scenes. Liked both Abigail and Michael and their accompanying friends and family. Loved the brain constipation line. Brilliant, I bet that is how authors feel at times. This is my honest review of this book.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest!
This was a cute read! As the title implies, a tigershifter goes on a speed dating event to find his mate. Little did he know that he would actually meet his mate. Abby is a romance writer. She thought that spending time at her grandfather's house would help w/ her writer's block Michael thought that he had lost Abby after the speed dating event I loved the ending. It was a lovely HEA.
This was a quick enjoyable and entertaining read. About a couple who come together by a speed dating event no major issues or drama. So if your looking for a quick PNR go right ahead and one click this bad boy. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.
White male tiger shifter finding his fated female mate. I liked. She is human. She is also plus sized but this story doesn't let her be constantly down on herself for it. I love this. Especially the hot trusts that happens between these two. I read the epub version.

In this book we meet Abigail Collins and Michael Kage. Michael is an self-imposed exiled tiger who is trying to make it on his own in Cub's Cove. He decides one night to go to the local speed dating event not thinking anything will come off of it but tries anyway. Little did he know his entire life would change that night. Can he handle the changes or will he have to run away again/
Abigail is a writer who is having writers block since she caught her now ex cheating on her. Her friends never did like him and are ready to help her get back on the dating scene. Also her friend Donna who lost her fiance years ago is willing to do this with her. Now both girls are going to the local speed dating night, little did either of them know how that would turn out. Can she give her heart away again or will her fear of commitment hold her up again.
This is a great short story. It will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
This was a really sweet romantic story. Abigail Collins writes romance novels. But ever since she was betrayed by her boyfriend, the words just won't come to her. After hiding out in her family's cabin in the woods for a few months, she is finally coerced by her friends into participating in a local speed dating event. AND she meets a guy she likes. But her broken heart makes her wary and so she takes his number but doesn't call. But a few weeks later that same hunky guy is knocking on her door.
Michael Kage is a loner but he's tired of being lonely. So when he meets the woman who might be his true mate at a speed dating event, he holds back because he doesn't trust his instincts right away. And then when he knocks on the cabin door of his late friend and Abigail is the one who opens the door he knows that he can't ignore the inevitable anymore.
I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration.
I really enjoyed this story! It was a cute, quick read. Abby and Michael meet at a speed dating event and both are immediately drawn to each other. Michael is a white tiger shifter and so knows immediately that Abby is his mate but she's human so she doesn't. Michael knows that he has to court her but he isn't quite sure how to do it. He doesn't have much practice and both Abby and Michael are a little shy. They run into each other a short while later when Michael stops by her house on accident. I loved the little connections that they had and the way that their relationship built. The sex is explicit but not very frequent. I loved the characters. Nothing major happens in the story to ever throw a wrench in their relationship. I liked the way that things flowed and worked out. This was a feel good story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Quick, funny, and attention getting. I got this book just before the Thanksgiving holiday (Canadian here) and wanted enough time to enjoy the books so I waited to the end of Nov. to read it...I shouldn't have waited as I could have been laughing much sooner. A romance novelist who is missing a key piece of her work in her life... romance. And without her own romane occurring she seems to have encountered writer's block A Tiger shifter who finds his mate, but not wasn't looking..... add in speed dating where you don't get each other's name...and the chase is on.... and what a merry time they and you have as their story evolves.
I would recommend a buy on this for anyone looking for a quick fun read
This book is such a heartwarming read. You will love the characters. Abigail has come home to her grandfathers cabin to escape from a broken romance. She meets up again with her two best friends Tiffany and Carmen who take her off to a speed dating event to cheer her up. She meets Michael a tiger shifter who is looking for his mate. When he meets Abigail her knows she is the one for him. They did not get a chance to trade names a t the event. He goes out to Abigails grandfathers cabin because he was good friends with him and wants to do repairs on the cabin for the new owner and gets a nice surprise . He offers to do repairs on her cabin for free if she will go on a date with him. Abigail agrees. Michael is so sweet. Thank you to Lizzie Lynn Lee for the wonderful review copy. Loved it.
Michael recognized her as his mate the first time he saw her. Talking with her during the speed dating only confirmed it. It was instant attraction between them. Abby doesn't get a chance to introduce herself belt her friend tells Michael her name. Between Abby's insecurities and timing not being right, time passes before Michael stops in to offer his carpentry services and is delighted to see her again. They court and fall in fall in love. Michael reveals he is a white tiger shifter and Abby is cool with it. After six months during a first time meeting with Abby's family, he proposes and Abby accepts. She also adds that she is pregnant with Michael's child.
This is a sweet paranormal romance about a woman who has a hard breakup and tries to get away to recover her happiness. She is pushed to enter a speed dating event and meets a very interesting man there who she connects with right away. He is a tiger shifter and knows he has found his mate. It takes them some time to work thru their pasts and try to create a happier future. It is well-written and the characters are likable and easy to relate to. They have good chemistry and I like that he is really honest with her and open about his past.
Tiger Speed Dating is a fun, laugh out load story of the angst and frustration of a woman with writer’s block and her inability to separate her personal emotions and anger when writing about her story heroes, who are actually meant to capture their females hearts.
The incorporation of the whole speed dating scenario is hilarious and makes for a wonderful and engaging tale, and some very interesting encounters between Abigail and Michael.
Always a quick read, Ms Lee’s stories are devoured in one sitting.
You just never know how speed dating is going to turn out! Abby was just adorable and Michael a sweet hunk. I loved the direction that Abby and Michael took with their meeting and courting. I enjoyed that Abby was so real, even using Michael as her muse. And that Michael looked to take care of her by taking care of her home. Tiffany's side story with Jason provided a nice addition to round out Abby's life in Cub's Cove. Maybe we'll get to know more about Abby's friends in the next stories.
This is a sweet uncomplicated PNR romance. They meet at a speed dating event and both are drawn to each other. They meet later and get to know each other and fall in love without any angst or silliness. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.
Please let there be more books for Abby and Michael... I loved this book it was a quick read that hit the spot between much larger books. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
