Rachel has just finished her junior year of university and is looking for an internship to help her prove her worth in her veterinary program. Daniel is just starting to take over the business of running his family's ranch and could use a little more support with the animals Thanks to a university professor that connects the two of them, Rachel is spending her summer interning on the ranch.
While we all come with our baggage, Rachel comes with more than most, saddled with severe anxiety related to a car accident that occurred a couple years ago. Due to the scars that canvas her body, she feels less than whole, and needs someone to help her see the incredible person she really is. And Daniel believes he is the man for the job.
While plenty of people try to get in their way, their core family and friends are cheering them on. Will they make the most of things and start their life together?

I am a little on the fence about this book. I would have given four stars if it wasn't for the few grammatical errors and a couple scenes I found a little slow. If you are a fan of Roberts or contemporary romance then I would definitely recommend. The story itself was beautiful as a whole. I was able to connect with the characters and experience their emotions fluidly. The antagonist was written in a way that was believable, and I even felt sorry for her at times. I wish the author had ended the story with a little more, not that it didn't have an HEA I just wanted more closure. I did receive a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
Hard to believe that someone who is the helm of a sizeable horse farm would risk hitting on, let alone dating, a college summer intern. This plot-line for love, combined with the "insta-love" between the characters makes this a difficult stretch. We won't even get into heroine Rachel's demons regarding accepting her body, dealing with emotional dating trauma or her flip-flop between assertiveness and wallflower behavior.
Then the ick factor of "hero"
This is the second novel I've tried by this author...suffice it to say, there won't be a third.
Theis book was descent. Everytime it started getting good it would just get dull. The story line was food but the telling of it just made me want to close it with every page turn. Im afraid i just cant bring myself to read the next books in the series. Im sure the atiry linea will be good and i love the family but i can not read them if the make me sleep rather than read
This was a quick somewhat rushed book. I enjoyed it a lot, but it was so rushed. Not much chemistry and quite a few grammatical errors.
Rachel is an intern on Daniel's family ranch for the summer. She spends some time avoiding him and yet at the end of the summer they are engaged. I hope to read about the wedding in the next book.
If you are looking for a cute sweet quick read then I do recommend this book.
I kept waiting I got for this story to get better, but it didn't. There didn't seem to be any real chemistry between Daniel and Rachel. Definitely had to force myself to finish this one.
After putting it down several times, I'm giving up.
Rachel is interning on a huge ranch and has caught the eye of Daniel. He is one of the sons of the owner and has just taken over running the ranch. He interviews Rachel and immediately gives her the job.
Then this story starts to drag...Too wordy, too slow, idk! Some drama from a previous hook-up Daniel had, etc.
I have no idea how this ends, and it could turn out to be a wonderful book, but for me I'm out.
I enjoyed the story and I hope to see some of the wedding in the next one but one thing I really do not enjoy is spelling errors and really bad grammar.
Okay I'm not talking about adjectives and adverbs and stuff I'm talking about having to completely change a word to make the sentence make sense. You understand what I mean? I read a lot and honestly I read more books with spelling and grammar issues it drives me crazy. In this day and age with computers and editors please tell me what gives? I am honestly willing to proofread books and fix the spelling and grammar errors for free.
I'm starting Hot Sergeant now so I pray the story line is as good as Hot Cowboy but I hope and pray not so many errors. It really brings a good book down.
Daniel and Rachel's story was beautiful. All the sadness and hurt that Rachel has endured in her young life is more than anyone should have to go through! Getting the opportunity to intern on a ranch for the summer is the chance she is longing for. But she isn't expecting Daniel, his good looks or his determination. I loved this book. It was hot, passionate and beautiful. I couldn't stop reading.
I kept this book on the back burner for a short time. Big mistake. This was seriously a great story. From the ranch to the best love shared I have had the pleasure to read in a while. It's a great lesson in how to take the high road. Thank you for a bunch of Great reading time.
