One look, and I'm stone hard. One night, and she's carrying my baby.

When I’m not riding my bike, I’m riding a woman, and no one does it better than me. If they want more than a night, they can hit the road.

Until I meet her.

Joanna Jensson. She’s everything I’m not. Innocent. Good. And her faintest smile gets my c*ck rock hard. I want to feel her soft skin beneath my calloused hands, and I want her screaming my name into her pillow.

One night with her was all I got before my own MC set me up and landed me in prison.

But when I learn she had my baby, it’s going to take more than a few metal bars to keep me from protecting my family.

I’m coming back. And I’m coming hard.

This is a standalone, full-length MC romance with panty-soaking romance and a rock-hard bad boy. Happily ever after guaranteed.

This book is better than the title and the cheesy ad line 'One look and I'm Stone Hard. One night and she's carrying my baby' would suggest.
Joanna is looking for a fresh start, she's left her cheating ex boyfriend in Denver and she's starting a fresh life with her old college roommate Jane in Phoenix.
She turned off the I-17 to drive the isolated back roads which is a bit of a gamble when you're travelling alone in an unreliable car. Anyway her battery dies and her phone runs out of charge.
Now at this point I'm thinking I'll be lucky to make it through the first chapter, I hate stupid women in books and so far Joanna hasn't shown much sign of intelligence. But I continued on and while she has another couple of questionable moments Joanna proves to not be a complete idiot.
Anyway back to the book.
So she's broken down on an isolated road, there's been no traffic in ages but luckily a hot sexy tattooed biker comes driving past.
The pacing on this book seemed strange at times, certain events just seemed to be glossed over while others are explained away. Being honest I wanted more on the club, the betrayal and the members. I found it difficult to accept that Stone had always been in the MC but he didn't have any real close bonds like you'd expect, the type built over time.
This didn't ever feel completely like an MC book, they had a President and a next inline that was it. There was no mention of a Vice President, Enforcer, Road Captain etc
But there's nothing new here, it's the same story we've read time and time before and while I used to love MC books I'm starting to get a little tired of them.
This book has all the elements you'd expect in an MC book and for the most part it works okay. If I'd noticed the cheesy ad line I'd have skipped straight past so I suspect
I'm not the target audience but I received an email asking if I'd like an advanced reader copy of a new MC romance and I agreed.

ARC received from author.

Joanna Jensson is driving to Phoenix, Arizona to get away from her cheating boyfriend only to break down along side the road. Joanna really needs to get back on the road. A handsome stranger on a motorcycle comes to her rescue. Stone Harding sees a beautiful woman stranded on the road side sets his blood on fire like no other woman has before. Stone considers himself to be a bad man but Joanna sees him differently. One night of passion leads to something unexpected~a baby. Can Stone be the man Joanna needs? Will Stone learn of his son? Will Stone and Joanna have a future together? Your answers await you in Stone Hard.

This new to me author didn't pull any punches in this story. I loved the characters alot! The characters and story were compelling, real, raw, gritty, brutally honest, complex, and down to earth too. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

This is my first book by new author Melinda Minx, and for a debut book, it was a great read. If you're a fan of MC romance stories filled with action, drama, danger, suspense, betrayal, blackmail, trust, forgiveness, heart-stopping emotions, love, and a HEA... then Stone Hard is the book to read.

Pretty good for a biker book! Stone was a really decent guy considering all the horrible, criminal acts he was forced to commit by his motorcycle club. But to keep Logan and Joanna safe, Stone will do whatever is necessary.

This is ok, not bad. Not anything I'd re-read. Don't read review if you don't want spoiler**********

*********************Spoilers:
Within 48 hours of meeting, he gives her a ride when he she had car trouble, bumps into her later that night at the biker bar he hangs at and she's begun working at. Rescues her from a bad brother, takes her home after they promise it will be one night only, bonks her brains out. Leaves in the morning and that night he gets set up to go to prison.

3 years later, she's ignored every letter he sent and has a 2 year old son. He cuts a deal with the cops to get out of jail if he helps them take down the big bad leader of his former club and that's when he finds out he has a son. The two of them pretty much pick up where they left off, he immediately tells her his deal with the cops. He takes care of business, one kidnapping later they are reunited and Epilogue: 8 years later, he's MC free and they are HEA. The End.

Joanna is heading West through the desert when her car breaks down. Along comes a hot Biker by the name of Stone. He gives her a ride into town on his bike and the sparks fly. They agree to and experience a one-night-stand with no strings attached and then they go their separate ways, but with lingering regrets. MC club politics coupled with treason, treachery and murder sets Stone up for a fall. A lover of MC drama and romance will be in book heaven with this story. Stone's life becomes incredibly complicated with an exciting twist. Lots of action to keep one mesmerized and with heart-warming romance. I  voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

Stone silly

Ummmmm this book is a little *hard* to review. At times it felt rushed but other times a little childish. The boy was a little annoying. Also they screw once and he can't stop thinking about her ummmm. At times he is a little alpha other times not so much. To bad we didn't get more info on the characters in the beginning. This isn't a terrible book but it needs to be tweaked and more added.

I wished there was more of an epilogue.... it was not clear if he went back to jail to finish his sentence or not... I felt the it was not the best ending over all

So a pretty typical MC story. It was a quick read but a lot of scenes seemed quite rushed. I wasn’t a fan of the two MC’s. He was sexist and arrogant and she was a ditzy idiot. Who on earth drives their car through the back streets of a desert she’s never been to with a piece of junk car that she knows could break down at any moment? And surprise, surprise it does. Cue meeting. I did shake my head a couple of times. For example when she ended up having unprotected sex with this guy, who she knows has slept with lots of woman?! What the? Would have been more believable if the condom broke resulting in the pregnancy. I also wasn’t a fan of a lot of the interactions between them and their son. I know writing 2 year olds is hard, but there just seemed to be a lot of dumbing down and fart jokes. Really? I was hoping for something a bit more meaningful.
I will admit though there was a couple of little story surprises I didn’t see coming that I thought worked well and I did start to like the male MC as the story progressed.

What do you get with one rough MC rider and a sweet woman.

A wonderful story. Stone and Jo met when Jo's car finally gives out as she is driving to a new job, in a different state, to stay with her college roommate. She had gone off the main grid and took a lesser travelled road. Very dumb move,Jo!
Out in the Arizona desert, it was hotter than Hades and here she was dressed in only a sundress.
Finally she hears a noise and sees a blinding light headed for her. Then she hears it. It's a motorcycle. What does she know about bikers? Not much. When he finally gets to her, he is all muscles and bulging veins. The only way the car will get fixed is for her to ride the bike to Phoenix with him strateling his bike ,he gets... Stone Hard.
I really liked this book. I willingly read this book for an honest review. You need to willingly read it.

A short story that requires a pretty big suspension of disbelief. The unprotected sex with what Joanna deemed a biker gang bad boy and neither one of them even said, "Oops!" ? It was the icing on the SOD cake of the book. Another reading irritation for me is spoiled brats in a book. Logan cried at everything. Joanna admits she spoiled him with toys, but I am a believer in most children should be "seen" in a romance and not heard. Too many times they are poorly written as "cutesy brats than realistic children and it detracts from the romance.
The ending seemed to be rushed and the short epilogue seemed to be written to help with the quick ending.

Overall it was a decent story that needs some work to make it a really good story.

Joanna is looking for a fresh new start after she's screwed over by her boyfriend. On the way she has car troubles and is rescued by Stone. There's a definite spark between the 2. Don't want to give the whole book away, but Stone only promises Joanna one night as he doesn't think he's good enough for her as he part of a MC and has down some questionable things. Because of a dispute amongst the MCs, we see Stone being sent to prison. Fast forward 3 years and he's out (need to read to find out how that comes about) and he finds out he has a son!!!! He wants to make it right this time for his family and would go to any lengths so see it done.

Loved this book read it in one sitting 😍

Although I don't like biker stories, I must admit that I really enjoyed Stone Hard by Melinda Minx. I cannot believe what Lenk did to Stone and then framed him. Was really happy that Stone would give up being in the MC to be with Jo and their son Logan. I didn't think that Stone would be able to rescue Jo and Logan from Lenk, but was happy when he did. I also thought that when he told the men on the bus his name was Lenk, it was a very clever thing to do. I would recommend the book to others.

Just okay.

Wasn't great but wasn't bad. Both characters were likeable and had chemistry. Good story overall and had some drama/excitement. Where it fell short for me was the ending. It felt rushed. And left me with a lot of questions. Did he go to jail? What happen with the police? There was just a big gap in time that left you guessing. I did also want for them to have another baby too so Stone could see everything he missed with Logan but nope. Story overall was enjoyable.

Great first book

Loved Joanne and Stone!!! Joanne wants a first start. Stone wants to get a step up but makes a mistake. Three long years to wait. Will Joanne and Stone get the ending they desire or do things go badly wrong? Get first book by Melinda. Can't wait to see what she brings to the table.

How I managed to finish this book is beyond me. The h made me cringe for majority of the book. I literally sat my kindle down multiple times, but I can't stand not finishing something.

1.7 Stars. Not my cup of tea. I like MC books but this one lacks substance. If you're looking for a quick read that has a MC theme, adult fun times, and don't care too much about the story this book is for you.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It was nonstop WONDERFUL!! I'll admit that a one time encounter producing an unbreakable love is still foreign to me. But hell miracles do happen.

I actually really enjoyed this book. I found both main characters likable and easy to relate to. Yes, they got together quite fast but it wasn't really insta-love exactly, but it did take a little more open-mindedness to be okay with them having such a strong attachment within basically twenty-four hours of meeting and being together before the book really amped up.

I found the MC aspect pretty well written as well. Which I appreciated. It had a realness to it and at times even reminded me of my all time fave show Sons of Anarchy, so that was nice.

Overall I enjoyed this book and appreciated it for what it gave me. I do wish there was an "I love you" scene and maybe just a touch more romance to the couple's interactions although I did enjoy them I think if they'd had a little more intimate/romance aspect this book would've been just perfect for me. Otherwise it was a good solid read with some steamy scenes mixed in with some drama, angst and a little suspense. Worth reading.

I enjoyed the book. I liked the story idea I just wish there was more... more character build for sure. Also I feel there could have been one or two more chapters before the epilogue. The ending just was not as satisfying as I hoped.

Recently jilted by her cheating boyfriend, good-girl Joanna is on her way to Arizona to move in with her best friend and start a new life. Unfortunately her car didn’t get the memo that she didn’t need more bad news, so it up and died in the middle of the Arizona desert and left her overheating, stranded and helpless.

Along comes lone MC member Stone, returning to Phoenix after roughing up some out of town competitors. He pulls over and despite his teasing and flirting, does actually come to her rescue and gets her going again. He follows her en route to her friend’s house to make sure that the car limps her all the way to her new home and of course it breaks down again. This time they abandon it and her few belongings at the side of the highway to be towed later and Jo gets on Stone’s bike for her first ever motorcycle ride. The cozy ride into the city ends up being one long session of foreplay, but for the time being they go their separate ways once Jo gets to her destination.

Desperate for a new job, Jo hopes to get shifts at the college bar where her friend Jane works, but even though they don’t need the extra help, one of the owner’s friends is hiring elsewhere. This is how Jo finds herself working at a biker bar. When Stone rescues her again, this time from the skeevy hands of the boss of his MC, they throw caution to the wind and agree to have one incredible night together.

The very next day, Stone is betrayed by someone in his MC and finds himself being sentenced to 6 years in prison. Joanna doesn’t ever hear from him and she doesn’t contact him either. Even though she really should have let him know that while he was behind bars, he became a daddy.

When Stone is released and meets his young son, he knows immediately that he will do anything to protect Joanna and their son. He wants to get out of the MC and get his life back on track, but before he can walk away he needs to run one more huge job for the MC.
Can Stone keep his promise and become a family man for Jo and their son?

Really excellent MC romance novel! Tons of great suspense and twists that I didn’t see coming. Also, watching a super, sexy, sweet tough guy fall in love and adjust to becoming a daddy? Melted my heart.

Standalone. No cliffhanger. HEA.

Stone Hard is about Joanna and Stone.

We meet Joanna on the road from Denver to Phoenix, having left her cheating boyfriend for a fresh start. The problem is, her old car is not road worthy and it finally gives out and she coasts to a stop on the side of a two lane backroad. Right when she's about to give up hope, Stone rides up on his motorcycle. After jumping her battery, Stone follows Joanna to make sure she gets to town, but her car gives out again. Stone then gives her a ride on his bike to her friend's house and tells her he'll get her car towed and looked at.

Joanna's original job prospect doesn't pan out but she gets an offer to be a bartender at a biker bar instead. She jumps at the chance, hoping she'll see Stone again. It turns out, the biker bar is his MC's hangout, so they do see each other. But things don't go so well with Joanna and one of the seedy MC guys, and Stone rescues her. She agrees with Stone that she doesn't want to keep working there and their attraction to each other gives way to a heated makeout session behind the bar and then Stone takes Joanna back to his place for one night of hot sex. He makes her promise it will only be the one time.

After their super hot night of sex, Stone takes off while Joanna's still asleep. He goes off to run a raid on a rival MC's meth lab and he ends up shot, his friend dead, and the threat that Joanna will be harmed if he doesn't take the rap for the whole thing. He winds up in prison, never knowing that their one night together created a child. We jump to three years later and Stone finds out that he has a son with Joanna and now has a way out of prison, back to claim his family, and get back at the members of the MC who set him up. He goes for it and seeks out Joanna.

I don't give spoilers, so that's as much of the story as I'll give. I really loved this debut novel from Melinda Minx. I found myself sneaking off at work to read so I could find out what happens next. This book was great: it had a good story for both main characters, super hot sex scenes, the story was told in both POV's (which I love - I always want the guy's thoughts!), funny moments, action, and great side characters (loved Logan!). Get your copy and find out what happens with Stone and Joanna!
