Brand New! Floured Felonies, the 27th Donut Mystery from New York Times Bestselling Author Jessica Beck!
When an ice storm hits April Springs, it freezes more than the trees and power-lines as one of the town’s residents perishes outside. But soon Suzanne and Grace learn that it wasn’t the cold that killed Santa-suit wearing Greg Whitmore, but a bullet instead. The women must do their best to figure out who killed the banker before someone else gets frozen out, permanently.

Jessica Beck loves donuts, and has the figure to prove it. It's amazing what people can convince themselves is all in the name of research! For each recipe featured in the donut mysteries, a dozen more are tried and tested.
When not concocting delicious treats, Beck enjoys the rare snowfalls near her home in the foothills of North Carolina.
These are just no goo, honestly, but they’re so charming and simple that I can’t stay away. If you just zone out and consume it with zero thought, it’s kind of like holding your brain under a faucet while staring blankly at yourself in the mirror. 2.75/5
Suzanne's town has an ice storm. Then she finds a dead body and, to top it off, she has a tree fall on her donut shop! She has a lot to do in this one. She finds she has a lot of friends in her town. This happens just before Christmas. Enjoy!
Love visiting April Springs! Another great book in this series. Suzanne and Grace investigate after a man is found murdered during an ice storm. Lots of suspects and intriguing turns. I can't wait to continue catching up with the great characters in this series!
Even though the book isn’t real the actions of the characters are very real. Even though I enjoyed the book a part of me was sad. Sad for people and what they do and sad for how their actions hurt others.
Another great book in the Donut Mysteries! I love that I can sit down and have a complete mystery in an afternoon of reading! Really enjoying this series!
As usual, Suzanne is annoying, the writing is pretty bad, and the author says some real sexist stuff! That's getting worse than it ever was. There are descriptions of women from a woman's POV and it's totally something a man would think - and it's not great.
Also - what the heck, Suzanne? Donut Hearts gets bashed by a tree and Suzanne's mom organizes people to work on the shop immediately. She later refers to her mom as "not a saint" and I'm like, are you freaking kidding me right now?! Her mom jumps to help whenever there's a problem, in a kind and respectful way, takes care of things Suzanne does not (because she's too busy, doesn't think of it, or doesn't know how) and is a freaking hero, and Suzanne puts her down. It's quite irritating.
I really, really, really want a clown to show up again and Suzanne gets her just desserts.
Donuts and a murder mystery to solve are a good combination.
If Suzanne and her best friend Grace are on the case, no doubt they will find the murderer. Them two do not mess around. I just love their friendship and how they crack cases.
Suzanne and her mother and their bond is the sweetest. Also her getting a better relationship with her mothers husband.
The town banding together after a ice storm and helping Suzanne get her shop back in order and just being the sweetest ever. Made me all mushy knowing that they have her back no matter what.
A wonderful cozy mystery series. Of course always making me want a donut
I just love this series . Can't wait for the next book. As always this book is full of twists and turns with a surprise ending . If you've not read this series , you are missing out.
