Married and with a new baby, life has never looked better for Ava. It's almost perfect. 'Baby Steps' is the 5th and final part of Nico and Ava's story from the 'Honeymoon Series', a contemporary romance series set in Italy.
When a horrific car accident forces Nico to recuperate at home, rest is the last thing on his mind. With plans to open his new dream hotel thwarted, his simmering anger and frustration soon spill over into his personal life.
Struggling to cope with her business and the demands of a new baby, Ava finds that life has suddenly turned harder.
Tempers fray, disagreements abound, love fractures. Faced with obstacles that threaten their livelihood, cracks appear in their once solid love for one another.
The romance that began in Venice seems a far distant memory. Is this true love? Or another mistake?

Lily Zante is the author of over sixty contemporary romance and women's fiction novels. After spending two decades working in IT, she decided to give writing another try. Given her love of The Walking Dead, she started off writing zombie fiction but quickly dove into writing romance instead. She's glad she switched.
Thank you for the opportunity of continuing to be part of your Arc. I've tremendously enjoyed reading this story and the conclusion of Nico and Ava's story. It was as remarkable as the first four, their love has no limits and together they surpassed that were layed out before them. Intrigued as always and I do look forward to more of your books!
What a wonderful conclusion to a great series. I loved taking the journey with Ava and Nico so much. This installment made me think of my own relationship having so many relatable aspects, how I responded the same way in some the the situations in my own life. This story was very true to life for sure. The struggles ARE real no matter who you are!! Loved it!!
Great series. The last book in Nico and Ava's story. I enjoyed each book and am looking forward to the next series. The characters and their emotions and responses to real life situations are easy to relate to.
This is the final book in the Honeymoon Series featuring Ava and Nico. Lily Zante never disappoints! Each book in the series keeps up the interest level, so that after finishing one book one has to read the next in the series.
I have written some quite detailed reviews of the four books leading up to this one, "Baby Steps," all of which apply here.
The most annoying and space-wasting theme throughout this book has been the constant bickering and prolonged bitter silences between Ava and Nico, taking up what appears to be at least seventy percent of the writing.
We all could understand that with both of them working so hard, all the while having to look after a little baby must be draining and with being so tired, the first item to go is the previously hot and heavy love life.
That said, readers did not need to witness the stress and arguing throughout so much of the book. All that was required was a couple of short chapters, with occasional references peppered through the storyline.
The simplest solution was obvious but was not mentioned until the last chapter or two. Just as a cook/cleaner was hired a couple of books ago, something as simple so as to give both MCs some well-earned stress relief was the hiring of a competent nanny...
I'll now move on to the companion "Italian Summer" series, which fills in the gaps from Book 4 onwards, dealing with the lives of the secondary characters' lives.
I've read this entire series. It's well written and extremely enjoyable. There author has a gift with words. And the flow along very nicely. You can feel yourself there watching on as things happen. This series will appeal to a lot of different types of readers.Great yourself to a great winter read. Just sit back, open the first page and you will never look back.
I'm a little sad that Ava and Nico's story has come to an end. This book was exactly what I expected for the final installment - a little tension, a bit of drama, and a very happy ending. I'm looking forward to reading the spin offs from this series.
Enjoyed the series, such a good read the author knows how to reel you in. Such a good story teller making it so hard to leave. I have one complaint however I'm loosing too much sleep because I just can't put the book down???
Great, complex characters and story line. Intriguing locations and problems with room for more stories. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and look forward to more.
