Good book. Gunner is a rodeo bronc rider who enjoys his laid-back lifestyle. He participates in some rodeos, enjoys the attentions of the buckle bunnies, and moves on. Commitment is not a word that exists in his vocabulary and doesn't see himself ever settling down. He is loyal to his family, however, even though they are constantly on his case about his lack of ambition. When he isn't rodeoing, he is the part-time manager of his grandfather's Moonlight Motel. It doesn't get much business, but that's alright with him.
Lydia Canter is an interior designer. Her Aunt Amelia owns the mortgage on the motel and is determined to force the owner into renovating. Amelia hires Lydia to do the renovations. Lydia is okay with spending a couple weeks in Stampede to get things going, but she wants to get back to her life in Wisconsin. She has seen her friends settling down and she's ready to find her own Mr. Right. She has very specific ideas on what she's looking for and has signed up on several dating sites to find it. Motel manager and cowboy Gunner doesn't meet any of those requirements, but he does light off some sparks in her.
I enjoyed the development of their relationship. Gunner is Lydia's help in doing the renovation. She doesn't consider him very reliable, since he keeps taking off to do rodeos or other fun activities. Gunner thinks Lydia is a bit uptight and too work focused, and is determined to get her to have some fun. Neither of them expect the attraction that flares between them, but they're willing to indulge in a summer fling.
But when the stick turns blue, both of them have some decisions to make. Lydia is quite prepared to raise the baby on her own. Though Gunner has proposed, she knows he doesn't love her, and marriage without love is not an option for her. Gunner has never pictured himself as a father, but the thought of walking away doesn't sit right either. If he's going to be a part of his baby's life, he's going to have to convince Lydia that he's up to the job. And to do that, he has to show her that she needs more than a 9 to 5 stuffed shirt.
I loved seeing Gunner add some fun to Lydia's life. He has no problem distracting her from her business first mindset, whether it's taking her to a rodeo or luring her back to bed. But when he finds out about the baby, a whole new side of him comes out. I loved all the little things he did for her, from the special water to the scented air. I also loved seeing him get serious about the renovations, put his rodeo trips aside, and discover that he really wants to be part of Lydia's life. There's a lot more to Gunner than the image he portrays. I especially loved seeing him with the various kids he encountered. I enjoyed seeing Lydia start comparing all her potential dates to Gunner and have them not measure up. She was surprised to discover that the man who didn't match any of her requirements was the only one she wanted to be with. She's stunned to realize that she's fallen in love with him, knowing that he doesn't return the feelings.
When she runs from those feelings, back to the safety of Wisconsin, she has to decide if she wants to risk her heart with him. I loved Gunner's big moment, as he finally makes that last step into adulthood and realizes the truth of his feelings for Lydia. I loved watching him put his heart on the line and risk it all.
I also enjoyed the secondary characters. Gunner's grandfather and Lydia's Aunt Amelia are especially fun with their bickering. It quickly becomes obvious that there is more between them than antagonism and I loved seeing them play each other. They also appeared to be conspiring to get Gunner and Lydia together. I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the next book. There was also a little bit of exposure to Gunner's brother Logan. He comes across as pretty judgmental of Gunner at the beginning, but lightens up a bit toward the end. He does have some pretty good advice for Gunner, so there is hope for him. There's another brother that's only mentioned in passing. Lydia has two cousins that she is close to and I liked meeting them. I liked their support of her when she needs it and the memories they shared of their visits to Stampede. I suspect they'll be back in Stampede soon, too.

Loved it! Hot sexy cowboy brought to his knees. What's not to love. This one is well written with great characters and I think everyone will enjoy it.
Gunner Hardell is a bronc riding cowboy who is enjoying his carefree playboy lifestyle. Just a little too much if you ask his grandfather. So when his Grandpa decides to renovate the motel Gunner is in charge of running Gunner knows there is no way to get out of it. Then he meets Lydia Canter, the woman who has been hired to come up with the redesign, and getting out of it is the last thing on his mind.
I highly recommend this one.

The Cowboy's Accidental Baby is a delightfully charming opposites attract romance. This newest release by Marin Thomas is the first installment in the Cowboys of Stampede, Texas series and centers around a trio of brothers.
Gunner Hardell is a fun-loving bronc rider who is quite content with everything about his laidback lifestyle. In between rodeos, he works as the part-time manager of his Grandpa Emmett's neglected Moonlight Motel. Gunner enjoys sampling the charms of the ladies he meets at various events but he is strictly a love 'em and leave 'em kind of man. While he is very loyal to his family, his easygoing lifestyle and lack of direction are a source of contention between him and his older brother, Logan. Gunner is not looking for love or commitment when he meets interior designer Lydia Canter, but will the focused and driven career woman change his mind?
Lydia knows exactly what she wants in life and she is willing to take whatever steps are necessary to accomplish her goals. She is a no-nonsense, goal oriented woman who never loses sight of what she wants in a man nor does she intend to slack off on building up her business. However, when her beloved Aunt Amelia requests her help in giving the Moonlight Motel a much needed makeover, she readily agrees to assist her. The last thing Lydia needs is a smooth-talking cowboy to distract her from the task at hand, but she makes a completely out of character decision that has stunning repercussions. Will Lydia be able to trust Gunner's assertion that she can count on him in spite of his past?
Lydia and Gunner are an absolutely wonderful couple and although they are nothing alike, there is no denying their sizzling attraction. Of course, Gunner sees no reason not to give in to their desire but Lydia is extremely reluctant to deviate from her plans. She is charmed and exasperated by the always cheerful cowboy and she is quite uncertain that he can follow through with giving her the support she needs. Will Lydia finally believe that Gunner is serious about changing his carefree ways?
The Cowboy's Accidental Baby is a light-hearted and incredibly sweet love story. Lydia and Gunner are an incredibly appealing couple who are well suited despite their differences. The supporting cast of characters is quite colorful yet extremely engaging. The storyline has plenty of depth and substance and the issues that must be overcome are realistic and easy to relate to. Marin Thomas's intriguing glimpses of Logan Hardell will leave readers impatiently the next installment in the marvelous Cowboys of Stampede, Texas series.

This is the first book I've read by Marin Thomas, but it will definitely not be my last. I loved this book about Gunner and Lydia. I highly recommend everyone to read this amazing story. It is a beautifully written story about how sometimes what you think you need isn't it at all. The secondary characters are strong also. You never know what's going to be said when Gunner's grandfather, Emmett and Lydia's Aunt Amelia get together. I also loved Lydia's cousins. I can't wait to read Sadie and Logan's story in September. I already have it preordered. Do yourself a favor and one- click this terrific book.

Really enjoyed this cute story! The characters have a fun chemistry and the story line was easy to follow. Not only did we have the main characters to follow as they stumbled their way into a relationship, but there was also the back story of their aunt/grandpa who knew each other and were constantly bickering in the background as well.
Rodeo cowboy Gunner Hardell is all about the good time! He never plans past the next rodeo on his schedule and the only job he even pretends to do is "managing" the run-down Moonlight Motel that his grandpa owns and nagged him into handling. He doesn't plan to settle down or ever stop having fun!
Interior designer Lydia Carter is in Stampede, TX visiting her great aunt, and she gets roped into planning a redesign on the sad excuse for a motel in town. She can't believe how laid back Gunner is about life. He's fun, but he's not what she's looking for in a man. He'll do mighty nicely for a temporary fling though! When that fling all of a sudden has them on their way to being parents, the fun and games are over. Gunner wants to step up and do right by her and the baby, but there's no way Lydia is going to settle for a no-good husband or daddy ... even if she has fallen head over heals for him!

I really enjoyed this first book in the new series by Marin Thomas! I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in this series.
Lydia Canter has a definite idea and plan about the perfect man to fall in love with and start a family with. Gunner Hardell doesn't meet the many requirements so this attraction they have for one another is quite bothersome and gets in the way of her design work and her life plan, but a summer romance sounds like fun and then she can go back home and continue with her plan until real life consequences come along with her summer fun.
Gunner likes what he sees in Lydia and just wants to have some summer fun with her, but their fun soon gets serious and the consequences makes this fun loving cowboy stand up and take responsibility for Lydia and the baby both which he has come to love.

He runs the Moonlight Motel part time for his Grandpa Emmett when he is not bronc riding. The Moonlight Motel is run down and Grandpa Elliot's friend Amelia has decided it needs a overall. Amelia's granddaughter, Lydia is an interior designer. Gunner and Lydia are thrown together and like each other. He has to work to prove to her that he wants to settle down. It is well written and keeps your attention. It is part of a series so you will want to go back and see how they are doing as you met more of the family and see what happens in Stampede, Texas. Gunner Hardell is an easy going cowboy that loves bronc riding in Stampede , Texas. Lydia Canter comes from Wisconsin to visit her Aunt Amelia and help renovate a local run down motel. When Gunner meets Lydia she catches his interest. She isn't the typical buckle bunny from the bronc competitions. She's a hardworking, headstrong woman who knows what she wants. This book keeps your attention throughout with the wonderful characters within the story line. Lydia and Gunner and even the love/hate relationship of Aunt Amelia and Emmett Hardell.

Surprise baby? Count me in! Super cute read about a wanna be bull rider and an interior designer. And who doesn’t like a cowboy who steps up to the plate and who’s enthusiasm is palpable through the pages? Swoon. Highly recommend to my Western Romance fans! This is such a fun start to a series!

I was one of the lucky ones to receive a free e-book from Marin Thomas. The Cowboy's Accidental Baby. A Cowboys Of Stampede, Texas, Series. Gunner Hardell enjoys broncs riding at rodeos. He had never won a belt buckle. He also works at a run down motel in his home town that his grandfather owns. Which no one stays there except a couple ride in on horseback once a month to stay there one night. Lydia Canter's grandmother has Lydia come to town to design the new plans for the motel. Lydia went to school to become an interior designer. Gunner and Lydia have an affair when she is in town and become pregnant and plans to move back to the big city. Gunner has to convince Lydia that he loves her and not just the baby. If you want funny and romance this is the book to read. Very good.

This was a fun contemporary romance featuring Gunner a bronc rider and occasional motel manager, and Lydia an ambitious interior decorator who is only in town long enough to do a favor for her aunt. But what starts out as a casual fling quickly escalates when Lydia gets an unexpected surprise. Gunner never considered do anything with his life other than riding broncs until he hit it big in the rodeo circuit but suddenly he realizes he can't lose Lydia or the baby to another man. Now he wants to be a family man and settle down but only with Lydia. It was fun watching the romance bloom between such polar opposites even as they both refused to admit that they had something more than a fling. Especially as Lydia continued looking for dates through online services. Throw in a couple of matchmaking seniors and you can't go wrong!

I enjoyed the break from reading some of my other books and reading this was a excellent choice!
Lydia has been asked by her great-aunt to come to Stampede to renovate the Moonlight Motel however the "owner" and the "manager" both are digging in their heels but aunt Amelia just wants to return Stampede to its glory days and this is the best place to start.
Gunner Hardell mostly does rodeos but on the side he's supposed to be managing the Moonlight Motel for his gramps. Gunner sees nothing wrong with the motel but if it means he can see more of Lydia it might not be so bad!
When Lydia sees the motel it's in major need of work..but maybe getting help from Gunner won't be so bad...or will it??

*Swoon* Loved it!!!! Hot and Sex Cowboy Gunner is in for the ride of his life when he meets Lydia. Lydia doesn't put up with Gunner's stunts. I love they way this story unfolds and Lydia's aunt. I highly recommend reading this book.

Gunner loves his life. Free and easy. No responsibility. Just him, rodeo and managing the Moonlight Motel, such as it was. Run down and with not many prospects the town was slowly dying. Then walks in Lydia Canter. Back in town and changing everything.
Lydia has come back as a favor to her aunt Amelia. Remodel the motel. Just one catch. Gunner is the help. Sexy as can be, he waltzes around and helps when he's not rodeoing. But she can't fight the attraction she has to him. What's a little fun while she's in town. She's ready to settle down, have a family so she's joined a dating sight. Only thing is none of the matches set her on fire like Gunner does. But she needs reliable wants a family, and he is neither reliable or a family man.
When an unexpected surprise brings things front and center for them they must choose to stay together for responsibility sake or let her return to her home in Wisconsin. Lydia has come back as a favor to her aunt Amelia. Remodel the motel. Just one catch. Gunner is the help. Sexy as can be, he waltzes around and helps when he's not rodeoing. But she can't fight the attraction she has to him. What's a little fun while she's in town. She's ready to settle down, have a family so she's joined a dating sight. Only thing is none of the matches set her on fire like Gunner does. But she needs reliable wants a family, and he is neither reliable or a family man.

I really enjoyed this story with Gunner & Lydia. Gunner is a laid-back bronc rider. He lives in the moment and runs the Motel when he feels like it. Lydia is asked to come to Stampede, Tx. to remodel the motel by her aunt. She's organized and makes to-do lists. These 2 are complete opposites, but opposites attract right? She wants to be married and have a family and in that order. Gunner doesn't plan on either. When Lydia finds out she's pregnant, it's up to Gunner to convince her he's changed but then maybe Lydia is the one who's changed. Great story! Really loved the way Gunner's Grampa and Lydia's aunt get involved. This is my honest review for a book given to me by the author.

The Cowboy’s Accidental Baby by Marin Thomas perfectly describes this book. Gunner Hardell is seriously a player, bronc rider and part-time manager of the Moonlight Motel in Stampede, Texas, who has no plans to settle down. To keep his grandpa off his back, he agrees to help renovating the motel. Enter Lydia Canter an interior designer and niece of the town’s grand matriarch. Once Gunner sets his eyes on Lydia, the gig becomes a whole lot more appealing and interesting. Lydia is looking for love and wanting to find her Mr. Right but decided to spend some time with Mr. Right Now, Gunner. As the title decrees, a steamy night or two has some unexpected consequences. I loved how Gunner’s grandpa and Lydia’s aunt got involved in trying to keep these two together.
I enjoyed reading this book but struggled with a couple of things that really didn’t affect the story at all. First off, the model on the cover looks more like seventeen rather than twenty-seven and I found it distracting. Secondly, I wanted an epilogue. I wanted to see that these two as loving parents and partners. I also wanted to make sure that the baby was born and not miscarried. Other than that, I highly recommend this outstanding book to other readers.

This is a wonderful story of Gunner Hardell, a rodeo rider/motel manager who never wants to settle down, and Lydia Canter, an interior decorator who wants nothing more than to get married and have kids. They meet up again in Stampede, Texas, when Lydia's great-aunt, Amelia Rinehart, asks her to come to Stampede to redecorate an old motel in town. It was nice watching Gunner and Lydia work together to remodel the motel and grow to love one another. I can't wait to read the next Stampede book!

I really enjoyed Gunner and Lydia's story. What a great start to a new series. The characters are well written and developed. The plot was fast paced and entertaining. A great and fun cowboy romance.
