Kandy Shepherd is one of my favorite romance authors—obviously because her stories reach into your heart and tug at your emotions. Her May 2017 release: Conveniently Wed to the Greek is chock-full of entertainment scenes that will give you a few sighs and surprises. I found the characters as genuine, smart and commanding in their own unique way and I had no issues connecting with them. I was drawn into this fast-paced story by engaging dialogue, lively banter, and the drama. Of course, the overall level of compatibility between Alex and Adele had me hooked. I was addicted to everything unfolding between these two characters who should have been outright enemies due to their past. Yet I found Alex to be charming and attentive. Adele is genuinely tough though she could use the support Alex has to offer.

As it goes, Adele used her blog as a weapon against Alex three years ago which nearly caused doom for his restaurant. Now she and Alex’s path crosses and there is nothing more that Alex wants than to exact revenge on Adele. But as much as he wants to he resists—because Adele has changed and so has he. He offers her a job and the mutual understanding between them soon becomes something more…

Overall, I found this story to be passionate, touching and immensely satisfying and I definitely would recommend it to romance lovers!

Kandy Shepherd( Conveniently married to the Greek ).
Alex and Adele
Alex was a self made luxury hotelier , who had it all , UNTIL tragedy struck. It humbled him down, tho he remembers meeting her, years prior, Adele , food critic, blogger , almost destroyed him.
When he sees her, he is shocked. Not expecting what he sees a different person. Adele needs his help.
Alex being who he is now, makes her an offer she doesn't refuse. Little does he know Adele is still wary of what happened in the past .
Will Alex let it all go or will he and Adele make a fortune together not just in wealth but LOVE.

KANDY SHEPHERD

Okay, I take it, that everyone who buys a book with a pink cover and a blurb like this one, expects something sweet, romantic - and sappy. You know the kind of book where you sigh and that are easy to read and you know exactly what is supposed to happen?
Right, that's exactly what you get here. And it is well written and convincing, you just know that Alex and Adele are meant for each other and that everything will turn out alright.
There were some twists that I hadn't expected and it made for an entertaining read with a swoon-worthy tycoon, who rather down-to-earth due to his horrible experiences and sweet, charming Dell who has lost everything and still smiles and makes Alex fall for her.
I enjoyed reading how they slowly realized how they felt about each other and, yep, there was a very big greek family involved as well. Nice, loving, a bit pushy and all in all a family that you might dream of. Alright, sometimes, when you don't want people to interfere in your lives, it might be rather nightmares but, well, sometimes they are really just nice and sweet. Even if they give you those aforementioned nightmares and try to play matchmaker.
If you expect an easy read that makes you swoon and smile - this is your book!

Now I love a marriage of convenience story, but I will warn you, you have to be patient.

Alex and Dell had a run in three years ago when Dell gave his flagship restaurant a poor review on her blog. He took her to court and when he lost, it didn't make him feel any less vindictive. His last words to her were a threat.

Three years on and both of them have had life changing events shape their view on the world. Dell's marriage to her high school sweet heart broke down in the midst of expensive IVF treatments. Alex lost his chef fiancee to a lunatic who held her hostage in one of his restaurants. Both are rebuilding their lives. Alex in particular is trying to be a better man.

They meet at a resort in Dolphin Bay, a setting for several of the authors previous stories. Alex has a connection with one of those heroes and Dell knows his wife. It's a new start for their relationship as Alex admits Dell was perfectly right to critique his restaurant as he found out later.

When he realises she is out of a job, and has the skills he needs for his new project, he impulsively offers her a place in his organisation, helping him with a new resort in Greece. At first reluctant, because she has hopes of becoming a single mother, when that apparently falls through, she agrees.

It's really sweet watching these two former enemies discover that they have a lot more in common than they realise. Until Dell discovers she is pregnant with the last of her IVF embryos after all.

We know right from the start that fathering someone else's child is something Alex doesn't think he can do. *evil laugh*.

I really enjoyed this story of two wounded people finding a new start together. The only thing that spoiled a little of my enjoyment is the pregnancy. Normally I don't really feel comfortable reading stories with the heroine pregnant to a loser ex and in this case there were aspects of the why and wherefore I felt really uncomfortable with and effected my sympathy for the heroine.

On the other hand, I really loved Alex and how his point of view about fathering changed over the course of the story. Overall, a lovely little story.

4 1/2 STARS!

A sweet enemies to friends ... and more story! There is an explosive past between these characters, and when it first starts out, you see the fireworks from both of their points of view, but it doesn't take long to realize there's a change in the volatility. We get to go along for the ride as they both heal from their past relationship and life circumstances and start to fall for each other. I really enjoyed their chemistry!

Alexios Mikhalis never expected to stumble across the woman that nearly ruined his flagship restaurant's reputation after all this time! There was a bitter feud between them once ... but too much has happened since then that has made him realize his ire was overblown. He can't hold a grudge anymore, and he only hopes she can forgive his arrogance.

Adele Hudson enjoys blogging about food and loved her former job as a restaurant reviewer. Right now she's recently divorced and at a lull of what to do with her life and this relaxation spa is just what she needed! She's blown away when she realizes Alex is there too. It's been years since their blow-up!

Alex is notably a changed man, and he actually takes the time to appreciate Dell's knowledge on hospitality and food and offers her a job in a new project he has going on. She is hesitant to take it, but realizes it will be a great stepping stone into her future ... especially once she realizes she's pregnant and needs all the help she can get!

Conveniently Wed to the Greek by Kandy Shepherd is a superb story! Alex Mikhalis was a luxury hotelier that was on top of the world…until tragedy struck. Now he is a changed man, still very wealthy and ambitious but without the chip on his shoulder. Adele Hudson, a food critic and blogger, had a run in with Alex three years ago and she still remembers him as the man who almost destroyed her reputation because she dared criticise his beloved restaurant.

I love the characters, how they develop and gain depth throughout the story. The plot is familiar but it is somehow new and inspirational at the same time. Fabulous work by Kandy Shepherd!

I recommend this book to all romance lovers.

MS Shepherd has taken me on a trip to Greece one place that is on my bucket list and even more so now, she has described the islands and landmarks so well and bought them to life for me as well as a vulnerable and caring Greek hero Alex Mikhalis who is just gorgeous in so many ways as he finally realizes his love for an old adversary Adele (Dell) Hudson. Sit back and make yourself comfortable because you are not going to want to put this one down.

Alex has been to hell and back firstly working so hard to build his business a business that was started by his grandfather in Australia being a playboy and multi- millionaire at a young age makes him a magnet with the paparazzi but all of that changes when he gets a bad review of his restaurant and takes the blogger to court, and then he loses someone very close to him in a very tragic way, Alex goes to Greece and starts over again, so when he runs into the blogger at a friend’s spa things are a bit tense, but Alex is determined to hire Dell to work with him on his new project.

Dell has been through a divorce since the court case Alex had bought against her and is now out of a job and is trying to get back on track, visiting friends at Dolphin Bay she is stunned when she runs into Alex but he has changed a lot and yes she feels for him and what he has been through. So when offered the job of a lifetime Dell takes it goes to Greece and they are working well together, her feelings for Alex are growing everyday but when Dell finds out she is pregnant this could change everything, but she is over the moon about the baby.

This is such a beautiful, moving and emotional journey with an awesome setting to a gorgeous HEA to see both Alex and Dell open up as they work together is a real page turner these two deserve so much in like and are perfect together there are so many beautiful emotions, tears, sighs and so much joy. Thank you MS Shepherd for another beauty I loved it, I really need to visit Greece.

CONVENIENTLY WED TO THE GREEK by Kandy Shepherd is a modern, entertaining tale of two adversaries discovering just how much they need each other in ways they could never imagine.

Adele Hudson is a top food blogger in Sydney, but now she finds herself out of a job, divorced from her childhood sweetheart, and giving IVF one last ditch attempt in the hope of achieving her dream of being a mother. But when she bumps into Alex Mikhalis, millionaire extraordinaire, who had threatened her in court a few years ago, Adele wants to avoid him at every turn. But Alex is not the same ruthless businessman that she met before. After a tragedy in his own life blew his world apart, Alex had removed himself from the spotlight, and now with a new venture on the horizon, he could do with a sassy, opinionated, clever right-hand like Adele Hudson. But as they work together, they begin to build a deeper friendship alongside their business, and never mind the sexual attraction that flares between them at every turn. But Alex has shut his heart down to the prospect of love, and Adele is struggling with her own situation. And when another tragedy threatens Alex, is it possible for them to enter a marriage of convenience and then walk away from each other at the end?

CONVENIENTLY WED TO THE GREEK by Kandy Shepherd is a sharp, enjoyable romance that is the perfect read for a sunny afternoon. Adele is a strong character who knows what she wants, and Alex is a reformed character who is desperate to right the wrongs of his past, as together they struggle with their feelings. Overall an easy, charming read.

I’m a huge fan of Kandy Shepherd’s books, not just because she brings her settings alive but also because her characters all have some unique trait, a special something that makes their stories stand apart.

It’s in this book too, between the lines and tangled up in the romance. There’s Adele with her wish to become a mother—a wish that is fulfilled at the worst time possible—who tugged at my heart strings. I admired her strength, her dedication to whatever she is doing. And then there’s Alex with his broken heart that he has closed off due to guilt. At first he seems to hurt and too disillusioned to open up, but Adele gets under his skin. And before he even realizes that he’s head over heels in love with her, he starts caring for her and allowing himself to feel again.

If you love sweet romances with a sensual undertone, exotic locations, and protagonists that wiggle their way into your heart, then you’re in for a treat.

How do you make two enemies, Alex and Adele who in past had a court battle over her review of his restaurant become more.  Easy because Ms. Shepherd is a genius in writing wonderful romances.  When Alex and Adele meet again in yoga class, first anger takes over than she finds herself hired to help him build a resort on his island.  He is hurting from when his fiance was killed while working in his restaurant and Adele is hurting from a divorce that her ex claims is her fault because all she wanted was a baby and all IVF chances failed.  She is left with hurt and debt, Alex wants to go back to the land of the living.  Both find what they are looking for on the island and then some,  a wonderful HEA.  When you read this truly lovely story you will see why I say Ms. Shepherd pens such wonderful books.

I've read alot of cheese romance but in all honesty this book wasn't the good kind. If they liked eachother then date. She didn't have to marry him because she was pregnant. Alex didn't have to ask Adele the way he did. Yea convenient is in the title of the book so naturally I assumed they were going to get married but the way it was handled every single thing in the book was way too convenient and predictable. I was hoping for a bit of a surprise and I don't know I just wasn't a fan. The book was okay and I loved getting the dual point of view but when it came to the overall story I was hoping for more. Something to make it stand out and it just didn't do that for me.

I am falling in love with Kandy's story telling.

Alex and Adele share a plot that is unique and the author makes it work wonderfully, with each page that passes, more detail is added and the result is a warmly enriching story which I was sad to close the book on.

The reasons I give 5 stars is becasue Alex and Adele as characters are likeable, the plot is unique (not sure I've read about blogger before) and the IVF subject is usually approached when the couple are already in love. I love the style of writing Kandy has and I am always left feeling a better person for having read one of her stories.

Highly recommended.

Conveniently Wed to the Greek is the story of Alex and Adele. Adele once wrote a damaging review of Alex's restaurant and he swore revenge, however when they meet again Alex ends up giving the pregnant Adele a job promoting his new resort.
I really liked this story. Both Adele and Alex were great characters with lots of chemistry, although the romance part takes a little while to get going. I especially liked that both characters, despite being part of your fairly typical Mills and Boon plotline, were well rounded and it felt like you could really root for them and their romance. 4 stars.

Conveniently Wed to the Greek

A sweet story of moving on. She is working in Greece after her divorce was finalized. But she is also pregnant with his child. Going to Greece was the best thing ever. Her new boss is just what she needs in her life. Over coming that she is pregnant with another man's child and how to make a working relationship into a more personal one is what this story is about.

"Conveniently Wed to the Greek" by Kandy Shepherd was an enjoyable, quick read. I love her stories because she has a way of making us visualize the settings, and the characters are believable. Alex and Adele's story doesn't disappoint. These characters have a troubled past that ended up in court. Their attraction to each other a few years later is volatile and passionate. Love it.

Author Kandy Shepherd has unique strengths as a storyteller: Her perfectly contemporary romances fascinate the reader with an up-to-minute look at modern society, but then they also engage the heart of the reader with sweetly-sensual, timeless love stories. All this makes for an irresistible reader's treat! With "Conveniently Wed to the Greek", secondary characters from a previous storyline are now featured for a chance at finding their own "Happily-Ever-After". Food writer Adele Hudson and hotel and restaurant tycoon Alex Mikhalis were once at extreme cross-purposes. Her painfully truthful review of his restaurant exposed secrets and changed both their lives. After three years, a chance meeting brings them together again, and now sparks of anger are turning to a different kind of heat. Adele, on her own and pregnant after the end of a difficult relationship, needs a job. Alex needs someone like Adele to help him make a success of his new luxury resort venture. It's a project near and dear to his heart--it's located in the beautiful Greek Islands of his home place. With the kindness and generosity of Alex's family making her feel welcome, and the undeniable charm and appeal of Alex himself keeping her enthralled, Adele is caught between two worlds. Alex tries hard to resist the lovely, warm woman whom he once despised, but she is bringing light to the darkness of his own tragic past. As the bitterness from prior days melts away, is there hope of new happiness and the gift of an unexpected love? Those who are captivated by poignant, heart-stirring romance will greatly enjoy "Conveniently Wed to the Greek".

Kandy Shepherd delivers again - another superbly written contemporary romance with a conflict between the hero and heroine so powerful that I wasn't sure she could resolve it; but resolve it, she did, in very convincing fashion. Shepherd is one of my "must-read" Australian romance authors. Her books have so much: strong, realistically-drawn settings - this one on a Greek Island; interesting social worlds; and believable characters. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a heart-warming romance.

Conveniently Wed to the Greek (Harlequin Romance) by Kandy Shepherd
Alex Mikhalis will never forget the blogger who ruined his reputation. But as he thinks back it was a correct statement. He lost the love of his life after having his fiancée go in and work a shift where a mad man came in took her hostage and killed her.
Adele Hudson is that blogger and she is off at a spa retreat on the south coast of New South Wales. She is taking part in a yoga class and she finds a late comer that she tries to see – turns out to be Alex Mikhalis.
Adele’s marriage fell apart as some do, she wanted a baby and she had tried IVF but none worked. The fertility clinic called and they wanted to know if she wanted to use the remaining embryo and against the right thing to do she went ahead and did the final IVF.
Adele’s job is no more and she is not real sure what she will do. Alex does make her a job offer which she said no to first and then when she felt the IVF did not work she called Alex back and took on the position.
Kandy Shepherd for sure deserves more than the 5 stars as this was an exceptional read. I felt like I was in Greece and there with all of Alex’s family.
