Every time I read one of this authors books it confirms to me that I really need to set more time aside to read more of her books. Surrender to Me is book two in the BDSM Connections series. Each book can be read as a standalone.
Taggart, aka Leather Master, is a highly skilled whip and leather gear craftsman. He is very good at his job. Due to his past he's weary about commitment. He's a Dom and when fate steps in he finds himself falling for Rylee Miller. I loved these two together. The scenes were oh so hot.
I found this to be an extremely well written story with some very tasteful BDSM scenes. Before I pick up another book I'm jumping right into book three.

Rylee and Taggart were pretty awesome together. While both think they are pretty self-aware, Rylee quickly learns Taggart sees more of her than she sees of herself. It takes a bit longer for Rylee to draw the hidden recesses of Taggart out, but luckily, she is one stubborn woman!

Not all Doms are good Doms. Within the first chapter I was astounded and outraged, then highly amused. Doesn't get much better. I very much enjoyed a privileged front row seat to Rylee 's personal journey to true submission, what it means, and understanding what it means to her. Another great read
Very well written and great characters. The story line flows nicely with each chapter and was nice to see Taggert having the harder childhood when it's usually in my opinion the female character.Would recommended this book.

I've read Claire Thompson's stories in the past and enjoyed them, but it has been a while. I picked up this one and loved it! I definitely need to read more of what she is writing, now. I gave this one a well-deserved 5 rating. I thoroughly enjoyed this BDSM story. I usually shy away from sadomaschistic stories, but this one was so well done, that the sadomasochistic aspects were not the main theme, but rather an integral part of the whole love story between Taggart Fitzgerald and Rylee Miller. I've read Claire Thompson's stories in the past and enjoyed them, but it has been a while. I picked up this one and loved it! I definitely need to read more of what she is writing, now. I gave this one a well-deserved 5 rating.

Rylee has just had a horrifying experience with a 'DOM', and although she knows that she still needs the masochism erotic pain, she is a bit wary. Friends take her along with them when they film the Leather Master at work and his many beautiful and functional leather goods. At shows, he always sells out. He is a well-known and respected Dom in the BDSM community. Rylee decides to trust him to fulfill her masochistic needs. She thinks of BDSM as a game and 'knows' that she is not submissive. When she agrees to 'scene' with the Leather Master, Taggart Fitzgerald, at the club, he is almost able to get her to go into subspace. A revelation to him. This is common among submissives. He is quite sure that she is a submissive and convinces her to give him a week to try to show her that she is truly a submissive.
She craves the hard masochistic erotic pain and he delivers that to her, but also sends her into subpace for the first time. An eye-opener for Rylee. She gets increasingly comfortable with the power exchange and his directions to her.
Their relationship develops along with their D/s relationship. Taggart too has issues that stem from his childhood and causes him to withdraw from her whenever he feels they are getting too close emotionally. Rylee is able to help him overcome his past. The long epilogue is a beautiful loving ending to this story. A well earned 5 stars!

Intense, Steamy, and Naughty Romance!
Wow! What an intense and steamy naughty story. This story is tense and raw and takes you into a whole other world that you will want to know more about. This is a story that is extreme and heavy on the sadist and masochist side of BDSM. This book is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it for someone that likes the light end of the BDSM spectrum.
The characters are written to be real and with their good qualities and having flaws – just like a normal person would. This makes the characters relatable and easy to feel that you are a part of their world. The book is written heavy with the sex scenes in which you experience the BDSM world and the different environment that surrounds it. Although it is heavy with BDSM, there is still a story with romance and a couple that is looking for their happy ending.
The scenes are intense, hot and sexy just enough to get your heart racing and wanting more. You will be on your toes wondering what they are going to do next. There were scenes and lessons learned throughout that I have not read in any other book. This made the book enjoyable as I didn’t feel that I was reading a scene that I have read a million times in other books.
This was my second book to read from this author and I was not disappointed at all. I look forward to reading more by this author. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good romance with a whole lot of kinky naughty play mixed in.

Wow! I am totally in love with this book - it is so freakin' hot! The BDSM scenes are intense, believable, well written - and very steamy. There is a lot more to this book than just sex though - it has a sweet romantic storyline, lots of humour, plenty of emotion and fabulous characters. I think this is the third book that I've read by this author now, and although I really enjoyed the other two books, this one is by far my favourite - it's fabulous!
Rylee is a strong, independent woman with a heavy masochistic streak. She craves the pain a Dom can give her - but she is definitely not submissive. But when she meets Taggart (aka The Leather Master) she begins to crave his control and he sets out to show her that there is a submissive hiding behind the walls she's put up to protect himself. Rylee starts to fall for Taggart, but he has a painful past and doesn't believe in love. Is Rylee's heart going to get broken?
Both Rylee and Taggart were great characters, I instantly liked both of them and felt connected to them. Both of them were very well drawn with lots of layers to their characters. I loved this book. Surrender to Me is the second book in Claire Thompson's BDSM Connections series). This series isn't as edgy as some of her other books so if you're looking to read some great BDSM books and aren't sure if you want to read really intense scenes this is a great place to start. Surrender to Me can be read as a standalone, but once you read it I guarantee you'll go back to read the first book, Secrets.
Surrender to Me is the story of "The Leather Master" Taggert,or Tag to his friends, and masochistic Rylee. The two meet and the chemistry is instant. Even after Rylee had just been hurt by another Dom she trusts Tag instantly. But he is all Dom and she insists she's not a sub. She's a masochist but not a sub. She agrees to try submission and surrenders to Tag.
As I said Tag is all Dom. He's gentle and can see what his sub needs, but he is a Dom through and through. I loved everything about Tag. I especially loved him at the end, although I can't say why without giving away spoilers. Rylee says she's not a sub, but after exploring submission we can see that she is all sub. She is perfect for Tag and he is perfect for her. They are meant to be together.

Let me start by saying that first chapter…wow. Talk about investing me in a character and forcing me to want to read more.
It was my pleasure to meet Rylee and Tag in Surrender to Me.
Tag is an adorable (hope he forgives me for saying that lol) character who professionally walks the line of a self-confident Dom who ironically lacks the confidence to see himself as anybody’s ‘special someone’. It’s sad, truly, because he is oozing with sex appeal and personality, but has accepted the fact that fast hook-ups in a sex club are the best he deserves.
Now Rylee…damn do I love a good female lead with backbone and brains. But she has her own line she is walking and not aware of. The way she laughed off the D/s relationship even while ultimately needing just that.
Like all of Claire Thompson’s books, the scenes are well written with a plot that encourages you to read just one more chapter tonight and the sex is much like an afternoon in Florida—hot and sweaty as f*ck. I love how she grabs me and puts me in the action.
I’ve suddenly got a hankering for some apple cider and apple cake. Read the book and you’ll wanna join me.

Surrender to Me is the kind of book that I will return to again and again. I love the relationship between Taggart and Rylee, not just the kink, but also the romance. In some ways one could call this a typical romance -- boy meets girl, boy and girl get to know each other, some problem crops up to drive them apart, the solve it and live happily ever after. All that happens here, only within the context of a serious BDSM power exchange between a sadist and a masochist who's not quite sure she's submissive. Taggart thinks he isn't capable of love due to his childhood and Rylee isn't at all sure about this whole "submissive" business. She's always viewed BDSM as a game and hasn't had the opportunity or interest to take it out of the scenes at a club and into real life, but Taggart offers her the chance. And what a chance it turns out to be! Their interactions as he trains her and they become closer are so realistic. Definitely a keeper here. Although this is book 2 of her BDSM Connections series, it stands well on its own. Some of the characters from book 1, Secrets, appear here, but not in any way that requires you to know their past history.

When Taggart and Rylee first meet, they have an instant attraction to one another. While they share the common enjoyment of BDSM principles, to Taggart it’s a way of life to Rylee it’s more like a game. But Taggart senses more in Rylee and sets out to convince her she’s a true submissive; one he wants to be his.
Taggart wants Rylee to let him train her for 5 days. To submit to him in body, mind and spirit and give him a chance to prove she is a true submissive. But can she? Can she truly be the submissive he believes her to be when in her mind she will never belong to anyone, she is her own person and is used to doing things her way. This is a wonderfully written erotic story with both good and bad times for our couple. A story that will pull you in and have you rooting for a happy ending or at the very least a happy middle ground. 2 Thumbs Up for a great book 2 in the series and this reader is anxiously awaiting book 3.

I received a copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed this book.
But I enjoyed this book so much that I purchased it. The story is good and the characters are well written. Rylee and Tag are perfectly matched and the author did a fantastic job of making me really care what happened to these characters. I have not read any other book connected to this one, so I can attest to it being a stand-alone and didn't feel like I was missing anything. As I enjoyed this book, I will be reading the other books in this series and more of Claire Thompson's work. Yes, there are plenty of BDSM scenes and sex, but the story itself is really good and kept my interest through the entire book. The author also gave us an EPILOGUE! It does not wrap everything up with a nice bow but it does give us a glimpse into their future.

I still think Simon needs a needle shoved someplace uncomfortable.

Ah, Leather Master. I have waited for your story. While this book follows Secrets (BDSM Connections book 1), it is a standalone and you will see a few old friends. Experienced kinkster Rylee struggles to understand what it means to submit. She wants more from her experiences, thinks she knows what she needs until she meets Tag. Tag, the Leather Master, is a pretty humble guy that comes with baggage. I loved the way the author created the connection between Rylee and Tag, and surrounded then with such a great group of friends-the characters in this book were great. This BDSM love story itself left me with feeling warm & fuzzy inside.

the second book in the series, and we get the story of the leather master. Taggart makes exquisite works of art in the form of BDSM leather whips, cains, and other play items. Not believing he's capable of love he scenes with other women but never finding the one that was different. Rylee is no stranger to the scene and but she believes she isn't a true submissive but that the game of domination and pleasure, and pain. when scene goes wrong her friend brings her to the leather master to help film a ad for his website. they met and a connection is formed. Rylee takes Tag up on his offer to train her for 5 days.

I really enjoyed this well written, beautiful story that was both romantic and often emotional.
I loved the character's of Rylee and Taggart, both with issues to work through. It was great to see Bonnie and Matt, Allie and Liam from the previous book. Although this can easily be read as a standalone. This was my favourite so far in this BDSM connections series. As to be expected, there was some incredibly intense erotic scenes, however they were nicely interspersed within a fantastic storyline.
This author does do a great job of explaining and describing the complexity of relationships, both platonic and romantic within the BDSM setting, which often intrigues me.

Rylee doesnt think she's a submissive but knows she's a masochist. However a bad scene with a bad Dom shakes her to her core. When she is introduced to the Leather Master, Taggart and does a demo scene with him he almost sends her flying. As a result he proposes that she spend a week with him in subissive training, total immersion. Although she's hesitant she agrees. He's a tough master but gives her what she needs. She ends up giving him what he needs to break the bonds of an abusive childhood and being abandoned by his mother.

I will never be a masochist but I would swap places with Rylee in a heartbeat. Taggart for all his baggage, and given he is also a sadist, makes the reader feel warm and wanting to just curl up with him. This was a really heartwarming book and is Claire Thompson at her finest. While I cringe at some of the scenes, it does not detract from the deep connection between dom and sub. It was nice to see characters from other books and how their relationships have evolved. Harlan was a sweetly, and I hope we see more of him too. A real feel good book.

The second book in the BDSM Connection series, but it can be read as a standalone. Characters from the first book make an appearance in this book, but you won’t miss anything if you read them out of order.
What I enjoyed about this book it that the focus is not so much about the ‘play’ side, but more about the service side of submission. And the development that Reylee makes in her journey and learns a lot about herself..
I loved how both of them helped each other embrace their pasts and move forward. There was a wonderful connection between.

Brilliant, sexy, erotic, interesting, compelling and wonderfully loving!!! I love this authors writing! she writes with such clarity that it takes nothing to picture exactly what is going on and how the characters are feeling and reacting. I loved Rylee and Tag - they are such well rounded characters with such depth that you cant help falling in love with them!!
This is at the top of my list of favourite books by this amazing author!!

This is the second book in the BDSM Connections series and I have fallen in love. The men are flawed and have thier own issues but through there Dominant of thier submissive and the strong women they are drawn to, they find thier way to love. The women are not perfect but thier love light the way for ther doms. Love the connections that are created in these books. Sexy BDSM scenes and fun, heartfelt moments are plenty in this book.

I would love to delve into the mind of Ms. Thompson and her amazing ability to write from the perspective of both male and female. This story is way more than just giving in but to learning to surrender your being into the care of another with grace and dignity and know that they have only your best interest at heart. Strong women who can make it on their own but are so much more with the right person. Such an amazing gift.

I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. Have I said this before? I am in love with Claire Thompson's books. Rylee and Taggart's story was as interesting as the others. I love that these very strong, alpha males, can be broken, and that their love interests can help them heal. This is a love story that I hope finds a greater HEA later in the series. Claire, I for one cannot wait to read the next!!!

Another hot BDSM read. I loved all the detailed BDSM scenes with the characters. I enjoy hearing and seeing how the others characters from the first book get interconnected with these new characters. I also enjoy the storyline and how the alpha character overcame his personnel struggle and found a deep love. Loved it!!
