When a shell-shocked Dean Kingston discovers his wife is having an affair, he believes his married life is over. However, when an unexpected meeting with a mysterious stranger reveals a plan that might just save the day, Dean cautiously decides to play along. Suzanne Kingston will spend the next month in the clandestine establishment known as ‘Penitent Place’, an institution where cheating wives are trained to become the perfect submissive partners. Can Suzanne survive within a regime that prides itself on the motto, ‘Spare the rod and spoil the inmate’? ----- Author's Note: Penitent Place - A Reformatory for Deceitful Wives is a full, stand-alone novel by Marian Wilder. The story contains scenes of a sexual nature, including bondage and erotic discipline. If you are offended by any of these topics, then please pass this title by.
Triggers: BDSM, Spanking, Women in Prison, Dark Romance.
Marian Wilder welcomes you to her world of erotic 'Damsel In Distress' novels and stories.
Marian wrote for her own amusement for a number of years before discovering the fascinating world of self-publishing. She now takes great delight in being able to share her novels and stories in public, and hopes that they bring pleasure and enjoyment to those who read them.
Her subject material might not appeal to everyone's tastes, as it wanders towards the darker side of erotica, but if you enjoy a generous helping of bondage and erotic domination with your fiction, then this is the place to be.

I loved the writing style of Marian Wilder, it was funny in some areas, and entertaining. When she finally understood her submissive side was so enlightening. Enjoyed the interaction between characters and their personalities. Ann Marie will really stick with me, I imagine her as a blonde. Will be checking out more of her books.
A brilliant story, with well rounded characters. Not a bash and thrash novel, but nicely explores the conflicts that can arise from a D/s relationship and the subtlety of such a relationship. Cleverly explores the awakening of the desires of both the sub and the Dom.
Penitent Place is a place for poorly behaved slaves and submissives to be punished and pulled back into line accordingly. Suzanne found herself in such a place after she cheated/didn't cheat on her husband, when curiosity got the better of her. The moral of the story is to be open and honest in your relationships about what each other wants and by overcoming the fear of the rejection in admitting your needs you may just be pleasantly surprised. Brilliantly put together novel by Marian Wilder, well worth the 5 stars!
I had a hard time putting down this book and when I did, I could not stop thinking "what will they do to her next. Sensual, titillating, beautiful love story.
Erotic, fanciful and includes a club that I would love to work at... Penitent Place reminds me of BDSM stories of older times. Specifically back when BDSM reads were more fantasy with a nod to a "school" like the one from the Story of O. I enjoyed those kinky style stories because they are a great spank bank fantasy. This first book from new to me author Ms. Wilder entices me to read the rest in this series.

This was very informational rather than actual sex. Great read for anyone curious about BDSM. This is mainly what the main character was doing. The book was interesting and only a few grammatical errors that you may not even notice.
A hidden gem. This story has a little for everyone; bdsm, romance, adventure, and a very decent story. Will definitely investigate this writer's other works.
