WOW! This story should awake a lot of kids and adults as well!

I enjoyed this ebook that shares what our earth does and what it could not do if it became sick and that this would indeed affect us as well. This also has some beautiful illustrations in it as well, thus I would like to recommend this for five stars and for kids ages 3-5. I received this ebook for free and in return here is my honest review. Super work James! By Angela

"I Am Earth" by Rebecca and James McDonald has everything that I look for in a young children's book. The pages are large filled with bright full page illustrations. The 41 pages are a perfect length. Since the text is only on every other page the book is short enough to hold the attention of younger children. It is a perfect book for Earth day and teaching a conservation mindset without boring a child. It teaches about the Earth's rotation and gravity and the seasons. I've already read the book to our children and they enjoyed the book. It is a book I will recommend to fellow parents.

Title: I Am Earth: An Earth Day Book for Kids
Author: James McDonald and Rebecca McDonald
Genre: Nonfiction
Theme(s): Saving the earth
Opening line/sentence: “I am earth. You live on me.”
Brief Book Summary: This book summarizes Earth’s functions, gravity, and the importance of keeping the earth healthy. The story says that we need to keep the earth healthy so that we can stay healthy, and lists ways we can do that.
Response to Two Professional Reviews: I could not find professional reviews. I found a teacher review on Goodreads that said that they would not be including this book in their classroom library because the suggestions to help the earth were “dumbed down.” I personally disagree with this; I think that this book is an introduction, and the suggestions should be simple. Another says that the message is important and much needed in the classroom library. I agree with that because the message of saving the earth is something I never read about when I was younger, and it is a great introduction to earth science.
Tell Me Framework:
Like(s): I liked that there were a lot of facts embedded in this story.
Dislike: I dislike that the book didn’t include that the earth is becoming unhealthy because of the way we treat it.
Patterns(s): Throughout the book, the words “I am earth,” are repeated followed by a way we use it.
Puzzle(s): I have no puzzles about this book.
Consideration of Instructional Application: As used in our integrated curriculum unit, I would use this book as an introduction to learning about earth science and recycling. In our project, we paired this book with text-based questions. We used this book with the answering questions standard because the book had important facts I thought were important for students to comprehend.

"I am Earth" is a delightful and informative children's book that takes readers on a journey through the life of our planet. Written by Rebecca McDonald and the book is a perfect read for children who want to learn more about Earth and its importance.

The setting of the book is our planet, with the plot revolving around the different aspects of Earth, such as its atmosphere, oceans, and forests. The story is told through the perspective of Earth itself, personified as a character that guides readers through the book's various chapters.

The illustrations in the book are beautifully crafted, featuring vibrant colors and intricate details that capture the essence of the Earth's natural beauty. From the lush green forests to the deep blue oceans, each page of the book is a visual treat that will capture the imagination of young readers.

Overall, "I am Earth" is a wonderful children's book that educates and entertains at the same time. The characters, setting, plot, and illustrations all come together to create a memorable reading experience that will leave a lasting impression on young minds. This book is all about the earth and everything it provides for us. There are many facts throughout the book, including how the sun effects the earth, what makes different seasons happen, what the solar system consists of, what gravity is, and many more things. The end talks about ways that we can help keep the earth clean and healthy.
I really loved this book. I thought it was fun of very helpful information, but all the illistration made it fun. I loved how in the end there was a list of things that everyone can do to do their part in keeping the earth healthy. The book ends asking kids what else they think they can do to help kept the earth clean and healthy. I thought this was a great way to teach kids about the world we live on and all that it does for us. I would definitely recommend this book.
After reading this book I think it would be fun to have the students write down some ideas that they have that involve keeping the earth in good shape.

This book presents simple concepts of Earth as a planet in our solar system. Topics covered include gravity, rotation, seasons, the sun, the moon, comets and asteroids, weather, and the balance necessary for life to exist on earth. The authors stress the need for keeping the planet healthy and provide simple suggestions children can implement to keep the planet healthy.

The illustrations are colorful and appealing for young readers. While this book does not cover the topic with much detail, it provides a nice overview that children in preschool and the primary grades can easily understand. Recommended as an introductory book to further exploration of space or earth day environmental topics.

Very cute and informational book to read to younger students. I enjoyed the illustrations and wording so that young kids can grasp the ideas of Earth, gravity, and our solar system. At the end of the book, there is a great section about how to protect Earth and it encourages kids to think of their own ways they can help the Earth. As the title says, this is an Earth Day book and for any schools that want to do lessons about Earth Day, this is a great book. You could base a whole lesson on this book and encourage kids to find ways to help the Earth.

from the earths point of view

I like the content and the way the earth told his story. It could use a few lmore on details on how to keep the planet from getting sick but overall it’s a good read for kids from the earths’s point view.

This is a really cool science book that teaches about basic understanding of the earth why is important and the importance of taking care of our planet. They put things like sustainability in very simple terms so that way children can understand it. I really enjoyed reading this book because I haven’t seen a lot like it on the market. I think teaching kids about sustainability and how to take care of our earth from my very young age can help promote good habits as they grow up
